Monarque Torreblanca is set in a peaceful area of Fuengirola on the Costa del Sol, just a short walk from Torreblanca Beach. The hotel enjoys a relaxed seaside setting while still being within easy reach of Fuengirola’s lively centre, shops and promenade. Good transport links nearby make it easy to explore the wider Costa del Sol, including Málaga and surrounding coastal towns.
This comfortable hotel is well suited to guests looking for a laid-back beach holiday with convenient facilities on hand. Guests can relax by the outdoor swimming pool surrounded by sun loungers, unwind in the gardens, or enjoy a drink on the terrace. Inside, the hotel offers a welcoming lounge area and entertainment spaces, with regular seasonal evening activities providing a sociable atmosphere.
Guestrooms are bright, spacious and designed for comfort. Each room includes air-conditioning, free Wi-Fi, satellite TV, a safe, minibar and an en-suite bathroom with hairdryer. Rooms feature a private balcony providing a pleasant space to relax during your stay.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Great value hotel and very clean. It is dated in the reception and bar area but the rooms are large and airy, have a free safe, fridge and brilliant air con, they were refurbished a few years ago, there is loads of storage space. Two pools, one with activities in mid and high season. There are plenty of sunbeds, sometimes you might have to take one from the stacked piles, not sure why people are saying not enough sunbeds as we always found some even in August. Grassed areas around the pool are well maintained. We have stayed many times and never had a problem with cleanliness. The food this year was better than our last two visits, something wrong if you can't find something to eat. Not sure why guests think hotels have to serve chicken nuggets, hotels cannot possibly cater for everyone's taste and eating habits. There was steak, pasta, pizza, casseroles, duck, breaded chicken, lamb chops, pork steak, turkey steak, fajitas, burgers, hotdogs curry's, fish, seafood such as prawns, mussels, squid, clams etc paella, rice dishes etc and even a roast dinner with yorkshire pudding, vegetables were varied and plenty of them. Sometimes the food was not always warm. The breakfast was good and this year included Back bacon, which I haven't had in any other 4 star hotel for years. The location is at the quieter end of Fuengirola but there are still plenty of bars, restaurants and shops just a short stroll away. The beaches are excellent and go on for miles. Transport is very accessible, buses stop a short distance from the hotel and the train station is just behind the hotel. This hotel is far cheaper than many others and is good value. If you want the all singing and dancing hotel full of amenities go somewhere else. Evening entertainment isn't great usual sort of holiday stuff, we dont particularly watch it. For a good value hotel offering decent food( in comparison to many other hotels) in a clean setting, although its dated in some areas, the value cannot be beaten. We thought the AI snacks and ice cream selection was very good, especially compared to some other hotels on that part of the coast. Staff are friendly and helpful, AI tends to be cheaper booked in with a holiday package. There are always things that can make a hotel better, but do the whingers actually compare prices and value.
We spent a week here, staying on an All Inclusive package. We came to have a relaxing week chilling and taking it easy, and it ticked all the boxes for that.
It was early in the season, so not busy, and we had no problems getting a sun lounger, or seats around the pool where the snack bar was.
Food was good, and the variety was decent, but we did venture out to eat on a couple of nights for a change of scenery.
Room was large and comfortable with a balcony, table and chairs. Beach and centre a few minutes walk away with plenty of places to eat and drink. Train station just behind the hotel will take you to Malaga and all the other resorts along the coast. It’s fast and easy, and the ticket machine is on the platform. We would definitely stay again.
Start with the positives: hotel clean and tidy Staff friendly Family room good size(one with 2 rooms) Close to everything needed Negatives: food is rubbish (nothing for my son to eat who has Autism not even nuggets(yes I did ask) also couldn’t sit on a little bit bigger table as you had to sit on the number of people you had but the tables were small and made you feel penned in as all crammed to close. Not geared up for the british at all, as in the rubbish pool side entertainment only speaking in Spanish and playing Spanish music, to busy talking to Spanish guests than doing anything else, the life guard was to busy flirting with young girls than actually looking after the pool. The biggest thing of all was the Lifts , two tiny lifts that could fit 4 people in at a time and they were sooooooo slow, (yes we did walk down the stairs from floor 7 ). The room was cleaned to a ok standard but no clean towels were left at times. The view from the balcony was good.
Location was not to bad train station right next to hotel rooms exerlant size maid and hotel staff very friendly food repetitive but ate well pool needs more sun beds also no entertainment around little pool what bit of entertainment was always round big pool. entertainment team was always entertaining ONE FAMILY from Belgium so otherwise children were missing out and as for the lifts they were shocking waiting 10 minutes or more for.one to come .
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend it. Everything was very clean, and my room was spacious and comfortable. Housekeeping did an excellent job every day.
The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. The breakfast was great, with a good variety of options.
The pool area was well maintained, and I always found a sunbed available. I also liked the lovely green surroundings. The location is excellent—just a short walk to the beach and the beachfront promenade, and the train station is also nearby, making it very convenient to explore the area.
Overall, I had a great experience and would happily stay here again.
