Enjoyable but improvements required
Our first visit to Malta and think we chose a lovely hotel, but improvements are required for this level. Close to the airport and out of town, but some may find it remote
The room was beautiful but small, but no dressing table and wife had to do her hair stood looking in the mirror on the bathroom door. When you have a shower the bathroom steamed up as there was no ventilation, and you could not use the mirror, it could have been heated.
The dining options are limited and very “samey” breakfast almost daily was a car crash, noisy crockery and cutlery crashing around us, staff running around trying to relay tables, buffet empty daily, and food cold every morning, so gave up having hot food which is disappointing. It was not a pleasant experience. The one morning we had a la carte it was inedible and had to send it back.
The Caprice bar was excellent, good old fashioned service for drinks and snacks and we were well looked after every night
The pool is not heated, and maybe out of our whole weeks stay 6 guests used the pool. It was freezing !!! All the lounger covers each morning were mouldy as well, image attached
Saying all that we enjoyed our stay and loved the restaurants in St Julians, St George's bay and Valetta.
Taxi’s are cheap and reliable (Bolt)
The highlight was Xara Palace where I have reviewed it as well
Lastly I think the lobby was like an airport hotel as every day every table was occupied with guests on laptops having meetings, no private areas for residents

Accessibility issues
I move with a mobility scooter but it was very difficult to move through Corinthia Palace Malta. I always needed someone to open the doors of the lift, even open the doors to the ramp.

We had a most enjoyable stay and left feeling rested. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was delicious.
Exceptional hotel that made our first visit to Malta truly memorable
This was our first visit to Malta and we had a fantastic week. We loved exploring the island, its incredible history and sights, and thoroughly enjoyed the food throughout our trip. However, what turned an excellent holiday into an exceptional one was our stay at the Corinthia Palace.
The hotel itself is superb. Our room was beautifully appointed and extremely comfortable, the décor and surroundings were lovely, and the quality of the food was consistently excellent. We honestly struggled to find fault with anything.
What really sets the Corinthia Palace apart, though, is its staff. Without exception, everyone we encountered was professional, friendly, attentive and genuinely welcoming. There is a warmth to the service that never feels forced or overly formal, and that made a huge difference to our stay.
The breakfast team deserve a particular mention. Every morning we received such an incredibly warm and friendly greeting when we arrived and were shown to our table. It was a small thing perhaps, but it was such a lovely way to start each day and quickly became something we looked forward to.
We also spent most evenings in the Calypso Bar and absolutely loved it. Again, the staff were excellent, friendly, attentive and engaging, and helped make our evenings there one of the highlights of the holiday.
There are plenty of luxury hotels that can offer beautiful rooms, excellent food and impressive surroundings. What is much harder to create is genuine hospitality and a feeling that the people looking after you really care about your experience. The Corinthia Palace achieved exactly that.
Malta certainly gave us plenty of reasons to return, but the Corinthia Palace gave us one more. We would happily stay here again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Historic Paradise in Malta
We had such an incredible time at this hotel. Don’t let the reviews fool you that accuses the hotel of being in bad condition- it is truly stunning! The room was simple and aged in style, sure, but it was well appointed and extremely comfortable. The grounds, the restaurant, lobby and pool are all truly beautiful. The service was impeccable, from front desk to bell to breakfast. Jericho helped us several times at the desk. We will NEVER forget this incredible trip! Thank you so much!
