This spectacular located hotel can be found on the beach front, along the sandy Meia Praia beach, Faro Airport is less than an hour's drive from the hotel. Guests are welcomed by kind staff who offers the best service. For guests joy, there are different spaces where whole family can get fun: children's playground and club, spa and fitness centre for the health lovers, pub and a restaurant. For business travellers, there is a convention centre, and Internet access is available. Different services as laundry, car park, and garage are also available to hire. The decoration was inspired by Portuguese fashion and was designed by renowned stylists. Guests can enjoy the very nice and modern designed rooms, with comfort forniture and cozy style.

Excellent holiday with the family
We have had a week staying half board and this hotel has exceeded all expectations. We stayed with our 2 children. Location is excellent just 5 minute walk to the beautiful beach and 10 minute Uber to Lagos. Breakfast has a great variety to suit everyone and each evening meal is themed. Some of the reviews stated that the food is not warm. However, breakfast and dinner have a 3 hour window to dine so if you come later then some of the food out will cool but it’s all fresh. Gym and indoor pool excellent. Outdoor pool is huge which the children loved. Good value for money. Our case got lost at the Airport and a huge thank you to Ines on reception for helping us! I would highly recommend!
Old worn out sunbeds and parasols
Having stayed many times at the Vila Gale over the last 13 years this was our first visit back after 4 years. The upgraded rooms are very nice, the daily cleaning cannot be faulted and all the cleaners are very friendly and helpful and we always leave a good tip. All the staff cannot do enough to help. Our main concern was the pool area, the sunbeds which you have to admit are over 10 years old that we now about, they are sagging when you sit on them because they have been stretched that much, i had to search to find a good one every day as some of them are broken underneath and you don't realise till you sit on them, then you have to find a good one. Since our last visit the parasols have been bolted to the floor, many people as ourselves will move the parasol around with the sun, you cannot do this if they are bolted down and most of the ones we used had holes in them, if you try to move the sunbeds to follow the sun we found at one point our sunbeds were on the edge of the pool. You have a policy saying that if sunbeds are left unattended for more than 45 minutes then towels will be removed. My wife and i watched 4 days running 3 different families left towels on beds at 08:30am and the earliest any of them came back was 11:30am, you could see them all walk out of the back gate and weren't the least bothered, and when they came back just sat on them without giving a thought for anyone who could not find a bed to sit on. Please sort some new sunbeds and release the parasols. The canopies you have put around the edge of the pool are very nice, but unless you get there before 8am you will have no chance of getting one. We may return again next year but at the moment i doubt we will.

Lovely hotel. Staff not so much
We are staying here at the moment. The hotel itself if wonderful. Very well kept, clean and good location. Same cant be said for the service. When we arrived, it took us almost an hour to check in, we have 2 small children with us who were understandably getting very frustrated. All the staff are very distracted. Rooms are lovely though. We have been to reception numerous times to request more tea and coffee for the room, over 24 hours later we still have none. Getting a drink at the pool bar takes ages, again, there aren't enough staff and the staff that are there are all distracted and chatting to each other. The main bar in the hotel is exactly the same, waited 45 mins for 3 drinks. There are no where near enough staff working here at all. Evening food is lovely, lots of selection and very tasty.
Would not go back
This hotel is a 25 minute walk from Lagos shops and restaurants which is hard going in the heat. If you are not all inclusive there are no shops nearby for water or snacks etc. There is a local hourly bus service but this is not reliable and we found that at the weekend sometimes the bus just did not turn up. The pool was lovely and no problem getting a sunbed. The rooms are badly sound proofed and you can hear everything so woken at 7:00 each morning with a crying baby and all the noise that goes on to organise a child. Noisy children and parents in the corridor of different families that are going for breakfast at 7:30 in the morning. Phoned reception as glass bottle dropped in room and glass everywhere, I was told to hold even before I could say why I was calling. Sat for over 15 minutes waiting on someone coming back to the phone, eventually gave up a went to reception to get assistance. Rooms are sometimes not cleaned until 3 in the afternoon, so don’t plan an afternoon siesta. Lagos was a lovely and would go back but not to this hotel.

BRILLIANT STAY
Had a perfect week. Immaculate room with sea view. Clean towels every day. Spent most days at the beautiful pool. The addition of an entertainment team was an added bonus, loved the aqua aerobics/gym. Also enjoyed music at the pool. The pool bar was very welcoming. Lot of variety at breakfast buffet. There is a lovely beach across the road and a lovely walk along the boardwalk. Yes it is a walk to the marina and the town but taxis were very reasonable to bring us home!!
