Good and bad
r are exceptional lots of laughs . On a bad note the food is rubbish at the restaurant very bland not much of a choice The location is a bit out of the way but to town can be easily walked taxis are cheap and very quick You must visit Tom and Johns pool bar bloody lovely the place is amazing the atmosphere is awesome the Greek night is a must Anna’s kitchen the food there is amazing well worth the visit
Fix the WiFi!!!!!
The hotel is located on a busy corner with no crossing or immediate pathway.
It was a quiet atmosphere but entertainment was good on nights it was provided. The atmosphere was more down to guests behaviour rather than hotel itself.
The rooms were very spacious clean and comfortable. They were commonly cleaned. However the slow WiFi meant streaming services on TV were unavailable and no areal signal meant no access to terrestrial.
The staff were friendly and polite over the period they get to know you.
The food was delicious but drinks were watered down with weak beer and undrinkable wine.
The hotel itself gives very good value for the money paid.
My only final point is the WiFi was unusable as it was so ridiculously slow. In 2026 WiFi should atleast be satisfactory.
An ok stay
We visited here with our family mid October. Weather was warm and sunny although one day of rain which didn’t spoil things. The hotel is in 2 parts on a busy road separated by a small service road, pools and bars in both buildings. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean, rooms, public area etc very well maintained with an elevator to higher floors. The restaurant is small with not much room between tables and gets busy, food was ok typical buffet meals, coffee from a machine was drinkable and a good selection of tea bags but no fruit teas. Wine ( red and white) was undrinkable beer also on tap and was passable. Staff are excellent, they all deserved to be praised for their service and very friendly manner Bad points. The bedrooms have a ‘Scandinavian’ look, appear very modern but are basic. There are no draws and few clothes hangers. The bed frames are literally 4 pieces of wood knocked together and are lethal should you catch your shin on one. Several guests ( me included) were walking around with bruised or bleeding shins. The beds are ok not the most comfortable but not the worst either. The toilet/shower room is another matter, tiny is the only way to describe it, plenty of hot water but again nowhere to place basic things like soap or shampoo other than the floor and getting dry is an art form. The hotel is located on the main road into Tsilivi/Planos, their is a bus stop right outside but even the hotel reception said the bus could appear 30 minutes either side of the timetable and sometimes not at all, be warned. The main town area is a 20 to 30 minutes walk from the hotel with some footpaths but not all the way, the road can get busy during the day so be careful. We enjoyed our stay but won’t return here

loved the Filoxenia!
Loved our holiday at the Filoxenia Hotel. The staff were amazing, especially the night bar men, the rooms were spacious and cleaned daily. We stayed in a 2 bedroomed room with an 11 year old and a 16 year old. The buffet was small in comparison to other hotels we have stayed at but we always found something to eat. We enjoyed a walk in the evening into town and usually stopped for a drink at Sandra's bar. loved the turtles trip and the waterpark, which is half price after 2.30pm. We also used the shuttle bus to go to the beach. We are looking forward to returning next summer!
