Santi was amazing at this resort my son Samuel was obsessed with him! Great energy outgoing bubbly definitely made our holiday worth it at this hotel

Terrible food. Can't get a sunbed unless your up at silly o clock and queue. Lifts are shocking. The only good thing about this hotel is the location. Would never return

On presentation at reception it looked like a really nice hotel, very well presented and clean. We arrived, and as we expected our room was not ready but we began our holiday as every day is precious. We were booked as all inclusive, were given a little green token each which was what we had to use to get a plastic glass for our drinks. We approached the bar and I wanted a water my husband a glass of sprite, sad I know when free alcohol on the go, but we were thirsty after travelling. the chap behind the bar who did not even make eye contact threw an Ice cube into each plastic pot and threw them at us saying use machine, I was astounded as never in all my years had I met anyone so rude and ignorant. We found the machine, grabbed our drink, gave him the plastic pots back, got our token back and left never to return to his bar again. The safe in our room which I paid 21 euros for a week, kept giving us an error code every time we went to open it - in 3 days they had put 3 sets of new batteries into it and still it would only work until they plugged their device into it, the safecracker was our nickname for him, just shrugged his shoulders and walked out saying fixed, I asked him to come back and open it so I could get my stuff out which he again had to plug his little tool in to do it, from day 4 I had not safe and had to take the risk of hiding my valuables in my case, something I never do. The cleaner - well bed maker, used to knock every morning at 8.20, even though I had the do not disturb sign on the door, no chance of a lie in! The only bit of the floor that she actually mopped was from the bathroom door to the exit door. the beds were never changed the whole week we were there, though we did get clean towels every day The food was well what can I say - disgraceful - the dining room floor was never swept, the choice was dreadful, so after 2 attempts I gave up in there as well. I never once saw a cleaner round by the pool area clearing up and the staff in the dining room were invisible, people were having to clear their own tables to sit down to eat. Never again !!!! I would not recommend this hotel at all, friend had warned us as they stayed there many years ago so although it has had a facelift it is still a dreadful place to stay.
I have travelled and stayed In Benidorm for many years and the staff have always been polite and friendly but not this lot. In fact we started drinking in the Calypso where I have stayed in the past and the staff there were an absolute dream. So yes I drank out and also ate out every night. The holiday turned out to be quite expensive but a very valuable lesson was learnt and I would say to anyone who is planning a trip here to think twice.
