The location of this hotel is perfect. It’s a short 5 min walk to local restaurants, bars and the coast path. The coastal path gas fantastic views which you can follow to the beach. The beach is lovely and quiet, only 15 minutes away from the hotel. The atmosphere of the hotel is calm and entertainment is offered but not forced throughout the day at the pool side and at the evening.
When booking this hotel we expected a 3 star hotel. The reviews at the time looked pleasing and ideal for us. I recommend checking the reviews closer to your holiday as we would have changed hotel based on others reviews. We arrived open minded and wanted to make the most of our holiday. When entering our room we were hit by the heat and humidity in the room. We were aware there would not be air con but did not expect the room to be so stuffy. There was a sign on the wall begging for our understanding with stains on the tiles. The hotel room we stayed in is in desperate need of a refurb. The room was very dated, we had no towels (reception did give us these on request), the table in the room had coffee/tea stains on it and had not been cleaned. We then cleaned this ourselves. The bathroom was our worst nightmare, stained walls with shampoo down the shower walls, rusting taps, clogging shower plug, grouting that looked as though it had never been cleaned! We were only there 4 nights and requested the cleaner did not come to clean again due to other reviews of stealing at the hotel. One of our towels was stained in bleach. There were several cracks on the walls also. Personally, I don’t feel this room should have had guests stay whilst the hotel have renovated some rooms. If you are lucky enough to have a renovated room you may have a more positive view of the room.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and location is perfect for a base. However, this hotel really needs a refurb and better cleaning, not signs on walls begging for understanding!! We will not be returning to this hotel but would love go return to a cleaner hotel within the area.

First and foremost, people need to remember this is a 3 star hotel, not a 5 star, lots of reviews of people with expectations far above what they have booked. Nowhere do they advertise they have air con, so why people moan that they don't is the visitors problem, not the hotel the same as people moaning about Cockroaches and bugs, they were there long before the hotel ever was, in the Canaries expect a few little crawlies about the place, it's normal. This is a basic hotel for very little money. So lets begin an honest review: Negatives: Most of the rooms are tired and need a lick of paint, communal areas also look a little tired. And that ties ups the negatives. Positives: Great location, cleaners came when requested, fresh sheets and towels, always something to eat at meal times, was blown away by the hand sized Salmon fillets the one night along with the fresh donner kebab. The drinks at the bar are good, the staff get through the queues quickly [if there is one]. The glass retaining system means there's never tables full of half drunk drinks left everywhere encouraging wasps and other bitey bugs. The pool was clean and one was heated and not overly chlorinated, plenty of sunbeds and no sunbed wars. The hotel wasn't overly busy, so meal times even if you went at opening time there was no queues, at all meal times we never shared the dining hall with more than 7 other families, the pool never emptied as soon as dining hall was opened, it was all very chill. It falls silent at 11.30pm after the bar closes and the staff finish putting the furniture away ready for the cleaners in the morning to clean it all. Conclusion: Some people are just to expectant of this little hotel, they've bought a beer hotel and expect champagne. I would go back without hesitation, it was cheap and cheerful and did the job it was asked to do.

We had a lovely, chilled week here with the family and, overall, it was a relaxing holiday with a nice atmosphere.

The rooms are quite tired and there is no air conditioning. We were provided with one fan, which wasn’t really enough. We requested another fan and were told one would be brought to the room, but unfortunately it never arrived. As a result, we had to sleep with the doors open to keep the room cool. The room was cleaned daily, although the standard of cleaning was fairly basic.

On the positive side, I found the beds comfortable, although the pillows weren’t great. I did ask for an extra pillow but was told this wasn’t possible.

The pool area was always clean and had a lovely, relaxed feel. The entertainment lady was friendly enough and added to the pleasant atmosphere.

The food was okay. I personally found something to eat every day, although my partner wasn’t particularly impressed with the selection or quality.

One thing I would definitely recommend is taking plenty of mosquito spray with you. We were absolutely eaten alive during our stay, so it’s something worth being prepared for!

Overall, we had a lovely, relaxed family holiday. There are certainly areas that could be improved, particularly the rooms, cooling and some of the facilities, but the chilled atmosphere and clean pool area made for an enjoyable stay.
