In response to a previous review where I mentioned the air con. I can assure who ever responds to the reviews, at the time of our stay the outside temperature was definitely not 16-18 degrees. Whatever weather apps state the weather was warm and fine. I assume that I will be told again it was 16-18 degrees. We had excellent weather for the time of year, probably the best we have had at that time and we are frequent visitors to the area. The temperature which at some point on every day reached 20+ degrees, and was sunny was a bonus. I really don't think we would have being lying around the pool area in 16 degrees and on 2 occasions, for a while, we had to take to the shade in the outdoor snack bar area. The outside temperature is not necessarily the only thing that affects temperature in a hotel room, location and sunshine are two other factors. I understand that many hotels do not use air con before the month of May but our room was ridiculously warm and even with the balcony door open, there was no breeze, due to the position of the room, and very little wind during our stay. We were not the only guests who stated their room was very warm and stuffy. If I was lucky enough to receive the last fan, I can only assume other guests had asked for all the other fans because their rooms were also too warm. Maybe more fans need to be acquired by the hotel to meet the demand of guests, when those early bookings are lucky enough to have warm, sunny weather above 20 degrees.
Having a fantastic stay at Estival Torrequebrada and would have no hesitation in returning.
I would definitely recommend that anyone considering the hotel disregards the negative comments about the drink tokens. Personally, I think the token system is a great idea and a simple way of reducing rubbish and unnecessary waste.
The hotel is exceptionally clean, with all the staff working incredibly hard to keep everything looking its best. The toilets in particular were absolutely immaculate throughout our stay.
We had no problems whatsoever getting sunbeds, especially around the adults-only pool, which was a real bonus. The food was decent, with plenty of choice, and the views across the coast are absolutely amazing.
Overall, a very enjoyable stay. Hard-working staff, excellent cleanliness, great facilities and an incredible location and view. Five stars from us.
I have now been here 4 times...as someone who never goes to a place more than once this speaks for itself. The staff are fantastic, the entire hotel is so clean, the food is great with something to suit everyone and reception are so helpful. Great having a casino, games area and small shop all within the premises to entertain everyone. The kids section is busy and bustling all day and the adult section is great for those who prefer the more quiet chilled vibes. Obviously can't comment on what its like for families but judging by every family I see they seem well entertained! This time I actually got a free upgrade to a suite which I thought was such a lovely touch! Sea views are unmatched from any sea view room. Already looking at flights for next year!
We visited this hotel as a group of five, staying in two rooms, and were pleasantly surprised to find that we had been allocated adjoining rooms, which was a lovely unexpected bonus.
The communal areas of the hotel were very clean, as were the rooms, which were cleaned daily whenever required.
The food was excellent — probably the best I have experienced in recent years. There was a different themed night every evening, with plenty of choice and something to suit everyone.
We only attended one evening of entertainment, which was the Soul Night, and we really enjoyed it. There was also never any problem finding a sunbed, unless you wanted one in a very specific area.
The only thing that let the hotel down for me was the daily activities — or, more specifically, the activities team. I really enjoy getting involved in activities such as water polo, darts and other games, but unfortunately, I didn’t find the activity staff particularly engaging with the English-speaking guests.
The majority of the activities staff appeared to be French and seemed to focus most of their attention on the French guests. We also noticed that, during their free time, they would often sit and play cards with them. Of course, this didn’t stop us from joining in with the activities, but it did make the overall experience feel a little less welcoming and inclusive for the English guests.
Overall, though, we had a lovely stay. The cleanliness, food and general facilities were excellent, and with a little more engagement from the activities team towards all nationalities, I think this hotel could be even better.
Stayed here for Easter after coming 3 years ago and enjoying our time. Staff are friendly and the hotel is very clean.
We used to go down to the pool after breakfast shortly after the gates were open and we found there was plenty of choice for sun beds. There were still sunbeds available in the afternoon. There are various different pools to choose from. There is a kids splash pool, main outdoor pool, adults only pool and an indoor pool where you need to wear a swimming cap to use. These can be purchased from the spa entrance for a few euros each.
You have to pay a deposit for the towels which was ten euros which you get back and if you want a clean towel then it is one euro to change this.
There are plenty of things for the kids with a kids club, mini disco and games arcade. There was plenty of choice of food at breakfast, lunch and dinner and always something for children. The labelling of allergies has got better but is lacking with some of the cakes not showing a label at all.
We went all inclusive and found it was great value for money with all the food and drinks available including the pool bar that has snacks, drinks and ice cream.
There is a variety of games and activities during the day which were fun.
There is a harbour close by but it is quite a walk (45mins) with plenty of shops and restaurants along the way. There is a bus that runs along this road which is quite cheap to use.
There is also a casino that is within the hotel that is used by guests and to the public. This is not noisy and you wouldn’t know it was there.
We had a great stay and would consider staying here again.
