The outdoor swimming pool with its separate children's area is a great choice for spending the long summer days, just lazing around and perfecting that healthy tan.

The worst hotel I have ever stayed in
Checking in at 3 AM is never fun, but being greeted by a receptionist who spoke zero English and treated us with outright hostility set the tone for a completely miserable stay. He threw a key card at us for room 304 without a single word of explanation. We walked into the room only to be welcomed by two live cockroaches scuttling across the floor. The food situation was an absolute joke. The afternoon snack bar consisted of about 20 pastries sitting in a container on the bar, the size of a bread bin, completely stale and unapproachable by 5 PM. Breakfast was supposed to run from 8 AM to 10 AM, but they started running out of food by 9:15 AM every single day without ever replenishing it. To make matters worse, at 9:30 AM staff walked directly over to our table and told us, "English family, you now go," while leaving all the Spanish guests alone at their tables. I actually speak Spanish, and I heard the waiter laughing and saying "get English out." It was blatant, open racism. Dinner doesn't start until a ridiculously late 8 PM, and one night the entire hot selection was almost exclusively fish dishes, alongside some basic salad and pasta. If you wanted a hot drink, forget it—there is no tea or coffee served at lunch or dinner, just beer, wine, and a soft drinks machine that was broken the entire time. They never once asked about food allergies, which is terrifying given that I have a severe fish allergy. Logistics are a nightmare too. The pool is located across a busy road, which is fantastic when you are a single parent trying to manage two children and constantly having to haul them out of the water just to cross traffic for a drink. The "rooftop pool" is a complete misnomer, it is a tiny wading tub barely big enough for 8 to 12 people to sit in, let alone swim. Back in the room, we had a kettle but zero cups, tea, or coffee. When I finally begged the bar for some cups, housekeeping actually came into our room the next day and took them back. Out of a five-night stay, we got a grand total of one night of entertainment. The only redeeming quality of this disaster of a hotel was that a couple of individual staff members were actually polite, but management and the rest of the operation are utterly shambolic. Save your money and stay literally anywhere else.

Wouldn’t recommend staying at this hotel if your from england they don’t prioritise you at all they ignore you don’t accommodate for the english at all Your all inclusive starts from 12:15pm for drinks, definitely only suitable for spanish food was horrible, also you have to walk across a road to get to pool and it’s shared with a different hotel and the pool bar you have to actually buy your drinks it’s not included in the all inclusive No entertainment for English Would NOT recommend for english people
Hotel Cuco review
You think you have all inclusive but it doesn’t start till 12pm and not all the snacks/ drinks are available with all i. The pool is across the road and your all inclusive doesn’t include the shop that is by the pool, so you have to go back inside to get a drink and take it out with you. Each person has to get their own drinks so you can’t get a drink for your kids. Our room has no kettle with coffee station or telephone but my brothers room did. All the information in reception is in Spanish so we didn’t understand anything as we’re English. The food didn’t have a lot of variety and we really struggled trying to find something we liked and spent most nights out the hotel for food
They asked us to cancel the reservation a week before our stay.
We booked a 10-night stay at Hotel Cuco many months in advance. Just a week before our stay, we received an email from the hotel asking us to cancel our reservation with the vague promise of a 30% discount on future reservations. I don't know how they could have imagined that you could cancel a stay a week in advance, when everything is organized, flight, transfer, days off from work. We were lucky to find a much better last minute offer, with all inclusive and closer to Poniente Beach, in a hotel we know from previous years. So we immediately booked there and canceled our reservation at Hotel Cuco. Otherwise we would have had a week of anxiety waiting to get to Hotel Cuco, not knowing whether we would have a room there or not, as it is obvious that it was irresponsibly overbooked. So I recommend everyone to be very careful when booking at Hotel Cuco or elsewhere at Medina Hotels.
Very good hotel
Really enjoyed our stay here. Staff are very nice. Only downside is the choice for vegetarians is limited and you have to cross the street for the pool.
