Globales Los Patos Park

We have just returned from the Las Patos hotel in Benalmadena and on the whole we enjoyed it. We were quite surprised that we know it's a family hotel the number of school age children that were there at this time of the year. As i,m disabled we were in one of the 2 disabled rooms which had a walk in shower. The room was always cleaned everyday and fresh towels changed. The buffet restaurant had a really good choice and there was something for everyone. I loved the cheese and ham omelette s in the morning. I,m a fussy eater so I always had the choice of salad items The soup every evening was always tasty. The hotel is always kept very clean. The staff everywhere were always friendly. It's quite a distance to walk from the hotel to the Marina. We walked it one day but as my mobility is not very good it took us about an hour birthday was because I had to sit down every so often. I'm sure if you power walk you could reach it in about 20 mins. You would miss out on the beautiful Med though. The taxis are very reasonable and we used them like a bus. The bus stops are both at the bottom of the road but beware, it's like a war zone getting on them at times. People seem to lose their manners when getting on the buses. The buses are very cheap as well and you can get to Malaga or Fuengirola for next to nothing. I really like Benalmadena and I would not hesitate to come back to this hotel hopefully for a longer stay.

Currently on day 4 of a 9 night break, pools and slides are great for kids.

The kids club has been great, our son 5 has been loving it, and our older son 12 has been enjoying the adults games. Bit disappointed the pool closes before 6 (last night 5.50) and you can’t just lie at the sun beds after this time as the full pool areas get shut and the seated area is all shaded by this time so if you don’t have a balcony facing the sun it ends at 6.

Rooms are good and always clean, although when went to put my perfume on last night i realised it was missing from my side table next to the bed, spoke to reception who after asking housekeeper have said I was already broke and smashed when they move the table - which we would have noticed as just one big room and I just bought it at the airport on the way out so put a little dampener on our day today. Food has been fine for us, we aren’t fussy eaters so always have a choice but not as big a variety we have had at other 4 star hotels. Short walk (5 minutes) to beach front and lovely area around about for morning walks.
