The Cliff Bay
The hotel was excellent. Unfortunately there was building works happening during our stay which spoilt our stay due to noise. We were eventually told to remain away from our room from 1-6pm. We were off a lunch voucher for only two days disruption but were disturbed for more than this. Food was brilliant apart from the picnic which was poor and quite expensive. We complained and it was removed from our bill. Room staff were excellent cleaning twice a day. The hotel was in a perfect location with great staff
Terrible building noise
Building noise was most days and went on for a long time. It would have been better to shut the hotel until completed. It ruined our peace and quiet and spoilt the holiday.

First class stay - highly recommend
3 week stay enjoyed in a brilliant hotel. Location and quality are all faultless. Great overall value for money, whilst it’s not cheap what you receive is first class in every regard. Location with its own sea access is superb and adds a special dimension if you prefer sea swimming to using swimming pool. Gorgeous Spa & gardens to enjoy too.

First time in Madeira. Loved the hotel. Only improvements would be more variety at breakfast and avocados. Maybe better quality bacon, eggs benedict etc. Also better and more music - with such great views I think you could use balleric style sunset vibes rather than 50 year old pop songs
