Sandos Benidorm Suites

Dont recommend Arrived at the hotel everything was lovely looked clean booked with children emailed to inform hotel we had two vegan people no problem speak to the restaurant manager on arrival then I went looking for the kids room as advertised no room anymore no kids entertainment at all also no one informed the restaurant we were vegan spoke to them and omg the food on the first night awful but thanks to Simon and I think his name was david irish restaurant manager it got better big shout out to these guys absolutely brilliant staff apart from one lady in the restaurant who told us to move the pram where to? She decided to move the table for no reason what so ever and the drinks went all over one person in my group day two cockroaches in the bathroom grandchildren scared reception staff are rubbish grumpy and rude went every day to report cockroaches in the room after the third time I was told it was due to the time of year I don’t think so we had 2 rooms on 10th floor only one was affected all they did was remove the creature and put powder down reception staff didn’t care asked for manager but apparently they were on day off they then went on to say no one else was available i said I would speak to jet 2 rep and then they were saying no others room available I saw cockroach in the does toilets too I have been going to Benidorm for years never in this hotel and never expected cockroaches I wouldn’t recommend it

Timings for evening meal and room sizes a let down. Booked a suite for 3 adults and a baby. Online the rooms looked large with multiple cupboards, however, one of the double wardrobes was actually decoration only and did not open. Very little top area to put things on in the living room. Also simple thing as online showed enough chairs on balcony for all guests to sit out, however, only 2 chairs on balcony and despite asking twice not provided with another one. Bathroom was not pleasant, no fan, silicone all around bathroom coming away. Toilet rolls very stingy and not fun having to go to reception to get more twice. Biggest issue for us was the meal times which we should have checked prior to booking so no mark down to the hotel for this. Evening meal didn’t start until 1930hrs which with a young baby was no good as baby already in bed by that time. Further thing for families with babies no microwaves in rooms and just a tiny kettle. Also no baths but we popped to the shop and bought a large washing bowl! Food we mostly didn’t partake as we did not like eating in the dining room, very depressing area, no windows and felt crowded. Got up from the table to get some water on one occasion and food was cleared away within seconds! The salad although minimal choice, it was fresh. The dining area was clean and kept clean around the food areas. Bar snacks were ok burgers, toasties, chips and the like. Staff were hit and miss for us some ok and some miserable and disinterested. Drinks we only had a few and they were the normal heavy handed to much alcohol and the pop went flat almost immediately. Entertainment we didn’t see as in bed early with baby, no noise issues in the room and we were a low floor. Pool area was good plenty of sun beds and cleaned well each evening. Odd for us writing this review as feel very negative however from us we would say this is not a hotel for young families.
