The hotel is located in a very quiet area full of trees, only 800 m away from the gorgeous beaches of Gerakas and Porto Roma. Gerakas beach is one of the beaches where Caretta turtles lay their eggs. Zakynthos International Airport is approximately 16 km away. This family-run hotel is eco-friendly and has fantastic views. Comprising a total of 60 accommodation units, it is surrounded by cypress trees. Younger guests will surely appreciate the children's playground and kids' club. The café, bar and restaurant provide food and drinks. WLAN Internet access and bicycle hire are available. The hotel provides an entertainment programme and also offers a gym, a spa ,a fitness room ,beaty saloon ,Outdoor hot tub , and tennis facilities for the recreation of guests. An outdoor swimming pool, Children's pool ,Sunbeds and umbrellas are available as well. The port of Zante is 13.8 km away.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
The hotel has a great location within a walking distance to Gerakas Beach with lovely views around. If you feel like exploring the local area on foot, you can walk to the picturesque Porto Roma beach or even the long and wide, sandy Banana beach, or if you wish, you can rent a car to explore the island even more. From Gerakas beach you can also walk up the hill, following the path to the right, to see the impressive white rocks. As if it comes to food, the buffet serves tasty savoury food including fish, seafood, meat dishes (pork, beef, chicken), fresh and baked vegetables with new options appearing every day. You can taste and learn the names of some Greek dishes as there are lables next to the trays. The sweet options for dessert include delicious cakes, ice cream, fresh fruit, mainly juicy and sweet yellow melon, watermelon, pieces of oranges, grapefruit, apples, occasionally pineapple and kiwi. The range of food to me was sufficient, maybe not as wide as in bigger hotels, but there was a good variety to choose from to compose a balanced meal with fruit and delicious cake to end with. We enjoyed the Greek relaxing music sounds during our evening meals. The service is wonderful, the staff very helpful and hospitable. One small issue in the room was fixed promptly. The room we had was clean, beds with very comfortable matresses, which is important for us, the reusable glass water bottle in the fridge that we could fill up at the bar every day was a great idea. The only drawback may seem to be the insufficient number of sunbeds at the pool but we didn't have the problem, plus we spent some days on the beach and explored the island. Overall, it was a very relaxing holiday experience and I would return.
I would not rate this a 4 star hotel. Towels are supposed to be changed every two days, the bed linen every three days. Bed linen was never changed the entire week we stayed at the hotel. Towels were changed after four days. Two days our room was not cleaned. One day we got back to our room to find two toilet rolls outside our room door. We had a terrace outside our room, but it was covered in bird poo. The cleaning staff left the toilet rolls on the dirty table covered in bird poo! After complaining about the room not being cleaned and no towels, the cleaning staff turned up in the afternoon on our last day. They rinsed the shower and straightened the beds. Still did not clean the floor or change the bed linen. And, the cleaning staff strip the top sheet off the bed and leave it folded at the end of the bed. You have to make your own bed, which I have never experienced in any other previous hotel, regardless of the star rating. The hotel has over 80 rooms, suites, apartments and private villas and just 42 sun beds around the pool! Staff did nothing about people placing towels early in the morning, or people leaving towels on beds while they went on excursions. We booked our holiday through TUI, which states the pool bar snacks are all inclusive, which they are not! Be prepared to spend some money as the nearest shop is 1km away. And, the bar manager shouted at my husband when we tried to walk out the restaurant with our drinks. We had not seen the sign saying glasses can not be taken out of the restaurant. Yet, we saw numerous people taking glasses out of the restaurant and they were not stopped, or shouted at. We will not be back!
The location is great, and the atmosphere is calm and relaxing. The rooms are spacious, each with a large balcony. Towels were changed daily, even when we didn't need them. The reception staff were very helpful, giving us clear advice on car rentals, boat trips with a glass-bottom boat, and everything else we asked about. The food was varied and delicious. Thank you for a wonderful stay—we'll definitely recommend this hotel to our friends!
Having just returned from the hotel, I feel some of the previous reviews have been a little harsh. The hotel is somewhat remote, but the tour operator’s description clearly states that it is ideal for those seeking a peaceful escape. That was exactly why we chose it, and we were not disappointed. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful; nothing seemed too much trouble for them. The food was plentiful, with something to suit everyone. My only criticism would be that it was not always as hot as I would have liked. However, the quality was certainly not poor, and we enjoyed everything we tried. We stayed in a Harmony Suite, which was spacious, comfortable, and clean. Fresh towels were provided regularly, and the bedding was changed during our stay. The shower was adequate, although the floor drain meant the bathroom floor could become a little slippery at times — but that is not uncommon in Greece. Some previous reviews mentioned a shortage of sunbeds. As the week progressed and more guests arrived, staff continued to put out additional beds. We personally never struggled to find one, although we did notice some guests sitting around the pool bar until late afternoon waiting for beds to become available. This may become more of an issue once the school holidays begin. Overall, we had a thoroughly enjoyable, peaceful, and relaxing week. If you are looking for a laid-back getaway, I would happily recommend the Gerakas Belvedere Hotel.
Bad from the start! This is not a 4star all inclusive in my opinion 2star at best very limited offer gym, snack food, ice cream etc all at additional cost so if you have kids it’s going to cost you. Room was dated tired with broken fittings also smelt of damp, shower leaked we had to constantly put towels down to avoid slipping over air con hit and miss, it would seem some of the comfort rooms haven’t been updated so beware. Management haven’t a clue how to deal with customers we gave up trying to change rooms in the end we just got fobbed off, then we find out room upgrades were been handed out to new guests arriving when we asked we got told it’s a lottery and it’s not there fault we booked that room 🤷♂️ Panas the bar manager had my wife in tears on one day! She only asked for a larger wine glass so she could have ice in her drink and was snapped at in front of other guests ridiculous, this had not been an issue the first week. There is no separate bar area it’s all in the restaurant so if you want a pre dinner drink you have it in the restaurant or the reception area. Food ok if you like salad but limited offer and Luke warm beer is typical low alcohol all inclusive so fizzy and weak, most people seemed to eat in the taverna across the road. Pool area was best described as chaos! not enough sun beds the hotels answer was to take peoples towels off the beds who tried to reserve them, maybe a clear sunbed use policy or clear signs would have been better than having angry guests. The pool is ridiculously hot! No lifeguard or monitoring of the pool whatsoever. Hotel is isolated which didn’t bother us one of the reasons we booked to be fair but if you want to get about a car is a must taxi fairs are very expensive. In summary this is not a good value for money all inclusive holiday not 4 star! Avoid Only positive is the waitress’s in the restaurant and Athena on the pool bar work hard and do a great job.
