This beautiful hotel is located in Benidorm's tourist centre, only 2 km from the town centre, which is filled with boutiques, cafés, bars, restaurants and nightclubs. There are public transportation links in front of the hotel and there is an excellent golf course just 12 km away. This hotel is ideal for a fun-filled, family holiday under the warm Mediterranean sun. However, hen and stag parties are not allowed at the hotel.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Location ok, poor atmosphere like a time share if you don't no anybody ignored looked down upon snobs r us hotel, hotel all good , but can't wait to leave , made to feel very unwelcome, if you don't know any one avoid like the plague, like a stuck up time share village.
Have stayed at this hotel several times in the past and was pleased hence me booking again. Unfortunately this time was not the experience i expected whilst the rooms were clean enough the outside area and pool area were not , the tiled floor area was filthy the sun beds were filthy and the pool had a greasy yellow ish ring around the top of the water which never disappeared all week a lot of the parasols were broken and covered in bird poo. Hair etc in the drain as seen in pic. Food was a big disappointment one night out of 7 I had a meal which was the Sunday roast. My husband had chicken one night and it was still pink in the middle.
Been to Benidorm many times. Decided to stay in Ambassador in July this year. Most hotels I've stayed in in Benidorm and elsewhere allow you to choose between lunch or dinner on a daily basis when staying half board...in July this year we were not allowed a choice and had to stick with either lunch or dinner for the whole week....not ideal.
Wow, what a fantastic time. Arrived at reception and greeted by a very polite man, who informed us we had been upgraded. The room had 2 bedrooms and was spotless, very modern with all mod cons. Balcony overlooked the two large pools and all the bars on the strip (no noise at night). Entertainment was fantastic, Michael Jackson (brilliant) Adele, eldivo too name a few all excellent. Food was great every morning n night. Drinks we extremely cheap. All in all what a fantastic time. Will defo be going back. Thanks to everyone.
My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at the Ambassador Playa 1. This was my first trip to Benidorm, and I completely fell in love with the place!
Before going, you hear so much about the strip, but Benidorm is so much more than that. The beaches are absolutely beautiful and spotlessly clean. The atmosphere everywhere feels so safe and family friendly you’ll see families strolling along the promenade at midnight and people happily swimming in the sea at 10:00 PM.
The hotel itself is in a brilliant location right at the start of all the bars, but our room was wonderfully quiet at night. You can sit out on your balcony in the evening, enjoy the hotel's entertainment, and watch the world go by. The overall vibe was warm and welcoming, and even the other guests were lovely we ended up chatting with so many great people right in the pool!
We absolutely loved all the tribute acts! During the day, we’d sit around the pool, pull up the "What's On in Benidorm" guide online, and plan out our night hopping from one bar to the next.
Talk of the Town, which is literally right across the road, was a personal favorite. Western Saloon is right next door, and we watched an incredible Liam Gallagher tribute act there. Morgan's Bar and Sinatra's were also brilliant spots. Benidorm Tom (tom jones ) is amazing I was convinced it was the real Tom Jones he looks the same ! Pink was fantastic too! There are just so many high-quality tribute acts on, and it was honestly so much fun.
My husband is extremely fussy with food, so we normally never eat at the hotel. Since we booked half board, we thought we’d give it a go, and we loved it so much that we only ate out once! The variety was fantastic every day with amazing salad options, fresh fruit, delicious desserts, and different main meals. There was genuinely something for everyone. The hotel is gorgeous and spotlessly clean, with daily maid service and fresh towels. We had our Room cleaned nearly everyday apart from the days we didn’t need it doing and stayed in bed a bit longer !
All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We also tried the spa twice during our stay, which was €18 per person and well worth it for the Jacuzzi beds, cold plunge, steam room, and sauna. Around the pool, sunbeds do fill up quickly when it opens at 8:30 AM, but even when coming down later, we always managed to find spare beds to pull together.
For a bonus tip, if you head into the Old Town, go past the Ale-Hop store and up the hill to Tapas Square. We found a spot offering six tapas and a jug of sangria for €10, which was amazing value.
We didn't book a pool view room, but from where our room was located, we could actually look out and see the pool of a neighboring hotel, which was fine for us! Still, next time we will definitely upgrade to a direct view of our own hotel pool. We had such an amazing holiday and will 100% be returning. I couldn't recommend this hotel enough!
