Would we stay here again? Unfortunately it's a no.
The hotel is a lovely place to stay, the staff are very courteous and friendly. I have been a few times and will be returning soon. Can’t rate it highly enough.
Hi I love the outside of the building and the restaurant but I will leave the positivity there. When we first walked in the first room was dirty and had a raunchy smell to it. We asked to move. I offered to get a suite and pay the difference and since I booked through a third party I was denied. The second room was better but I still found a ziploc bag on the floor with stuff that did not belong to us. The major reason for the negative review is I had items stolen from the room. I let them know immediately and have called three times and no manager finds it important enough to call back. If you value your belongings do not stay here. My family lives in town and none of us will recommend this place again.
Lovely Boutique Hotel La Fonda is a very nice small hotel, ideally located in the Pueblo Village close to a number of bars and restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We stayed in a Classic Room, which was spacious, very clean, and included a well-stocked minibar. The layout of the hotel is quirky and charming, featuring a lovely roof terrace and a small courtyard pool surrounded by glass corridors. We stayed on a bed-and-breakfast basis, and while the buffet breakfast was adequate, the service could be improved slightly. There was no table service or menu available for cooked items such as eggs, so guests had to order directly through a kitchen hatch. This is only a minor criticism, but it did affect the overall service experience. Another small drawback was that the restaurant was closed for dinner on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. As the bar is located inside the restaurant, it also closed at 6pm, meaning drinks were unavailable afterwards. Again, only a minor issue, but it slightly detracted from an otherwise beautiful hotel. Bar and food prices were reasonable for a quality hotel. We also used the small gym and spa facilities, and the massages were very good value for money. Overall, we would definitely recommend this hotel and would happily return in the future.
My husband and I have stayed at this hotel on several occasions and it never fails to impress us. The location is fantastic if you want a quiet stay away from the busy coastal hotels but there are still plenty of excellent bars and restaurants on your doorstep. The hotel has had some refurbishment over the last few years and all areas are well presented and very clean. The staff are friendly and helpful.
