This magnificent hotel is beautifully nestled in the district of Antigua, just by Caleta de Fuste beach. The wonderful local harbour as well as shopping options, restaurants and bars can be easily reached on foot. Guests will be able to find convenient public transport links approximately 300 metres from the hotel. The airport is around 7 km away and the capital of the island, Puerto de Rosario, is 12 km from the hotel. This is a perfect location to spend a sunny holiday by the sea.

Barcelo - Great place!
Fantastic family resort – we will definitely return to Barceló
We stayed at Barceló Fuerteventura in July 2025 for 10 days as a family with two children, and we had such a good experience that we will definitely stay with Barceló again in the future.
For us, the biggest highlight was the entertainment. The entertainment team were fantastic, particularly with the children. There was always something happening during the day, with music playing around the resort and activities including volleyball, games, quizzes and bingo. They did a really good job of involving both adults and children without making you feel pressured to participate.
The evening entertainment was also very good. Over our 10-night stay there was plenty of variety, including live singers, shows and different entertainment each night. The kids absolutely loved the shows, and there was always something to look forward to in the evening.
The pool facilities were excellent. There were plenty of pools to choose from, and having a heated saltwater pool was particularly good when travelling with children.
We booked a family suite and were extremely impressed with it. It was huge, the beds were very comfortable, and the family-sized bathtub was amazing. Having that amount of space makes a massive difference when you’re staying for 10 days with children.
The main area where I think there is room for improvement is the food. The buffet restaurant could get quite busy and the food wasn’t what I would describe as top-notch, although there was enough choice that we could normally find something everyone would eat. This is something we’ve experienced at a number of all-inclusive resorts, so it certainly wasn’t enough to spoil the holiday.
The restaurant staff were a little mixed as well. Some were perfectly good, while a few could come across as slightly off or less friendly. Again, this was a relatively minor issue compared with the overall experience.
I would definitely recommend upgrading to the Premium All Inclusive if your budget allows.
Overall, this was a fantastic family holiday. The combination of the entertainment team, constant activities, music, pools, evening shows and an excellent family suite made it a brilliant resort for us and, most importantly, our children had a fantastic time.
Our experience here has actually made us much more likely to choose Barceló hotels for future family holidays.
We would absolutely return.

Happy the cleaner
We was in room 8043 the room was cleaned by Happy it was spotless always fresh water, beds made and bathroom cleaned with fresh and clean towels Happy was always smiling and polite nothing was too much trouble for her would stay again

A relaxing week in the Sun
We have been to this Hotel quite a few times now and always enjoy our stay here as long as the sun is shining. Only downside with Caleta is the walk along to the pier, the walkway needs replaced as always broken so a bit of an eye sore. Also the pathway from outside the Irish bar all the way up to where the Market is when it is there. The pathway is all uneven and broken in places as well as having a lot of litter about which is a shame as its one of the main walkways

Barcelo Fuerteventura MARvellous
Hotel was extremely busy being the end of holiday time but staff coped well with the volume. location is perfect between the beach, seafront promenade, near the marina, adjacent to the shops and walking distance to the Market and bus station. Just a short journey to the airport and nearest town, the capital Puerto del Rosario. Plentiful supply of pools, entertainment, bars and restaurants on site.
Best hotel for families
Just come back from an amazing 10 days in the Barcelo Fuerteventura Mar. Amazing Staff, food location and entertainment. I would highly recommend a visit to this wonderful hotel to any family thinking of a holiday in the future.
