enjoyed brilliant staff
we stayed in portugal for the 3rd time in albufeira it was a nice location not to near the strip and the old town but not to far to go in it was around 10 minuets in a taxi which the hotel sorted we left the hotel for one night and ate there for the 5 remaining night we ate the in the main buffet restaurant twice and the themes were italian and brazilian which were lovely we ate in giovannis which we really enjoyed and in the bougainvillea which we loved. the rooms was cleaned twice while we was there you have clean bedding once during our one week stay which was okay and average but only clean towels twice so recommend taking extra towels but if you ring down in reception they will give you more towels rooms aren’t cleaned everyday ours was cleaned once the rest we had to ring down to reception but apart from that if you ring reception for anything then they do help you staff are very helpful and can’t do enough for you there was one bait maid in the bougainvillea with blonde hair and she was absolutely amazing and couldn’t do enough for you we enjoyed our stay.

Great holiday
We have stayed in the aparthotel before this time we stayed in the village !!! Everything is absolutely ideal for traveling with a child (6). Didn’t leave the hotel/complex once entertainment every night in one of the complex’s by bellux (Nuno, joana & leo where absolutely fantastic hosts every evening and by the pool every day) Restaurants perfect , pool bar ideal apartment spacious!! Mini market on site… BOOKING AGAIN FOR NEXT YEAR
Better every year!
We have been returning guests at Alfagar since we first visited in 2014 and we have continued to enjoy family holidays at the resort as our children have grown into young adults. We choose to return to Alfagar due to the cleanliness, facilities and friendly and welcoming staff- particularly at the Bouganvilla Bar- and the resort remains our favourite family holiday destination. We visited again this year and in addition to enjoying the facilities and staff, as always, the highlight of our holiday was the morning yoga and stretch class with Nuno Muchado from the Bellux Entertainment team. Nuno is a very experienced and knowledgeable yoga teacher who tailored his well-structured and thoroughly enjoyable yoga class to ensure it was suitably challenging yet relaxing and was inclusive for participants at all levels. We did not miss a session in 10 days- it was the perfect start to our morning 😊Thank you Nuno- we look forward to seeing you for yoga practice next year 🙏 We were delighted to see that there is ongoing reinvestment to upgrade the accommodation and facilities- in particular the ongoing refurbishment of the Village accommodation. We enjoyed yet another wonderful holiday at Alfagar and we look forward to many more!

Great family holiday
We hesitated about booking this hotel due to its rating on other sites however so glad we decided to book here. The location is perfect and we reached Albufeira old town and Vilamoura most nights without any issues. If you wanted to stay in the hotel on an evening he restaurants are lovely and the food was fantastic. During the day the 15 pools, location o n the beach and other things here for the children such as football pitch and slides kept them entertained. All of the staff are so polite and helped us to feel welcome. A complete hidden gem and would definitely return.
Great first visit to Albufeira
We stayed for 10 days in September 2026, in the Village. One bedroom apartment was fantastic- loads of space, great big terrace/balcony. Apartment could do with a little upgrade but certainly didn’t take away the comfort. The grounds of the hotel and apartments are amazing, so well maintained. We used the Bouganvilla restaurant for lunch and drinks, great value and choice. Plenty of choices of pools, we managed to find one that wasn’t crowded and not as many children! Worked perfectly for us!! Both mini markets are good with the larger one across the road having good pastries for breakfast. There are two beaches nearby, on the right you can access by steps down from the hotel. Beach to the left can be accessed by coming out of the hotel and turning right, along the road and right by Club Med - approx 10 minutes walk - lovely big beach. Hotel staff are all friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend to couples and families.
