The Riviera Spa Resort is situated in one of the best-preserved and picturesque areas in the north of Malta, in a tranquil seafront location, facing the islands of Comino and Gozo across a channel of blue shimmering water - simply idyllic!
The Carisma Spa offers a soothing escape from every day’s life, with relaxing beauty and wellness treatments inspired by thalasso therapy. In this indulgent atmosphere, complete with luxurious spa facilities such as sauna, steam room*, thalasso pool, cold room and indoor pool, guests can relax, rejuvenate and revive body and mind. The sauna, indoor pool and fitness centre comes complimentry for all guests.
En-suite rooms are bright and airy and all have a private balcony or terrace with country views. Facilities include seasonal air conditioning / heating, bathroom with shower (bath available on request and subject to availability), free Wi-Fi, coffee / tea maker, hairdryer, safe deposit box, TV with international channels. A selection of room upgrades are available at a supplement.
The Hotel also has a SSI certified Diving School*, the expert diving instructors provide guided dives, SSI certification courses, and equipment rentals.
The Riviera Spa Resort is ideal for exploring the islands with the Gozo ferry being only two bus stops away. Boats to Comino are available from the quay in the front of the Hotel (summer months only). Malta's largest blue flag sandy beach and the town of Mellieha are also just a few bus stops away. A regular public bus service connects the hotel to other towns including the capital Valletta a World Heritage City, the fortified Medieval city of Mdina, the Three Cities and Grand Harbour area, the shopping and entertainment meccas of Sliema and St Julian's.

Lamb chop heaven.
The Lebanese restaurant in this hotel was superb. You must’ve the lamb chops. Service from Mateshwari was outstanding.

Place to relax
Hotel is on private location with very friendly staff and good food. It has awesome views on Mediterranean Sea. Hotel room was clean daily and spotless . Most important there was no sale pressure for anything. I will comeback for sure.

Bed comfy Beautiful hotel WiFi is good Food is excellent, plenty variety, 3 restaurants & Beach club Beautiful views Mickel at guest relations very helpful and friendly 5 minute walk to ferry terminal to Gozo right outside the hotel Can always get a sunbed Reasonably priced food and drink - buffet €34 including juice and alcohol or €26 for buffet and water Room very clean, new towels every day Day time entertainment around pool is fabulous, the gentleman was very welcoming, not pushy! Can hire towels for €10 deposit Cakes & deserts in the hotel are out of this world Taxi & bus service is super easy!
Cons Slabs around pool need re-grouped, tiles are unstable and dangerous Sun beds need thoroughly cleaned Have to to travel to go anywhere, although this didn’t so much bother us as we knew this before coming Became unwell due to eating a chicken curry that ended up tasting like fish, mickel from guest relations was very accommodating and provided us a voucher to use in the buffet restaurant My partner paid €210 to upgrade to a sea view deluxe room, however we felt this wasn’t worth the money, as it isn’t much bigger than the standard rooms Italian restaurant - my partner ordered the pizza, it came in a square and was under cooked. I ordered the 400g beef with rocket salad, the beef was raw and unable to chew. Cushions require cleaning out the front entrance

Bad advice
Super location and friendly welcome. We reached out before arrival asking if we could be accommodated in any way as we had to catch a very early flight the morning after check out only to be told 'you will need to book an additional night and pay the full nightly rate' We booked a non refundable bnb elsewhere and on arrival found oud from our welcome pack that a later check out was optional and on speaking to customer relations we were also told that we could have had a shower room available to us. Poor knowledge in the reservation team. Shout out to Alim our housekeeper 😊
