The Urban Valley Resort aims to make guests feel on top of the world, they do this by offering a range of facilities and top class service. Set in the beautiful gardens of the hotel are two large outdoor swimming pools in a charming valley setting. There is also an indoor swimming pool with a jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. Enjoy a few rounds of tennis on one of the hotels two tennis courts, this is at an extra fee then the equipment is provided.
The hotel's restaurants serve a wide range of mouthwatering cuisine to please everybody's taste buds and something the hotel is very proud of is their fantastic range of desserts. After enjoying a tasty meal, you can head to one of the hotel's bars which serves hot drinks, fine wines, dazzling cocktails and a range of soft drinks.

All the guestrooms have been carefully designed with comfort in mind. Rooms are luxurious and equipped with all the standard amenities. This includes; high-quality beds, TV, minibar (at a fee), telephone, tea/coffee facilities, working desk, hairdryer and toiletries. All rooms are complete with a balcony or terrace. All bathrooms are complete with either a walk-in shower or a bath. Room upgrades are available at a supplement.

Great overall
Overall it was a clean out of the way and quiet place. Staff were very friendly and accommodating most of the time. Just on the first day, the freshener used in the room made me dizzy and nauseous. It took me a little while to convince them to get me a different room. They kept insisting that we should open the door and window to air it out which. The allergy issues should be taken more seriously. After that first day, everything went smooth. Imran and Hemant were both excellent. Staff in the restaurant was good. I would not recommend the buffet. Most of the items were cold even though they were on the hot plates. Same with breakfast the first two days and then it was better. Chicken burger and fries by the pool was excellent. The sea food pasta for dinner was also amazing.

I was here for a group for a women’s conference. The staff in every area was excellent, from housekeeping to food services, to the team that served our conference, everything was done with excellence and a smile. I highly recommend this resort. The rooms are comfortable and the dining room food is good.

Good holiday, value for money. Would stay again.
Lovely hotel set in gardens, good facilities, very clean . Rooms and towels cleaned and replaced every day. Staff always friendly and ready to help. Shower pressure in rooms very low at times and trying to get the balance between hot and cold water very difficult. Contacted reception once when first arrived regarding access for plugging in kettle. Someone came straight away. Room size great, balcony a bit small but ok, overlooking pool and garden area. Food was great quality and choice and personally suffering with a gluten allergy everything was clearly labelled. Fantastic! The only issue being a bit isolated from other eateries in the area. They did a good deal with a three meal package . A complimentary minibus was provided at various times, otherwise it was taxi. Used spa facilities, lovely 😍
The perfect hotel for a quiet week away
We stayed at this hotel mid October as a young couple and cannot fault this at all! The hotel is immaculate and clean, the lovely staff literally do not stop cleaning this place and it feels so clean and well cared for which shines through everything. When we arrived at approximately 2:30pm our room was ready with an upgrade to a suite much to our surprise and the lady at reception kindly showed us to our room and explained the facilities along the way:
The pool: reserving sunbeds is not needed, in fact reserving them is not allowed which is a really great feature as it keeps the poolside calm and serene. The poolside and pool is very clean.
The restaurant: we stayed bed and breakfast and loved each breakfast with options of full cooked, multiple fruits and yogurts and a plentiful amount of baked goods on offer for the breakfast buffet. When eating here we found we did not need lunch. We ate out for dinner most nights away from the hotel.
The room: we arrived to a wonderfully cleaned room, the safe was very easy to set up and the air con was perfect without being too harsh. We loved the shower, my partner is rather tall (over 6’4”) and found the shower to be of a great height which he struggles to find. The room was complete with a fridge stocked with water and glasses, wine glasses and brew making facilities. We cannot fault the rooms at all.
Bar: the bar happy hour is 5-6pm for a 2 for 1 deal on their cocktails. We enjoined this a couple times and found the bar staff very polite and attentive.
The spa: we utilised the included indoor pool and sauna as the steam room was under maintenance. This was such a lovely way to spend a couple evenings and felt so relaxing and never too busy. It is open 09:00-20:30. We did not book any of the paid spa treatments so cannot comment on these.
We used the hotels shuttle service to Valetta and spinola bay a few times on our trip as it saved on buses and taxis and we found it to the very prompt and comfortable. It is a great thing offered by the hotel however I would definitely recommend booking in advance.
Transport links: This is perhaps not the best hotel for those with mobility needs as you will be rather reliant on taxis. Me and my partner often used the university bus stops which are approx a 10-15 min walk away and pass a large supermarket. We found these connected to locations very well and use very affordable bolt taxis where needed. The walk from the bus stop is not for those with mobility needs as it passes through a rocky pathed nature reserve which is beautiful but not overly accessible
Overall I would be delighted to stay at this hotel again and really found the staff so attentive and caring towards the hotel. It really made a holiday feel special
