A good family hotel
We’ve had a great family holiday at Elba Sara and although we had a couple of small issues ( unfortunately our cleaner/s) weren’t as efficient as the ones mentioned in the previous review ! ) it didn’t spoil our overall experience. The food in the main restaurant has been excellent, always something for everyone and all the staff work extremely hard. The pool areas are great but it does get very busy and unless you reserve sunbeds early it can be difficult to get shade. The poolside snack bar is ok , but things do run out and are not always replaced quickly. The bar staff in the main bar also work incredibly hard and are a great bunch of people! Evening Entertainment for adults is not brilliant and finding somewhere to sit in the evening can be a challenge too ! Overall a good family hotel with spacious rooms which could be made better if they sort the housekeeping issues out across the hotel !

Another fabulous family holiday
We have just returned home from our second visit to Elba Sara. We stayed for 10nights over two rooms with 3generations of family ranging from 4years old to 72. The rooms were spacious, and cleaned everyday by the lovely maids.
The pool area is lovely, 3 different pools to suit everyone, as a family we used them all. Our youngest particularly enjoyed the splash park. We also witnessed this area being cleaned every day. We got to experience the foam party on the last full day of our holiday, brilliant atmosphere and fun for the kids.
Out the back of the hotel is a lovely beach, as well as an area where the chipmunks live and a water inlet that has a lot of fish. If you have children (or parents) that love animals this location is such a plus point for the hotel! We spent a lot of time looking for fish, crabs &chipmunks.
The restaurants are good, we have fussy eaters and always found something to eat. Particularly liked the Canarian& Mexican nights. We also visited the Italian, the staff work hard in the to make it a special experience.
We mainly used the lobby bar, clean and welcoming with the added benefit of the live music.
The staff across the hotel were lovely, very welcoming and kind. It was nice to see familiar faces from when we were last here two years ago.
Only downside to hol was the lack of late checkout room. The hotel does have a shower room you can book for free, but it is literally a small room with a shower and a sink, no room to put bags anywhere and no air con or air circulating, so very hot and hard to get dry after shower. Having said that it would not put us off returning& will not dampen any of the fab family memories we have made this trip.

Amazing hotel!
This hotel is absolutely fantastic, the entertainment team especially are second to none constant entertainment throughout the day and the evenings. We travelled as a family of 5 including 2 children aged 5&2 and would definitely go back to this hotel again! The rooms are so spacious and extremely clean, I did have a couple of issues with ants but we mentioned it to reception and within 10 minutes housekeeping were in my room and did another clean around which I thought was excellent service. We didn’t walk to main the town but we did get a taxi and couldn’t believe how cheap it was, €7 return and if you do go to the main town definitely try Fado Rock as that restaurant was amazing! Elba Sara is an amazing hotel especially for families!
Awesome…just awesome
Currently writing this review as our bus pulls out of the hotel car park…gutted to be leaving, It’s not often we say that about holidays, but this hotel is amazing. The staff make it, especially the animacion team. Shows amazing, mini discos brilliant and have the kids in the palm of their hands. Food was pretty good. Especially Mexican night! Tex mex restaurant was fab too, Splash pool and main pool perfect! Location is tremendous, right on the beach and a lovely promenade walk into caleta de fuste,
Would love to come back, prices for next year looking much more expensive but let’s see if any operators do any deals.
If I had to find one negative, rooms could be updated but lobby area is beautiful.

No need to be rude.
Watching the England quarter final vs Norway, it's extra time and the member of staff abruptly turned the television off. To be fair they had a sign that said the television is turned off at 12.30am but was still surprised seeing as its a world cup quarter final. We accepted this and quietly watched the last 10 minutes on our phone and the staff came over again and rudely told us that the area was closed and we needed to go to bed. Im not a child and you dont tell me to go to bed. Rude staff. Funny thing is we were all quite sober, there was a drunk guy in the back of the room that fell over shortly after and staff were no where to be seen but were happy to target us for no reason.
