Location is good as lovely beach just across the road .( buy your inflatables from there as cheaper). There is a spar shop up the road and a Starbucks with a nice restaurant there as well . Apart from that there’s not much else in the bay but you can visit the town but if you can’t walk far especially in the heat then get an uber or bolt for around 7 to ten euros . If you like a lively resort with shops etc then wrong location for you .
Hotel :positives - hotel itself is lovely and staff work hard . A special thanks to our cleaner Menuka who went above and beyond and cleaned every day unless we asked not to . Room was spotless after she had been in and we can’t thank her enough . She also cleaned our groups other two rooms to the same standard. Pool - sun beds always available I peak season so was really pleased . Negatives- most staff were friendly but found some bar staff rude it was really hot and miss . The entertainment was good especially the greatest showman . Was mostly dancing which was very good standard just shame there wasn’t other types of entertainment but just personal preference. If you have teenagers like we did not a lot to do for them . Would be good if they had another venue with something else going on . Drinks- to be honest the whole token thing g isn’t for us and you can only get drinks from pool bar not adult bar or sports bar during the day . The cocktails were not good just loads of juice in small plastic cups so bring your own ( not sure why they push the cocktails so much ) we preferred other fully inclusive at other hotels with better quality cocktails and choice of drinks. Communication in the hotel isn’t great you have to figure a lot out yourself. Food- good choices just same as most fully inclusives to be honest and even though we tried to book the special restaurants as soon as we got there the jungle one was fully booked the whole ten days we were there .
General : Lady in the shop on site I didn’t get her name but she spoke English was very polite and helpful . Big shout out to Alex in the coral restaurant who was also smiling and happy and helpful . (Give him a pay rise ) The hotel over all was good just needs a few tweaks here and there and also a rethink with the drinks tokens but would recommend.
Over all im satisfied all waiters are accommodating especial mention to Leon for assisting me and my friend. Amazing food.
We had a really nice evening and our Waiter Ram was really nice and friendly
We had chosen this hotel partly due to the number of positive reviews but also based on the online images of the accommodation. Unfortunately our experience did not meet our expectations and I feel it is helpful to share an honest review.
Positives:
Cleanliness - the cleaners do a great job of keeping the rooms clean and are really friendly. No complaints whatsoever in this area. The communal areas also appeared clean (restaurants, pool area, bar).
Location - bus stops right outside hotel and easy to access the whole island via bus. Beach is also directly opposite on the other side of a busy road.
Food - pretty inconsistent as some days were far better than others. There was not the best range of buffet dishes but food was fresh and hot and the desserts were especially good. Restaurant is busy but always somewhere to sit. We didn’t bother booking the other restaurants as they were fully booked so can only comment on the main one. Restaurant staff are also friendly and welcoming.
Now for the negatives:
Drinks:
Really tedious and inconvenient token system during the day where you have to take your (really small) plastic cup back to the bar each time you want a drink, even for soft drinks. This is really annoying as if you’ve left your cup by the pool and you are somewhere else in the hotel then you have to go back for it first. No self-serve soft drinks are available apart from in restaurants so you have to queue up for ages for bar service for one tiny drink.
No ice cream included in all inclusive. In fact the all inclusive feels like half board plus as it’s so poor.
Pool area:
Overcrowded, tired and in need of updating, cracked tiles and grimy bits. Definitely looks nothing like the pictures!!
Rooms:
Dated with tiny camp beds for teenagers, so uncomfortable and broke twice during our stay.
Air con:
Great in the rooms but barely works in the sports bar and some other areas so really uncomfortably hot at times.
Overall this is like a decent average 3 star hotel but is definitely not worthy of 4 star ratings and the drinks system is one of the worst all inclusive features I’ve experienced. The reviews and online presentation of the hotel are not representative of the real experience in my opinion and not value for money. The day guests also add to the crowdedness in the pool and slow bar service.
Just really disappointed as Malta is a lovely country
DALBIR/ANISH/DILIP/MANISHA Good food Beatiful viev
