⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Relaxing Calpe Escape with Beautiful Sea Views
Our stay at AR Diamante Beach in Calpe was a wonderful combination of relaxation and adventure.
One of the highlights was definitely our sea-facing room. Waking up and looking out towards the Mediterranean immediately reminded us that we were on holiday. There’s something special about starting and ending the day with that view.
The hotel itself had a calm, chilled atmosphere, which we really appreciated. We noticed quite a lot of cyclists staying at the hotel, and Calpe clearly attracts people who enjoy cycling and an active holiday. It gave the hotel a nice mix of guests while still maintaining a peaceful feel.
For us, the hotel became a comfortable base for exploring. We enjoyed daily trips and tours, getting out to experience Calpe and the surrounding area, then returning to the hotel to relax afterwards. That balance made the holiday memorable — explore during the day, unwind in the evening.
What stood out was that the hotel didn’t need to feel overly busy or packed with activities. Sometimes you simply want somewhere comfortable, well located and relaxing to return to after a full day out, and AR Diamante Beach delivered exactly that.
Sea views. Daily adventures. Peaceful evenings. 🌊☀️🚴
A lovely stay in Calpe and a great choice if you want to combine exploring the Costa Blanca with a more chilled hotel experience.
Would happily recommend it. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
After staying at a lot of hotels in Spain we were looking forward to our stay here in Calpe The ride from hotel a little long on coach so would recommend private transfer The hotel is nice Great swimming pools and splash park over road for kids Nice relaxing areas to read or have a coffee Clean rooms Reception staff very helpful and accommodating Contrary to other reviews Positives Reception 10/10 Staff around pool10/10 Bar staff 10/10 Cooking staff10/10 Cleaning staff 10/10 Dining room waiting on staff 1️⃣/🔟 This spoiled our whole experience of this lovely hotel The hotel needs to change dinining room staff asap because it is run poorly. The manager👩💼 of the staff does not run or manage the team properly We were disrespected on at least 3 occasions by the staff One day our family of 6 were told we couldn't pull a table to fit our party and she said we had to move to a round table with a sleeping child Disgusting and uncaring Then in the next breath they allowed a Spanish family to do what we were not allowed Total double standards from the staff Again the next day the same I think there's a rule for Spanish and one for English based on our experience We Will not come back now based on this which is a shame Also no tea making facilities in std rooms which is very poor for a 4 star hotel Calpe itself is a fabulous area for beaches and lovely bars cafes nice old town A lovely train takes you from esmeralda hotel into main town for 5 e return Worth the ride
We received a very warm welcome, and the room furnishings and bathroom were lovely. Unfortunately, we found long hairs that didn't belong to us in the bed, in the bathroom, on the wardrobe, and on the balcony. I removed the ones from the bed and bathroom myself; housekeeping removed the ones from the balcony and wardrobe around the third day. There was still sand on the floor from the previous guest. There was no toilet brush in our room—I had to get one from housekeeping myself. It would be helpful to have a price list for the minibar displayed (I couldn't find one); the water in the room costs €8 per small bottle. It is a state-of-the-art hotel, but given the 4-star rating and the high price, I would expect a much higher standard of cleanliness.
Overall very good. Breakfast and dinner were good, and activities and the hotel was very nice. The negative points were the long waiting for the elevators and the daily cleaning needs big improvement.
This hotel was fantastic! We stayed for ten days with a four year old and one year old. We would recommend it!
Highlights for us:
We would 100% recommend this hotel!
Some points to note (other reviews mention this and I think it is fair):
The above points aren’t necessarily negatives, I just think they’re worth mentioning!
Hope this helps!
Thanks for a fabulous ten days!
