We recently stayed at the Bristol Benidorm and had a fantastic experience overall. The location is perfect – just a short walk to the Old Town and less than two minutes from the beachfront, making it an ideal base for exploring Benidorm.
The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. We stayed in Room 106 on the first floor, which was spacious and exactly what we had requested when booking, with a balcony overlooking the street. It was lovely to sit outside and watch the world go by.
The hotel was always clean, tidy and smelled fresh. The guests were also friendly, and it seemed to attract more Spanish visitors than English, which gave it a really authentic and relaxed atmosphere.
The only minor drawbacks were that the rooms aren't the most soundproof – we could occasionally hear chairs being scraped around in the room above us – but it wasn't enough to spoil our stay. The walk-in shower also struggled to drain when the water pressure was on full, meaning the water occasionally overflowed the small ledge and onto the bathroom floor. We also noticed a strange sewer smell in the corridor on a couple of occasions, which I assume drifted in from outside, as our room never had the same odour.
We booked bed and breakfast but only had breakfast once during our stay. There was an excellent selection of food, with plenty of hot and cold options, plus fresh juices, milk and coffee stations, so there was something for everyone.
Overall, we were really impressed with the Bristol Benidorm. The friendly staff, excellent location, spacious rooms and high standards of cleanliness made it a great place to stay. We're already looking at booking again and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay within easy walking distance of both the Old Town and the beach.
Hotel Bristol is a great hotel. Spotless, great AC, great pool, great breakfast, great pool bar, and a great location. We had to leave our other hotel early because of AC issues. After watching youtubers @hangovers and handpays new episode the night before, we made a last minute booking for Sunday night. What a great choice.
Hotel near to everthing is handy.room 309 was awful road noise and furniture being moved in other rooms was horrendous.deliveries at 7am clanging .you cant sleep in.cleaners did a good job.able to charge mobility scooters was handy.the breakfast was great but thats it.dinner and tea was awful.you had to que and be taken to a table which we found daft .they had tables with disabled signs on but everyone just ignored them. we ate out .theres a church bit were we could constantly hear singing that annoyed us which isnt mentioned when booking..pool opens at 10 with ques at 9am.sunbeds are so close no good for anyone disabled at all.there was a roof terrace you can go and sunbath but isnt the same.booked it as we thought no stag and hen dos were allowed.but there was loads of hen dos etc.the cafe bar was ok thats joined on but didnt think much to the singers.
The location is perfect for the Old Town, the rooms are clean and airy. Breakfast is varied and tasty. Only ate at the Cafe Moncho for lunch but the food was tasty and staff were great. Unfortunately, my husband had a heart attack on the 2nd day, whilst we were walking back to the hotel. The reception staff were absolutely fantastic, they arranged for me to stay on, helped with paperwork, taxis to and from hospital & each & every one of them remembered me each time I needed help. Their kindness & consideration made an awful experience that bit easier. I can't thank them enough for everything they did for me. They all deserve recognition for their help.
Two women 49 & 50. (Room 212) Fantastic location, for both the old & new town. Beach, literally a stone throw away. Cons; Que for sunbeds, pool area opens at 10am they started queuing from 9.15am. We personally found dinner too late for starting (7.30pm) Was also hit & miss and sometimes only warm and not piping hot. A few mornings there was an awful sound outside, sewer smell. Pros; I can not tell you enough that ALL staff work to a very high standard. Our rooms were cleaned daily. Dining staff greeted you at all meal times, nothing was too much bother. Comfortable beds. Powerful showers. Internet of high standard too. Breakfast, best ever, everything you could think of, buffet style.
Room; Spotless. Hairdryer. Fridge (we could fit 8 small bottles of water in there) Handsoap, liquid. Plenty of space. No iron/ironing board. 6/8 coat hangers.
Tips; Go B&B plenty of places to eat cheap or expensive. At your own convenience. Walk to the cross, not an easy walk but worth it for the views. Do early as possible or late as possible. Vist Alta, beautiful town, also has a peddled beach and only paid €2 on the bus (number 10) each way or €1.45 on the tram each way. Public transport is SO cheap & reasonably easy to use. Waterfalls, my favourite by far, I am a waterfall lover, even back home. I did half day, £21, I must add, you need water shoes, and the water is ice cold, but then it becomes just cold. I have 3 hours here.
