Poor Service Bad Experience
I rarely leave negative reviews, but after paying nearly $600/night and flying from Canada with my family, I feel others should know what to expect. The biggest issue started at check-in. We were told the hotel had a system outage and could not provide room keys. We were promised it would be fixed within 12 hours. Four nights later, it was never resolved. Every time we needed access to our room, we had to find a staff member to escort us. As occupancy increased, waits became longer. There was no communication, no updates, and no apology. I contacted the hotel through Expedia Messenger on August 15 and by email. I was promised a response but never received one. Aside from the location, this is not a 4-star experience. Breakfast pastries were not fresh, coffee came from machines and tasted poor, and there was no fresh brewed coffee. The pool area was dirty, with bird droppings on sunbeds and tables every morning. We often had to clean them ourselves. The pool also had debris and Band-Aids floating in it. We booked a Premium Suite with Pool View. The master bedroom was beside the corridor, making it extremely noisy at night and early morning. The room lacked basic amenities such as tissue boxes and hooks for jackets. On one occasion, three towels delivered to our room were dirty. Staff training was inconsistent. A bartender named Diago was particularly rude and unhelpful. When I asked for a wine opener, he lectured me about bringing wine purchased outside the hotel. Later, when I ordered pizza for my children, he informed me that only cash was accepted and offered no assistance, leaving us without the meal. Overall, poor cleanliness, poor communication, poor service, and no follow-up to complaints. Definitely not worth the price and not deserving of its 4-star rating.

Could be better
The location is good as a short walk into the town. Rooms are very basic and clean. Beds are uncomfortable. The pool area is ok but is not very well looked after and needs some maintenance. The beds under the trees have bird poo and ants over them. Some staff are friendly and helpful but some just stand around doing nothing. There is just one restaurant by the pool which serves all the meals. The tables are sticky and there isn’t enough for breakfast. The restaurant inside is not used. The room only gets cleaned about 5pm. Our key card didn’t work for 3 days on arrival had to be escorted to room every time. Overall ok but feels like more could have been done to make the hotel much better. Feels like was once nice but now the staff are not bothered.

Disappointing stay – noisy, tired and chaotic
We are currently guests at this hotel and, if moving elsewhere were a practical option at this stage of our holiday, we would do so.
There is plenty we could add about the poor condition, lack of maintenance and generally tired state of the property. However, numerous other reviews have already described these shortcomings in considerable detail, and unfortunately our experience largely reflects what those reviewers have reported. Instead, I will concentrate on the breakfast experience, which perhaps sums up the hotel best.
This is simply not the breakfast we would expect from a four-star hotel. The buffet is crammed into an area that is plainly inadequate for the number of guests, resulting in something closer to a food stampede in a secondary-school canteen than a relaxing hotel breakfast.
Numerous buffet trays were empty, while much of the food that remained looked distinctly unappealing. Items intended to be served hot were merely lukewarm, the pastries lacked freshness, and the overall presentation did little to encourage you to eat.
The dining room was equally poorly managed. Tables remained dirty and uncleared, there appeared to be no meaningful waiter service, and finding a clean, properly prepared table was unnecessarily difficult. There seemed to be nobody maintaining order, clearing tables promptly or ensuring that the buffet was properly replenished.
August is inevitably a busy period, but high occupancy does not excuse insufficient staffing, poor organisation or food being presented and maintained to this standard. A hotel breakfast should be an enjoyable and civilised start to the day. Here it felt overcrowded, chaotic and neglected.
Whatever the hotel’s official star rating, the breakfast experience is emphatically not that of a four-star hotel.

Basic and a bit tatty - not 4 star
This a rated 4 star but isn’t. We booked a premium 1 bed suite which is clean but basic. No glasses, tea or coffee, iron or ironing board. There’s combined hair and shower gel which is always too harsh for hair. The plinth under the wardrobe has fallen off.
The pool area is not in a good state, with broken wooden paths and generally tatty. Breakfast was a free for all with no table settings, a kin to a scrum. Didn’t bother trying the food as it looked so unappetising and it wasn’t worth the effort. The other thing to note is that the pool music was over 80 decibels from our 4th floor balcony which was in bearable. We complained twice before the sound was turned down (a bit). If you’re looking for a disco vibe in a basic hotel & not interested in breakfast, this is the place for you. If not, steer clear!

Staff need training
Booked premium room with pool view. There was no view asked to change room could not for two nights. New room much better, unfortunately there had been a power cut and the new key card couldn't be programmed so staff had to escorted us to our room every time, which was really frustrating sometimes had to wait for staff to be available to open our room door. No soap in public toilets did reported a few times still nothing done. Decking around the hotel needs attention very loose under foot.. litter left around the pool area and bins very full. Some staff at pool bar not friendly. Breakfast staff no team leader to guide staff on how to do their jobs. Customer service not great..
