This beautiful complex is situated in the picturesque fishing village of Los Boliches, which is a part of the famous coastal town of Fuengirola. The airport is about 15 minutes’ drive away. At a walking distance is the long golden beach and crystal clear water runs from the Mediterranean Sea, where guests can practice a multitude of different water sports or simply relax under the nice sun. Just around the corner, visitors will find supermarkets, charming restaurants and cafés. To enjoy a sunny day, guests can rest and relax in the outdoor pool area. For the sports enthusiast, there are many excellent golf courses in the area. The rooms are decorated with soothing colours and are equipped with all the amenities deeded for a memorable and pleasant stay.
The apartment was clean and of a decent size. We are a family of 2 adults and 2 teens…2 in the bedroom and 2 in the sofa bed in the living room. The kitchen is a good size and is reasonably well equipped. Really liked having a washing machine as meant we could keep beach towels etc fresh. There was a dishwasher but we didn’t use it as there were only 4 place settings-worth of crockery and utensils so we found it easier just to hand wash everything. The air con was very effective. The rooms are serviced every second day with fresh towels being provided. Bed sheets were changed halfway through the week. Staff were all pleasant. There can be some noise from other apartments when chairs are moved. We didn’t hear many other guests but there can be some noise from chairs scraping in apartments above and doors slamming in corridors. There are also quite a few barking dogs at times in the neighbouring streets. On the whole the apartments were quiet with respectful guests. Ideal for families or people looking for a quiet break away. Pool area is lovely. We used the pool bar one lunchtime and the food was nice. The hotel needs to buy probably another 10-20 sunbeds as there was a shortage quite a few days which led to people then booking them with towels early morning. There is a lifeguard on part of the day. There is a fairly steady incline up to the hotel so be aware of this if you have mobility issues. The beach area is lovely and we went there a few days instead of the pool. €16 for 2 sunbeds and a parasol, makes it fairly expensive if it’s a family of 4 going to the beach each day. The hotel is very handy to Mercadona supermarket, we liked to get fresh pastries from there each morning. We got the train to and from Malaga airport (all very easy) and during our week we went to Torremolinos and Benalmádena by train in the evenings. One evening we got an Uber to Miracor shopping centre. I would recommend Mediterráneo Real Aparthotel and would stay there again if back in the area.
First time visit. Was very impressed. 2 MINS to large supermarket. 10 mins to the beach and 5 mins to the town. Rooms self-catering and of a very high standard with air con. Great swimming pool spotless..recently refurbished with tiles, very impressed also a jacuzzi. Adjacent restaurant, nuce menu (especially the nachos!) Lifts are also in the property. Nice balcony to enjoy the views of surrounding mountains or the swimming pool. Walking from town to the apartments is up a hill, so need to be reasonably fit. Would recommend and will return. Also, excellent wifi in rooms.
Great quiet location , beside two supermarkets. Peaceful and calm atmosphere. Rooms perfect , large, spotless ,well equiped, comfy beds , good sound proofing . Respectful quiet guests. Great cafe attached to hotel. Staff efficient, friendly and welcoming. Pool lovely , salt water and reasonably warm. Will definately be returning soon
Nice apartments massively let down by renovation work taking place to the pool which we weren't made aware of and which were quite frankly disgusting and unsafe. Couldn't really fault the apartment itself aside from lack of a proper oven and limited channels in English on the TV. Spacious 2 bed, 2 bathrooms and good sized balcony and washing machine. Hoever, the day after we checked in from a late arrival we were masisvely disappointed to see the pool area looking nothing like it does on the photos and renovation work being completed whilst people were sunbathing and using the pool. This included workers using noisy electric tile cutters, tools left on the jacuzzi steps and worst of all bits of plaster around and at the bottom of the pool. We had no prior warning of this and would not have booked this hotel had we known. The sungloungers were old and dirty as well. We opted to remain at the hotel as packing and moving hotels was too much hassle for the length of time we were there for.
Really, really disappointed with the pool area, and lack of any health and safety or apologies for the works. We spent about 70% less time than we would normally have spent at the pool. If you are looking to stay here make sure that all the renovation work has been done and the pool has been cleaned. Also, wouldn't really recommend the apartments for families as there is little to do and it does have mainly an older clientele. Good location near the, shops, bars and restaurants of Los Boliches and the train station. The walk up to the hotel isn't that steep but may put older less mobile people off.
Lovely spacious, well equipped apartment. Stayed with husband and 2 teenage granddaughters for 4 nights. We had booked 2 bedrooms but were pleasantly surprised that we also had 2 bathrooms. The twin was en suite with shower over bath, perfect for the girls, the double had a shower room opposite which also contained a washing machine. We used it once, but instructions were in Finnish. I'm sure we would have been given in English if we'd asked but didn't need to for such a short stay. Kitchen had 4 ring hob and microwave and all the utensils we needed. A small pan would have been useful but no big deal that there wasn't one. Full size fridge freezer was useful , the real bonus was the dishwasher. Kitchen/ diner/ seating area was open plan and contained a sofa bed had there been more of us. TV had some English channels but we didn't use it. Plenty of storage space. Both bedrooms and living area had double wardrobe, drawers and bedside tables with drawer. As always not enough hangers, but plenty of plug sockets and pleased to say mirrors near them. Balcony was a bit small for 4 people but it was unusual for us all to want to sit out at the same time. Usually just me and husband having a quiet drink before making breakfast while the girls had an extra hour. The only reason I gave the hotel a 4 rather than 5 was because there was work going on at the pool throughout our stay. The pool itself and jacuzzi are nice, as is the surrounding area. Newly laid tiles which are non slip, but as the work is not yet complete there was a different area each day being worked on. I know this had to be done, but it was a bit messy and left that way so we were walking through the dust etc. The steps to the jacuzzi were full of building debris which then got into the pool itself. Should really have been cleaned each day to prevent this. No pool bar/ snack bar but to be honest we found this a bonus. We stocked up at the supermarket and took a cool bag down with us. Other than this the hotel was spotlessly clean throughout. There is a room with a pool table and air hockey table and also a library. A restaurant/ bar at at the front of the hotel, looks nice but we didn't use it. Very well stocked and inexpensive supermarket just opposite. The fresh bread was delicious. Lots of bars and restaurants within a 10 minute walk. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.
