I chose this hotel mainly because of the large balcony in the Junior Suite, premium sea view. Table, chairs and 2 sun beds and a view to die for. It didn’t disappoint. All of the rooms at his hotel seem huge. Separate lounge, kitchen, bathroom with 2 sinks. Massive bed. Staff were polite and responded quickly to a light that was out. Food was good. Better than I expected after reading reviews. Plenty of choice. Fish and meat cooked fresh each night. Also a choice of other dishes, stews, pasta, pizza every night and chips. Canarian potatoes were my favourite. Desserts mainly cake apart from one night. Ice cream every day. Cava for breakfast. Also churros, pancakes, all the cooked stuff, cold meats, yoghurts, garlic bread, pastries, bread, rolls. Didn’t try lunch. The free All Inclusive drinks were perfectly acceptable for us. Always seemed to be able to get crisps and nuts for snacks either in pool bar or the lounge bar in the evening along with other things at lunchtime. Pools were not as cold as I expected. No problem getting in. Did have an issue with sunbed savers. I didn’t think this would be a thing at this hotel which was another reason why I chose it BUT people did reserve anywhere shady, umbrellas. I sat on a hard chair at the pool bar one day for 2 hours because I wanted shade, looking out on ‘empty’ sunbeds with towels on. It makes me so angry. Learnt later the best time to go to pool was after 4pm. Entertainment wasn’t great. Bad karaoke etc but some people were enjoying it. It’s nice area to sit regardless. The building is a really strange design. Lots of empty spaces and looks almost industrial but it wouldn’t put me off going again. Yes it needs a bit of refurbishing in places but again it didn’t bother us at all. I’m on holiday, not buying the place. Lots of water refilling stations everywhere which is handy. Location is great. Shops and bars right outside. Beach right across the path but a better beach is a 10 min walk to the right as you come out of hotel. Main area of town is a 10 min walk and the marina a little further. It was great being so close to the airport. Only took about 15 mins to be dropped off on coach transfer. Perfect. Also liked the planes flying over so low. There’s a bus that picks up outside every morning at 9am (not Monday) and goes to Oasis Wildlife Park which we really enjoyed. Bus costs €7.50 each but you have to pay when you get there. You can buy your entry ticket online or at the park.
Pools were very clean, salt water and warm. Activities through the day with Miki and Miguel - they made out hotel! Absolutely bonkers father and son team, water polo, aqua aerobics, darts, riffle shooting and archery until 2pm then entertainment in the evening - such good fun.
Hotel was spotless, junior suite was huge! Bat staff 10/10, always welcoming and smiley.
Food was good, always something you could find to eat, like any buffet restaurant, food was hot and plenty of choice.
Beach right outside and bars and restaurants next door.
Walked into the town for football, everyone having a lovely time.
Would definitely return.
Don't let the bad reviews put you off, yes there are probably better hotels but for what we paid we thoroughly enjoyed it.
We did a week. Stayed in room 244 which was a huge apartment that had a great sized comfortable bed balcony with sea veiw. All day sunshine and had two chairs,, table and two sun loungers. Very nice sized fridge and small freezer. Kitchen was hob, no oven but microwave provided. Tbh we didn't use it except the kettle. We did the all inclusive deal but if I stayed again I would only do B&B. The food in the restaurant was plentiful but alot of dishes were repeated day on day. My preference is I'm there for an experience so give one to me. My favourate dish of the whole week was the mixed fish stew. Breakfast was the same repeated daily. I noticed on day one that the pool sunbed wars were on. There is simple not enough to cater for a hotel of this size. I'm so glad we had our own on balcony so because of this we was restricted to the all day bar. I went to the ground floor were the BK supermarket solved that including bags of ice 😜. The room was cleaned daily by fatima and she does a great job. I hope she enjoyed my gift I left her.It was great having BBC1, 2, ITV, Channel 4 channels on the TV for the UK formula 1 and world Cup games
Now for the only negative point - based on the second floor the nighttime became interesting as each night we had cockroaches that seemed to be coming from under the sink cabinets. Different coloured brown and huge black ones. While this doesn't bother me it did the other half when they are also on the walls of the bathroom. The black one are really fast to catch but I successfully deposited them back to the beach where they originated from. Due to this her sleep was seriously affected.
Would I return again. Yes I would but only as a couple, I annually bring the kids and grandkids over to the canaries but I don't feel this resort would suit them as they would be bored within days cos they cannot just lay in the sun.
If you want bustling places stick to tenerife or lanzarote. If you want quietness this place is great.
Oh and room 244 is 1440 steps each way from reception via the lift near the children's play area. The view was worth it though and I would seriously recommend the slight room upgrade for the sea veiw rooms as many others are in the shade all day.
Regarding outside food we ate out on four of the seven nights bacause when we arrived down the restaurant about 8.30 there was hardly anything left but still had a another hour of service to go or it looked like it had been there for ages. The little Spanish fish place just up the ramp was outstanding. We did Indian and tapas too near the Centro mall. If you want to dance and party head to pablos but be there early to get a table. The entertainment acts are decent.
Stayed all Inclusive . Hotel is in a great location across from the beach. Lovely large rooms with bedroom, living area and kitchen . housekeeping done every day and all staff in hotel were very pleasant. No real entertainment at night for a 4 star hotel so something they need to look at .back to all Inclusive and as a vegetarian lived on salad and chips all week as they don't cater enough for vegetarians and seem to put meat or chicken in everything .The cocktails were from machines and full of sugar and you had to pay for a real cocktail . Would go back but only bed & breakfast and would eat out as there are a lot of places nearby . Did meet a lot of lovely people in the hotel and received a lovely card and bottle of cava for my birthday.
Just finishing up a break here. Really like the hotel - shared area are well designed and have a really nice aesthetic. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Rooms are a decent size and the pull out sofa has had no complaints from my teenage son! Hotel is right on the beach so a fab location. Only bits to say are that the hotel has a self catering stay option - I think this is disingenuous - while our room has a hob and fridge it only has limited plates etc (for 2 despite booking being for 3). And it’s limited - nose fork spoons, water glasses and small cups - no chopping it ms not pots or pans so effectively you can’t make food in your kitchenette. I had planned on doing so and based the board choice on this so frustrated that it’s not possible. All In all a lovely place to stay just be aware.
