This superb beach hotel enjoys a frontline setting in the bustling resort town of Fuengirola. The hotel is perfectly situated just beside the beautiful sandy beach and is within easy walking distance of the shops, restaurants, bars and entertainment venues the town has to offer. Malaga airport is conveniently set just 20 km away from the hotel. Business and leisure guests will be able to take advantage of the venues to host meetings and other private events. For a sunny day, the outdoor pool area has sunbeds, parasols and an incredible pool to dip in. All visitors will be impressed by the culinary delights the restaurant has to offer. The rooms are beautifully appointed and well equipped with all the needed amenities to have the best experience.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Our second time staying at the IPV and it didn’t disappoint. This hotel is excellent. It is very traditional in decor, rooms are large and beds are extremely comfortable. We did B&B and the breakfast is plentiful. Staff are very helpful and polite. Maid service daily.
The location is perfect. At the end of fuengirola you are outside of the lovely hustle and bustle, but a 5 min uber takes you straight into the town or you can do. 15/20 min walk along the front promenade.
A public beach is just through the rear gate across the promenade and €8 gets you a bed with the comfiest mattress and a parasol. 100% recommend and already looking at rebooking for next year.
Beautiful hotel, rooms spacious, beds very comfy, spotlessly clean, staff at bars nd maid very friendly, excellent location close to beach, entertainment in evening not great, good hotel food let's it down not great and always cold to luke warm never hot... had a nice week away here.
The hotel is very spacious, same for the rooms and is located on the seafront. It is a shame that they do not have free sunbeds on the beach, only at their swimming pool. The housemaids are fantastic, very customer focused and made sure our rooms were spotless. We were on a H/B basis and unfortunately the food is very average. I noticed that the starters were the same every evening and the desert' selection was very poor. However, the fresh fishes's station was a good addition and saved the poor selection at the buffet. We would like to thank Jose Antonio, our waiter at the restaurant. Amazing customers'skills, very attentive to our need, very professional and so polite and respectful. It was a pleasure to see him every evening at dinner time. I beleive that the staff at the reception should receive some training in customer service. At numerous occasion, while we were speaking to receptionists, they would let another customer interrupt our conversation and take care of thisr customer, whislt we had to wait for the receptionist to come back to us. Instead of saying to us they did not have an answer to our question, they would give us a random answer. They were polite to us but would benefit to a refresher training.
Good location, great breakfast and very clean rooms. However, the hotel could benefit from a general refurbishment to get updated to modern standards and designs.
The main reason for this somewhat negative review is the self inflicted noice and disturbance.
Marketed as “recommended for adults” and located in the quiet end of town, we were expecting a peaceful a relaxing setting around the pool. Instead we got meaningless “animation” with yelling, loud music and endless disturbance. I guess that less than 15 people participated in the activities like water aerobics.
I would prefer kids playing over this “animation” anytime and do not plan to return!
This was my 12th visit to the IPV and my wife's 6th time ( I regularly make an October visit with a friend for a last dose of sunshine). We choose the ground floor Ronda rooms for the easy access to the pool and the beach as we both enjoy swimming in the great pool and in my case in the sea as well. I have to say that I don't recognise the scenario from a recent comment regarding noise. we have only once been disturbed (two years ago) and the issue was dealt with quickly by the hotel and the table tennis table where the late night gathering took place has since been removed. We were in 4009 and had undisturbed sleep every night. We enjoyed our visit very much. Our room was ready on arrival at 1130 which was a great start. This is one of our very favourite hotels. The location at the quieter Sohail end of Fuengirola, the staff and the rooms are all excellent. We thought that the evening buffet was even better than usual this time with the themed buffets in the outside area a nice additional touch. The room was (as usual) spotlessly clean and the beds very comfortable. We asked for a kettle which was provided immediately and the small fridge kept our day time drinks nice and cool. Charging for the 10 euros for the kettle was the only minor gripe - it has always been free on request in the past and I have never come across a charge anywhere else. I am prompted to write this review by the note I made of hotel staff to particularly praise, but all of the staff are friendly and helpful. Well done in particular to Miriam (for help with booking the ground floor Ronda rooms) Alberto, Victoria, Orlando, Charifa, Jose-Andre, and Diego and my apologies to everyone who I have missed out. I look forward to my next visit in October.
