A Wonderful Stay – We’ll Definitely Return
We stayed at Quinta Funchal Gardens while attending a conference in Madeira, and it turned out to be a wonderful place to stay.
The service throughout our visit was excellent. The hotel was exceptionally clean, and what really stood out were the staff, who were genuinely friendly, helpful and welcoming. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble.
Breakfast was a particular highlight. The food was of a really good quality, with plenty to enjoy, and having a pianist playing during breakfast created such a lovely, relaxed atmosphere.
The location worked perfectly for us. It’s away from the busy centre of Funchal, which makes it ideal if you want somewhere peaceful to relax and switch off, while the centre is still only a short taxi ride away. The views from the hotel are also fantastic.
A lovely hotel, great service and a very relaxing stay. We would happily recommend Quinta Funchal Gardens and will definitely be booking again when we return to Madeira.

Great hotel with impeccable service
We had a very luxurious stay here and nothing was ever too much trouble for the staff. The piano during breakfast was the crème de la crème!

The kind of accommodation you dream of!
Beautiful hotel surroundings, comfortable and well-kept rooms, friendly and helpful staff (I recommend renting a car through the hotel), and a delicious, varied, and abundant breakfast! The breakfast experience is enhanced by a stunning view from the balcony and an excellent pianist - we could have listened to him all day! We were delighted by the eagle that "kept an eye" on the pigeons during breakfast, making sure they didn't hop onto the tables. Our room was ready upon arrival, even though we arrived a few hours early, and we even received a traditional Madeiran Bolo de mel as a welcome gift. We would also like to give special praise to the waitress Karolina (I hope we remembered her name correctly), who served us at dinner and was very friendly and entertaining. We will definitely be back, as the accommodation exceeded all our expectations!
My hotel stay
My stay was enjoyable thanks to the attentive and welcoming staff, who consistently delivered a high standard of service. The Executive Room was comfortable and provided everything needed for a relaxing visit. While the hotel has many strengths, it is showing signs of age in places. Replacing older carpets and adding convenient charging ports or USB outlets in the rooms would significantly enhance the guest experience. With these updates, the hotel would be even more appealing
