Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Although the hotel is good don’t know how it got a 4* plus rating. On checking in went through the hallway to the lifts and plaster was falling off the ceiling and maintenance were poking holes in it due to obviously a leak. The lifts are small and do get busy , luckily only on the second floor so used the stairs most of the time. The room was fine with an excellent shower. Problem was the air conditioning, we put it on cold when going out (18 degrees) but on return hours later it was still 26 degrees in our room. Only stayed B&B but the food quality and variety were poor. Also if you didn’t queue for a sunbed at 9am you didn’t get one . Plenty of beds with towels on and no people. Sorry but won’t be returning. Stayed at other hotels in the area what are way better. Also ceiling fan in room didn’t work.
17 glorious days spent here. Staff from arrival to departure so friendly and helpful . Absolutely spotless throughout . Food , well didn’t get to try it all( ran out of time) but what we did have was superb and everything was laid out perfectly in the various displays.Well done to all. Room was refurbished & cleaned every day . Superb room staff. Sunbeds? As in all hotels not enough , could do with some more parasols though. Quite entertaining to watch the 9am rush to pop your towels on the various front row sunbeds though . Plenty of room over the road next to sea. 😳Overall a superb experience and hopefully back next year to repeat. Well done to all front of house as well as those hidden behind the scenes who work so hard to make our experience enjoyable.
We are currently staying at Melia Costa Del Sol on a Jet2 Holiday, room 2709. We booked a double sea view room with the Level upgrade. All in all not a cheap 9 night holiday. Firstly, please don’t bother with the Level upgrade as it’s not worth the extra costs. We have a room with two twin beds pushed together, there is virtually no descent wardrobe space to put our clothes, we are living mostly out of our suitcases, particularly annoying as Jet2 allow 22 kilos of luggage per person which we were both well below and still not enough space to put our clothes away. The air conditioning has a problem which is not pleasant. We have a partial sea view but have a better view of the steps and the lift to the Old Town, the Melia Convention Centre roof and as mentioned a limited sea view. We understand that these Level rooms have been refurbished recently but struggling to understand why a window in the shower cubicle is a good idea as when we use the bathroom at night the light wakes the other one up. The lifts to the rooms are tiny, 4 people at best and at busy times you spend a lot of time waiting for a lift. TBH we’ve stayed a cheaper hotels in the area and they are much better.
Came here with my boyfriend for our anniversary and very happy we chose this hotel! Very modern and clean with really friendly staff! Our room was a superior deluxe, I had emailed ahead to ask for a high up room with a good view of the sea and it didn’t disappoint! Our room was on the 9th floor with a perfect view. Room was very spacious and bed and pillows were extremely comfy! Breakfast was plentiful and really tasty with fresh fruit, pancakes, eggs. The only downside to this hotel was the pool area, both on the ground and roof pools I felt were way too small for the size of the hotel and was always crowded. We ended up at the beach every day but overall would recommend this hotel and would come back next year! Perfect location right on the beach with lots of restaurants, cafes around!
Right from the very start every member of staff we met were friendly and welcoming, my only concern here was that we told by recepton to wait for our room in reception, after a while we asked if it was ready and it was. Could the member of staff not simply let us know? The breakfast was superb and again all staff were freindly. Our room was slightly underwhelming with two single beds pushed together, these moved a lot overnight allowing pllows to fall to the ground. Close to beach, good service at the bar.
