This exceptional resort boasts a magnificent location in Benalmádena right on the water's edge, and just a short taxi ride to Benalmadena Marina. The resort's convenient location means the villages of Mijas and Fuengirola are not far away with tennis and golf clubs, as well as a casino nearby. Moreover, Malaga international airport is a mere 20 minutes’ ride. Visitors may love to relax by the side of the outdoor swimming pool, sunbathing or resting under the shadow of an umbrella. After a full day of sightseeing, sporting action or playing on the beach, guests can unwind in the comfortable rooms, which are perfectly equipped with all the essential amenities needed for a pleasant stay.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Returned from a week long stay. Have never returned from holiday in more desperate need of sleep in my life! Following a delayed flight we arrived in early hours to find the sofa bed was not made up. Reception advised there was noone to assist us so we were given sheets and left to it at 2am. Not what one would expect from a four star hotel.
Each night we were awoken by loud shouting in the corridors and balconies between midnight and up to 3am. We called Reception a number of times. They would send security who would ring our bell (waking our kids up) and then come in to listen to the noise from our room. After 4 nights we moved rooms at our own cost in the hope that a higher floor and quieter area of the hotel may be better. The hotel is definitely it worthy of a 4 star. The pool is overcrowded with suloungers squashed in. Tiled paint is peeling off the floor and by 3pm it was just dirty and unkempt.
The room was clean, although very small we did cope ok with it. The kitchen and equipment were good. Towels changed daily.
The resort itself was good with plenty to do. We had a great holiday as kept ourself busy away from the hotel. We fid not have a singke pool day. If you value your peace and want to relax please consider an alternative hotel in Benalmadena as there are many.
Visited with our 13year old child, the pools are way too small for the amount of guests, not allowed balls (even to just play catch) lilos or inflatables but fine for diving & summersaults. Pool area, Tiki Bar & Moonlight lounge are filthy, no one clearing glasses & pool closed twice during our stay for ‘cleaning’ meaning the other pool was rammed & unsafe. You’ll spend most of your holiday waiting for lifts & queuing at the bar during happy hour. The supermarket, The Terrace Restaurant & maid service were the only positives.
Well really wanted to give this hotel a good review but due to 1 incident didn't think I could. Hotel was clean, rooms were small but sufficient, hotel staff were in general polite and friendly, amenities were good, onsite shop was reasonably cheap and had a lot of choice. BUT on the 27/08/2026 we were lying by the pool and witnessed an older Spanish man who had unfortunately soiled himself. He had diarrhoea all down his legs, up his back he was basically covered in s**t. He had a couple of people with him who were trying to assist. The initial reaction from the people that witnessed this incident (there was a lot ) was poor chap, he had some mobility issues and people were concerned. Then things changed he decided to climb into the main pool to clean himself down, all sympathy was lost. The people who were with him walked away. My 2 granddaughters were in the pool at the time and I quickly got them to exit the pool as did a few other parents whose kids were in the pool at the time. At least 3 people I witnessed spoke to the lifeguards to inform them of what was happening. The gentleman (not sure if that is the correct definition) proceeded to clean himself down and exit the pool, sit down and have a drink. Now I understand that the hotel staff may not have been able to stop this happening but it was their actions afterwards that caused the concern. The life guards didn't seem to know what to do. They chatted, had a look in the pool but did nothing. Whilst this was going on the pool was full at one side as the pool party was in full swing and other kids and adults were playing in the pool. After 30 minutes of inactivity I went to the reception to complain as to why they were allowing people to still be in the pool after this had happened especially considering a couple of days earlier the pool had been closed off as someone had been sick in it. In fairness to the woman on reception she acted immediately and rang someone to deal with it. When I got back to the pool a manger was clearing out the pool and moving the pool party to the adjacent pool. But there must of been at least 40 minutes when people were swimming and playing the contaminated water. When people were informed of the reason they had to exit the pool they were understandingly disgusted. Like I said earlier the hotel may not of been able to stop the incident occurring but it seemed as thought either didn't want to deal with it or didn't know what to do.
Beds are uncomfortable
Food poor and expensive as well
Lifts are busy and bad signage from bedrooms.
Pool very deep for children
Misleading info on booking.com its 3.1 km walk from marina.
Stayed in August as a family of 2 adults and our 2 young children in a one bed sea view apartment.
Apartment was on the smaller side but had good storage, lovely spacious and safe balcony, well equipped kitchenette. Large clothes airer for use.
Kids took the bedroom and we took the sofa bed on the living area so we could use the balcony and tv after they went to bed and both were very comfortable.
All areas were spotless, apartment and communal areas. Rooms cleaned daily, towels and sheets always spotless. Shower gel, shampoo and washing liquid plus dishcloth and sponge all provided.
We went self catering and used the supermarket downstairs as well as the large Dia supermarket across the road where we were able to get all our requirements for the week for breakfast and lunch, we ate dinner in various restaurants each evening. Fridge with small icebox which was ideal for icepops etc.
Ate in Terrazza restaurant on site by the pool twice and food was excellent both times. Great value kids meals in particular.
Kids used the kids club a couple of times and enjoyed it. We enjoyed the mini disco most nights too.
Reception were helpful with information and also once when we called to request additional pillows they were delivered to the room very promptly.
Taxi rank outside the hotel was a great asset. We used taxis a couple of times and they were very reasonably priced.
Downsides were the noise. The long corridors really carried the noise and other some other guests were not considerate of noise at night, speaking very loudly, yelling and singing in the corridors until 1am or so. I found it difficult to sleep until this time and this is the main reason I regretfully will not return. This probably affected us more than others as we tend not to stay up late on holidays with younger children. If we were out late we probably would not have noticed this as much.
Also on a number of occasions some kids i guess aged 10-15 rang our doorbell and then ran off, very annoying as it often disturbed bedtime for our younger kids.
The lifts were very slow, everyone joked that we lost a couple of days holiday time just waiting on the lifts.
On one occasion we saw a kid vomiting in the main pool and saw it being brought to staff attention immediately however it was about 20mins until anything was done about it (at which point we were long gone from the pool but could see and hear the announcement from our balcony).
The two small baby pools are brilliant for toddlers or young kids. One has good shade. The two main pools have only a very small section that is shallow enough for non-swimmers or children and this end of both pools was very busy for this reason, while the majority of both main pools was very quiet and underutilised due to its depth.
Overall a good resort but some small things would make it more enjoyable.
