Unacceptable hygiene conditions and poor handling of the situation
We stayed here from 2nd to 9th July 2026. At check-in, the room upgrade became a negotiation, and we eventually felt we had no choice but to pay for the upgraded room we were offered. Unfortunately, we were placed in Room 226, where we experienced a severe ant infestation. We have videos showing ants crawling into our child's bed while he was sleeping. Despite reporting the problem several times, we remained in the same room for four nights before finally being moved. After housekeeping serviced our room, we also found suspicious stains on the bed sheets that raised serious hygiene concerns. Travelling with a young child, this was extremely stressful. We repeatedly asked to speak with the hotel manager but were never given the opportunity. We have photographs, videos and receipts documenting our experience and have submitted a formal complaint. I would not recommend this hotel, especially for families with children.
Good 3 star hotel
We stayed for 2 nights as it was near to a friends wedding venue. This is a good 3 star hotel and I feel some of the oyher reviews for this hotel are unfair and unjustified. Our room was a good size, clean and comfortable, with good air conditioning. We had a small terrace outside with a table and a couple of chairs. The pool area was generally nice and there was plenty of shade under the umbrellas and up on the grassy area behind. The outdoor furniture was basic but generally comfortable. Breakfast is included, which makes this accommodation good value for money. The breakfast is basic but does provide hot and cold options. There is also a coffee machine. Our advice is to have breakfast as early as possible as there was more choice and the food was fresher. We didn't eat dinner in the hotel but there were plenty of options around 5 minutes drive away. The majority the staff were friendly and helpful.
Improvements:
- some of the sunbeds could do with replacing (lots are warped in the middle which can make it difficult to get up and down from them)
- pine needles need to be cleared more regularly from the pool
- if breakfast could be extended to 10.30 or 11am at weekends, a 10am finish feels quite early.

The hotel was spotless, relaxing, and the atmosphere was lovely. Our room was very big and spacious and beautifully cleaned each day. We are a family of 3 ( 17 yr teenager. She had a spacious area of her own ( curtain separating the space) in the room. A nice breakfast included in price.
Great location with nice grounds and pool area. Very quiet at night. Very easy to go up and down to beach via Uber. Lidl is a 10 min walk from hotel.
The reception girls Bela, Marganda, Vera, and Ana were all incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help with a smile as were all the staff. Great value for money.
We would happily return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Portugal! Joan, Ireland 💚
EasyJet don’t send your cancelled customers there
Went early but tripadvisor won’t let me put date anyway easyJet dumped us there after flight cancelled, Jesus it was back to the 80s ,basic would be being kind , grim sad , out of town , didn’t feel safe if honest just odd with barking dogs and noise In the hall , if on a very tight budget maybe ok but not for me
Positive few days!
Lovely hotel, quiet location but uber is £3 to town and there’s a free shuttle bus a couple of times a day. Out of season so the hotel is so quiet! We barely see another guest. Hotel - rooms are clean, spacious and well stocked. Our room 124 was a trek but it’s fine! Shower was powerful and hot! Food- not a huge selection but you won’t starve! Nice and hot etc and regularly restocked. Bar- drinks are good. Excellent choices of branded drinks and not too badly priced. Bar area- lots of seats, pool table, board games, sports on tv etc. Staff- very kind and accommodating. Location - like I said earlier, it’s not within walking distance to much but uber are so quick and cheap. I recommend marina vilamoura and the shopping outlet village! Pools- very clean but didn’t use them.
