Room upgrades are available at a supplement, including suites with additional space and enhanced amenities.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
I waited a whole year to stay at the Tivoli Hotel and when I finally arrived I was relieved, excited and absolutely delighted.
The reason? A year earlier I had travelled all the way from South Africa, via Doha and Gatwick, and was sitting in the departure lounge at Gatwick about to board my flight, when I realised I had my boarding pass but couldn't find my passport! To cut a long story short, I was stranded at the airport not able to fly continue my journey. It was a rather traumatic experience and I had no choice butt to return home to South Africa.
I resolved I would make it to the Tivoli Hotel one way or the other - and one year later, I finally did!!!
II'm so pleased to say it was worth the wait. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are spacious with enormous wonderfully comfortable beds, and the amenities are excellent. What really stood out, though, were the staff. Every member of the team was warm, welcoming and incredibly hard working, especially considering the extreme summer heat.
One of the highlight's of my stay was finally meeting the Customer Relations Manager, Inez (apologies if I've remembered your name incorrectly) who had been the person helping me during my passport ordeal the previous year. I had wanted to thank her in person for the kindness, understanding and compassion she showed me at this stressful time. I'll always be grateful for that!
We thoroughly enjoyed the food throughout our stay, particularly at Pepper Grill, where we had some truly outstanding cocktails! I also looked forward to the delicious soups served at Oregano at lunch times!
The hotel is perfectly situated in a charming little town making it easy to wander out for some shopping, a drink or a meal at one of the many restaurants nearby. The whole town had a wonderful atmosphere, made even more enjoyable by the excitement of the FIFA World Cp being on while we were there.
During our week-long stay we were made to feel genuinely special, and I become surprisingly fond of both the hotel and the town. I sincerely hope we'll have the opportunity to return one day.
As for my missing passport, I still have no idea what became of it. The lesson I learnt was to never place my passport loose in the airport security tray but to keep it tucked inside a bag!
We had an incredible stay and would highly recommend this hotel to families. The facilities are fantastic, there’s so much to do, and we enjoyed every second of our holiday.
A special thank you to Sarwar, who looked after us by the pool throughout our stay. He was always welcoming, friendly, and attentive, and his warm hospitality really made our experience even more enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble, and he always greeted us with a smile.
The amazing facilities combined with the genuinely helpful staff made this a memorable holiday. Thank you to Sarwar for going above and beyond - we hope to see you again!
Fabulous 7 nights , definitely lived up to its 5 star status, perfect location , food and view from our 9th floor sea view room.
Will definitely return.
Filipe who works front of hotel was very kind , courteous and extremely helpful. Always made a point to say hello and offered to help with anything we needed. Helped me get transportation and offered wonderful restaurants for us to go to, specifically dining where the locals eat . I must say his recommendations were spot on. The front desk staff were very attentive and friendly. Housekeeping was spectacular. Pool staff specifically Wilker was phenomenal. The only negative was our room card which for some reason kept malfunctioning Highly recommend this hotel.
