place itslef is an absolute s***holee but perfect for a lads/girls holiday, it’s right on the strip and very noisy till early hours of the morning, I would not book this for families or couples, but other than that it was pleasent enough for what was needed, I am going to add that the staff are rude and have no manners whatsoever, overall I’d give this hotel/experience a 8/10

We stayed at Soldoiro Apartments with a group of five, across two apartments, and our experience was extremely mixed. In my opinion, this is a hotel where your experience will depend heavily on which room you are given, you could have a genuinely great stay, or end up in a room that is very difficult to recommend.

Our first room was a small studio on the lowest floor, essentially right beside the street. It had a physical key rather than a key card, and being directly at street level meant it could be very noisy late at night. Coming back around 3–4am, there were still plenty of people walking past, and on one occasion people were even tapping on the windows. The room itself was small but manageable, although the bathroom was a serious issue. The handle on the bathroom door was literally hanging off, and once the door was closed from the inside, it could not be opened from the inside. You had to get someone outside to open it for you. There were also stains on some of the mattresses and pillows, and one night we found ants in the bed and throughout the apartment. This room was by far the worst part of our stay.

Our second room, however, was a completely different experience. It was a large one-bedroom apartment on a higher floor, directly above reception, with a sea view. It had two comfortable beds in the bedroom and a sofa bed in the living area. Everything was generally clean, the bathroom was lovely, and the apartment had a huge balcony with a really nice view of the sea. There were a few stains on some of the sofa cushions, but otherwise we had very few complaints. The room was cleaned twice during our stay and the towels were also changed twice.

The location is probably one of the hotel's biggest advantages. You're around a two-minute walk from the beach, the strip and nearby shops, making it extremely convenient for a holiday in Albufeira. Of course, being so close to the strip means it can be noisy at night, particularly if you're on a lower floor.

The staff were also excellent. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and helpful. One particularly useful service is that you can leave your room key at reception when going out, meaning you don't have to worry about losing it while you're on the strip or at the beach. Reception is open 24 hours, which is also very convenient for anyone coming back late at night.

There is a €100 deposit per person, but we had absolutely no problems getting ours back. Based on our experience, I would say that if you're respectful, don't damage the room and aren't excessively disruptive, the deposit shouldn't be an issue.

Overall, I'd give the hotel 3/5. The location, staff, reception service and our second apartment were all excellent, but the condition of the first room, particularly the bathroom door, cleanliness issues and ants was simply not good enough. I would stay here again, but I would definitely want to know what type of room I was getting beforehand. If you get one of the better higher-floor apartments, you could have a fantastic stay. If you get one of the lower floor studios, your experience could be very different.

Very good location to beach shops bars etc but broken glass around the pool from parties only one person serving in pool bar and reception so waited ages on drinks etc we wanted food but was told there were only 2 frozen meat pizzas and nuggets so being a vegetarian I grabbed a roll in the local shop to be shouted at that I can't eat my food near pool as wasn't purchased there very aggressive blonde haired girl both pool were filthy dirty 1 umbrella to do all the deck chairs not family orientated at all mostly for youngerters partying a girl was actually vommiting in the waste bin at the pool couldn't even get a coffee as was told 2 days in a row all milk was used at breakfast reception girl was very helpful giving us directions and booking taxis etc if your looking for cheap and a party place it would suit
