Best location in Valletta
Best hotel location in Valletta , if you want to be able to walk to the centre of Valletta AND have access to swim in the sea directly from your hotel , I believe this is the only hotel for you. A classic traditional 5* hotel , old fashioned opulence , helpful staff , grand reception , free shuttle bus to the ‘top of the hill’ although this is only a 5 minute walk for the mobile anyway and a lovely pool with a stunning view of the water Rooms large comfy but dated , the usual dark wood and orange tiles but good air con and we had a balcony overlooking the pool so all good It is due to be closed and refurbished this year I believe so book now for great VFM as sure it will be more expensive when reopened

Nice hotel, great location.
Very nice hotel but decor is a bit tired in places. Pool steps were slippy and there was no lifeguard on duty. Staff were very friendly and attended to our faulty safe within minutes. View was amazing from our room and location close to city centre but also on the harbour front. We had a late flight but were unable to keep the room which was disappointing, even though we were happy to pay.

The best hotel I have been to in Malta
As soon as we arrived we knew this was going to be special just from the entrance,Room we stayed in was lovely and big,nice balcony,superb pool area and the sea with private beach so you get a sea breeze and watch the boats. The service was superb,breakfast so much choice. A very short walk to Valetta main at but a great shuttle service there if required. We will come again after your have done the refurbishment. The reception staff,the breakfast staff,the pool staff,the room cleaners,the porter,the shuttle driver absolutely amazing. Be very proud.x

Not five star
Hotel decor tired and in desperate need of an update which I believe is coming soon. Pool was luke warm, so not great to cool down in. Environment continually interrupted by local petards exploding which echo around and constantly make you jump (from 8am to 11-midnight). No ear plugs available. I had a birthday during my stay, which I mentioned but it went unacknowledged - but my neighbour received cake and wine for his! A simple acknowledgment would have been a nice touch. We were overcharged in the bar (others said this too) and it took some convincing for them to eventually offer us both another drink by way of apology - even after producing our receipt clearing showing the overcharge. Rooms kept clean and tidy and the breakfast excellent. Finally the shuttle bus kicks you out in the middle of the busy road and has no baby seat - all of which is dangerous. A five star hotel? No. A warm welcome and a kick out of the door when you’re done was our experience!
Great location
Great stay, great location for Valletta City. Courtesy bus (max 8 per trip) was a real help as the hill up to Triton Fountain was pretty steep, but do-able. My good lady forgot some gifts and a Reiss cardi when we left but the Concierge managed to get his driver to drop it at the airport for us!! Very well done (Billy??? sorry didn’t catch it) and greatly appreciated. Staff were superb, pool brilliant. Good and drinks a bit pricy but I guess it is a 5* hotel.
