We checked in to this hotel yesterday. Our experience so far is a bit disappointing, especially considering this is an Iberostar hotel with great reviews.
We booked the Junior suite with pool view. The suite itself was spacious, but the balcony was extremely small and closed off more like an alcove with a tiny window that made it so you couldn’t really sit in the balcony and enjoy the view. What made this even more disappointing was that we had paid for a Junior Suite with a terrace, yet other guests who had booked the same room category had significantly larger balconies and much better views. We brought this up with the staff, but they showed little concern and made no effort to address the inconsistency or explain the difference.
When we asked whether there was any way to improve the situation, such as moving us or offering an upgrade, we were told that all the rooms in the same category were fully booked and we would have to pay extra for an upgrade. They offered a 30% discount on the upgrade.
The website should definitely have these rooms with an obstructed view in a different category at a lower price.
At check-in, we were assured that our suite and our children’s room would be located in the same area. Unfortunately, they were assigned in completely different parts of the hotel. When we raised the issue, the staff did not seem to acknowledge that this was different from what had been promised and showed very little willingness to resolve it.
We also received conflicting information about the pool facilities. We were told the pool would remain open after 7:00 p.m. and that towels would be available at a designated location. When we went there, there were no towels, and after walking back to reception, we were simply told that the towel service had already closed. Clear and consistent communication would have avoided this inconvenience.
While the property has potential, the inconsistencies have affected our experience. We expected more from an Iberostar hotel with such high reviews.

We stayed at Iberostar Selection Marbella Coral Beach in June 2025 and unfortunately this was one of the most stressful hotel experiences we have ever had.
We booked and paid for a Junior Suite through Go Global and travelled with our 6-year-old child. The hotel informed us about an additional charge only after the first night of our stay, even though we checked in openly as a family.
What followed completely ruined our holiday. For three consecutive days we were repeatedly contacted regarding the disputed charge. We received calls on our mobile phone, calls to our room, and were approached multiple times in public areas, including the swimming pool.
On 24 June, hotel management threatened that we could be removed from the hotel if we did not accept the disputed charge. Our room access was blocked and the police were called regarding what was essentially a billing dispute.
During discussions, we were treated disrespectfully and were called liars by members of the reception management team. Instead of helping to find a reasonable solution, the situation was escalated and became extremely stressful for our family.
The room itself also did not meet the standards expected from a 4-star Iberostar property. We found damaged furniture, wardrobe doors that did not function properly, and visible mold around one of the bathroom ventilation. Ants climbing into bed and biting, they look dirty at check in and the room smells bad.I have photographs documenting these issues.
What should have been a relaxing family holiday turned into several days of stress, pressure and confrontation.
I cannot recommend this hotel based on our experience.
Nice clean resort. Try not to rack up €800 room service bill over the weekend 😂😂 Would return though. Pools were nice and apartment spacious Reception a bit slow at times. Easy walk to the centre though 15 mins walk max and your in Peurto quite.
