Terrible, terrible terrible …
Hello, sharing my honest review of the Agua Azul. Check in was fine & the receptionist Angela was extremely polite and helpful. Our room was located on level 5. We arrived late in the eve. Corridors are dirty & dull, Our room was so disappointing, the grey depressing walls, the chipboard head rest, the wardrobes made out of the cheapest MDF wood, absolutely no draws & bed side cabinets are just hollow side spaces, no art on the wall. The toilet does not have a door only a frosted sliding panel & NO door on the shower. Tiles are dangerously slippery when wet, no shower mat provided. Kettle is old & dirty, the room is how I imagined a hostel would look like. There is NO privacy & the toilet situation is highly embarrassing - as no sound barrier. The walls are paper thin, you can hear next door plugging in electronics, hear conversations & even when they hit light switches - every little movement you can hear. The tiny sink situated next to the bed is unsightly & again no storage, just a metal stand which is useless. The glass panel is very dangerous & in the dark you will walk into it. We spoke to some people who had bruises & cuts. It’s a heath hazard. Our view was also depressing - a car park at the back for delivery’s so yes you head traffic noise. It the worst room we have ever ever stayed in.
The restaurant is ok & we found the food hot & the beef stews tasty - not a mega selection but always something - desserts were good. Please note there is no waitress service - you have to go to the bar if you want a drink .. you can imagine the ques .. no waitresses can be seen hardly anyways tbh & plates are all stacked on people’s tables .. also lots of people complaining of sickness & dioreah in the hotel.
The bar area is unpleasant , and certain staff members do NOT want to serve & will IGNORE you. MARIA - got told by my mum for being SO rude, after being ignored by Maria for 3 days & blatantly blanked by her. Not a nice experience & her thinking she could treat us so badly, luckily we didn’t see her again (hopefully she got removed as we had to report her actions to reception) absolutely vile customer service & hopefully she’s been sacked. This is NOT what you want when ordering a drink, a really toxic woman & I’m glad we didn’t let her get away with treating us so wrong.
The entertainment room is again depressing with no pictures on walls - just another holding room with no warm welcome, the entertainment guy was so lovely tho & always happy and smiling- well done to him!
The clientele is in my eyes is an eye opener, some men turning up to lunch with no shirts on with a beer in each hand, shouting from across tables - arguments amongst people at night & glasses falling on floors. This hotel is 90 per cent English brexit types who love a full English & a beer.
We come to Benidorm a lot & have been over 20 years and this is definitely the worse hotel we’ve stayed in, I can only see people staying here if they want the alcohol otherwise why would you stay? It’s honestly not a nice experience & I would not recommend or return.
Hostel vibes & definitely no way a 4 star!! It’s a Blackpool bed sit in the sun. Never again & so happy to be home!

Love this hotel
We love this hotel, went for the moors & christian festival 30th sept for a week, and asked for a park view, we were not disappointed, rm 519 brill view of the park and the festivities, ty.
We were aware of recent reviews about d&s so made sure we sanitized regular, sanitiser on the bar right next to where you scan ure wristband, unfortunately it was invisible to many guests.
Food was excellent as usual, plenty of variety, snack bar open daily too for those that liked pizza, burger etc.
Watched most of the entertainment from outside by the pool, as weather was good, seemed to be a little bit better than last time we came.
Room was cleaned for our arrival, smelt lovely, bedding was fresh. Plenty of towels, blankets in the cupboard and spare pillows. Maid service ever day if you require it.
Staff were pleasant and polite, drinks at the bar were superb!
Coming back for 2wks at christmas park view again pls 😁

Our experience on our all inclusive in October....Great location adjacent to the old town. Food and drinks excellent. Staff were really good, friendly and efficent. Rooms were comfortable and clean although beware the glass partition in the dark when nipping to the loo at nightime. All in all we really enjoyed it and considering the price we paid the Agua Azul is great value for money. I was slightly concerned reading some of the earlier poor reviews and can state that this was'nt our experience at all and wouldnt hesitate to book again.

Mixed feelings!
Lovely clean hotel. Beds comfy. Daytime entertainment a bit poor. Felt like a Warners holiday in Spain. All inclusive had something for us everyday.

A great value hotel
Enjoyed another visit to Agua Azul.Staff friendly and welcoming.Pila and her team work so hard and are approachable if you have any needs.Maria and her colleagues always friendly despite long days and sometimes having to put up with people who leave their manners back in the uk.Cleaners do a great job .Food very good and variety available.The availability of breakfast till 10.30am is welcome. Re accommodation- some people don't like the glass panel in the bedroom.we used plastic sucker hooks and hung towels on them so the screen is visible in the dark .Tea and coffee is topped up daily .Personally I would prefer a proper cup in the bedroom rather than paper so we take our own.But I think people would prefer a pot cup and in a 4 star its generally expected. Towels changed daily and sheets a few times during our stay of 9 nights .No issues with sun beds while we visited.Entertainment we saw was enjoyable eg.pablo bloom and boney m tribute.We like the location , size of hotel, service and friendly staff .Thanks
