Golden Sun Resort is a new accomodation with twenty luxury rooms for adults only. Sixteen luxury rooms with private pool and four high floor rooms with private hot tub are available to make guest's stay unforgettable. The rooms can accommodate up to two adults. Rooms have Double bed, Mini bar with extra charge, Air Condition, hairdryer, iron, safe, satellite TV & 12 hours room service. Pool Bar Restaurant is open from early morning till night next to the Swimming Pool and the hot tub is also another place to relax. The Main restaurant is the place where everyone can enjoy Breakfast and Dinner with many choices from the ala carte menu. The Spa with an Indoor heated pool, Hammam and the Beauty treatments is the perfect place to feel refreshed. Golden Sun Resort & Spa has only 150m distance from the sandy beach,400m for Kalamaki center, 3km from the airport & 5km from Zante town

LOVELY!!
We staying in the Golden Sun Hotel (not spa) I think otherwise known as the family/All inclusive side. And honestly, it’s been great! The rooms are lovely, and have everything you need! Hairdryers and even robes (which was a lovely touch!) the rooms are clean and stylish. One of our party had a single traveller room which was amazing to see to be honest! That was a perfect size for them and a lovely looking room!
The food is pretty good too! We were worried about coming at the end of season that it might be a bit lacking but everything is so tasty! The buffet is a little on the small side but that is literally the size of it.. lots to choose from and fresh fruits and salads! Breakfast is my least fave meal, but that’s because I don’t usually have it so not up for eating just after I’ve woken up. Lunch in the restaurant is lovely, plenty to choose from if you wanted something lighter or heavier. Dinner has been our favourite meal. There isn’t your typical dinner buffet food. Not so many chips but I think it’s so refreshing to see! Everything is very well seasoned and super tasty!
Even the crockery is lovely! Not just white plates from the local catering supplier
The pool bar has lovely selection of sandwiches from 11am but also served burgers and chips too if you wanted to have that instead.
All the staff have been so wonderful, polite and a pleasure to spent time with.
There have been a few cons so here they come: The pool is super cold, that could be down to us coming in October.. so maybe a little bit of user error. It’s also a little messy and a little unclean so could use some attention. There should be a mini market open onsite but that is all closed up! We were a little disappointed at that as there’s nothing better than going to buy a 9pm packet of crisps! But again, this is probably down to being end of season
WASPSSSSS!! OMG so many wasps! That’s not the hotels fault, obviously! But I thought it was worth a mention. When we looked it up, it’s been a problem in kalamaki this year due to a wet start and a warm end.
Based in Kalamaki, you’ll need to get transport to places like Zante, Langanas etc. expect each journey to be around €20. We got the fun train back from zante and that was great. The hotel is about 2 min walk from Kalamaki beach which is just STUNNING. I suggest you go,even on a windy day
The hotel proved pool towels for €10ea for a deposit (CASH). Which is always great for us
All in all, we would be delighted to come back here, maybe we will try the spa side!
One more thing to mention is how close this is to the airport. LITERALLY at the end of the run way! We loved seeing all the planes fly in/out but I can see how this could be off putting to some people
Another shout out to all the staff.. they are wonderful and a credit to the hotel. Especially our singing lady in the pool bar

Don't waste your money
The reviews you see with 4 or 5 stars are for the Hotel next door which is really nice, The Goldebpn sun Hotel it's self is far from being 4 star,If you don't reserve a sunbed before 6.30am your not getting one,there is a sign on the sunbed not to reserve them before 9.00am , didn't think you should reserve them at all. The snack bar beside the pool is a haven for wasps and people were getting stung on a regular basis during our 9 days stay.There was only 2 nights where entertainment was on in the evening,An English lady who was pretty good to be fair and an elderly Greek man with a guitar ,not sure if he was booked or he'd had enough of the lack of atmosphere. The biggest disappointment was it was a self service bar with warm drinks and no ice available unless you queue for it inside with the 1 person running around trying to serve everyone in the inside bar with only 4 tables for a Hotel that accommodates 300 + people. Also the biggest thing was drinking out of plastic cups , not what you'd expect from a 4 star hotel .The aircraft noise wasn't a problem but just a warning it starts from about 6.00am and it's extremely load

Fantastic Holiday – Highly Recommended!
We had a wonderful stay at Golden Sun Hotel! Everything was excellent, from the friendly and attentive service to the comfortable, well-maintained rooms and delicious food. The staff were always welcoming and made us feel truly appreciated throughout our stay.
The hotel offers everything you need for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday, with a great atmosphere and a high standard of service. You can really see the effort put into making guests feel comfortable and ensuring they have a great experience.
I would definitely recommend Golden Sun to anyone looking for a fantastic holiday. We would happily return! Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Honeymoon
A warm welcome from the receptionist and quickly organised our room despite us arriving very early. A delightful hotel we had a villa with private pool and this did not disappoint. We were also upgraded to all inclusive which was a bonus although I have to say after the 4th or 5th day the food was very repetitive but still a good choice at every meal . Small issues with the tv and the shower that were never really resolved but did not spoil our holiday at all . Overall a great hotel in a lovely part of Kalamaki. Probably wouldn’t go back but only because it didn’t suit us in the fact it was so quiet . Only a 10 minute stroll to the strip and 2 minutes from a lovely beach . If you do go stroll along the beach to Lagunas which is about 30 mins . Planes literally above your head are a bonus Thank you all for a lovely holiday

Would love to come back!
Room was modern, clean and comfortable, cleaner was also lovely. All the staff were friendly and could not do enough for you. Food was exceptional, location was fantastic. We were a couple who went out of season, so there was no entertainment on a night in the hotel and a lot bars/restaurants were closed. So if you want a lively vibe, go in season! We will be back and have loved our stay.
