Lovely hotel - clean, well maintained and great daily room tidying. Friendly staff. Lovely pool area, ideal for children. Good breakfast, but cooked breakfast slightly limited. Great continental breakfast though..beautiful freshly made pastries and always laid out nicely. Nearest beach is ok..be prepared for a steep walk down back up! Local restaurants weren’t great..other than the local Chinese..all you can eat fab! And you get to order on a tablet! Be aware of lively hotel next door that plays reasonably loud music from 1030am to around 7pm. Nightclub bang opposite!!! And is open till 5am…every morning! All pool facing rooms will most definitely hear the music! The “strip” is far enough away to not be a bother
Lovely hotel, rooms so spacious and cleaned every day. No problem with sunbeds only one person put towels down every morning although there were plenty even at 11am. There is a nightclub across the road but never kept us awake. Only downside for us was our beds were quite uncomfortable and my husband slept most nights on the pull out bed but still came home with a sore back, if it wasn’t for that we would definitely come back
Second time staying at this hotel. Extremely clean and spacious apartments with everything you need. Great location and yes there is a nightclub opposite but only heard once during our week stay but didn’t keep me awake, maybe different high season. There is a vibe hotel next door so if you’re lying by the pool expect noise but it was younger folk enjoying themselves, it’s quiet after 7pm. If you want peace at night ask for front of hotel not pool facing. There were some inconsiderate guests who came in later and banged doors and as it’s a small hotel the noise travels but you get that in most places. Sun-beds weren’t a problem there are signs that say don’t reserve although a couple of people still thought they should but always some spare. We were self catering so didn’t use facilities, lovely cafe up the road towards the strip, €6.80 breakfast we went most mornings. Some great local restaurants, Donaldo’s, Golden Garden Chinese and Coopers on the strip do lovely food too. The strip is close by or an Uber was €3.80 to the old town or €4.50 to the marina. We will stay at this hotel again.
I have just returned from a weeks stay at the Areias Village Hotel. I originally stayed on the 3rd floor however, on the first night there was a problem with ants so I was offered to stay in another room on the 2nd floor. This room was nice and cleaned every day. The room has a microwave, toaster and fridge as well as a welcome bottle of wine. All staff were polite in particular the reception staff who were always on hand to answer any questions. The hotel is not far from new town but half an hour walk to old town. Ubers are very cheap from the hotel to old town if you don't fancy the walk. There is a supermarket across the road however, the Lidal is 15 minutes walk. I didn't hear the night club and slept well during my stay. I would stay again at this hotel.
Great hotel, visited before and still as good. Room huge and had everything you needed. The added addition of bottle of wine on arrival was a great touch. Room cleaned daily with fresh towels. Front desk on arrival very polite and welcoming, you can't get into your room until 3pm but wasn't a problem as places available to leave your bag and get changed if required. Hotel close to new town and other amenities café shop etc. UBERS very cheap to old town and Marina less than £4. Night club over the road but never heard it during stay, hotel next noisy during the day but not a problem, people just enjoying holiday. Only negative, pool bar shut early and opened late, would be nice to sit in sun with coffee or juice first thing but no staff available
