Once a suburb of Valletta, Sliema has developed into a bustling and fashionable resort with many hotels and restaurants, smart shops and places of entertainment.
The waterfront along Sliema Creek is known as The Strand and is a popular area with tourists. Tower Road, which bisects the Sliema promontory from The Strand to the open sea, offers excellent shopping and then leads on to St Julian's Point. The resort offers good swimming opportunities along the flat rocky coast on the open sea side of Sliema.
Great location, close to boat to Valletta. Rooms are ok, not value for money just ok. Unfortunately, the pool is really crowded and most sunbed occupied by towels rather than people actually in the poolclub… Breakfast is really loud and very basic. All in all, std but not worth the money.
Location was excellent, we will give you guys that. But otherwise what's promised on the website is a huge fantasy. Constant issues with the infra, especially electricity (Effecting AC and elevators). Toilets where in need of renovation, even the lid of toilet seat could be changed and that's like 20€ and 10min of work. Floor tiles in toilets mostly loose, and puddle of water stood still for days unless we dried them with towels our selfs. Room cleaning/service team was awesome, doubt they will never get this feedback thou. Bed was ok, pillows ok, balcony was a nice extra, so plus from that.
Overall, the staff at reception seemed more concerned of their social contacts than any complains. Same goes with the staff on the breakfast. And oh, the quality of the breakfast was 2/5.
We wouldn't recommend this hotel to any of our friends/family, especially because you can get better ones in 300m radius with about same price.
Wellness centers sundecks and pool was cool (thou really small), plus for that. Fix the sauna thou, it's kind of messy if you can see the power circuits on the wall without covers, no wonder it works. Co-operation with the pool on the other side of the road was ridiculous small and once again pics on website didn't tell even half the truth about it. The co-operation with the restaurant Grana was almost the worst, they had no idea what is included or not, and the food was awfull. So maybe talk with them before you promise your customers any complementary drinks and such, thou I think it can be hard because no English word is possible to their staff. We had a good vacation, but not anywhere near excellent if we think of the accommodation.
Location was perfect, the neighborhood has everything needed without the nightlife noise. The breakfast staff was very friendly and suggested to prepare options adapted to our halal diet which we appreciated a lot. The room was clean and tidy : special thanks to Ivanka who cleaned our room and was very caring and helpful with the ice machine! We almost never used any of the swimming pools , we thought they were a bit crowded and not very clean but that was not an issue for us as malta’s has plenty beautiful beaches.
Very good location, spacious superior rooms with balcony, breakfast included and Access to pool also included. Very good price when booking directly.
Great location, helpful staff, enjoyex free pass to aqualina lido most days. Bus to Valletta available.
