Caretta Beach Hotel is a well-organized family destination located in the Kalamaki resort, a renowned nesting area for the Caretta-Caretta turtles—a beautiful creature that inspired the hotel's name. The long sandy beach is just a short walk away and can also be reached via a private bus.
Situated 850 meters from the beach, Caretta Beach Resort & WaterPark features a water park with six slides for adults, six slides for kids, outdoor swimming pools, a wave pool, and a lazy river. The front desk is available 24/7 to assist guests. Dining options include three restaurants—two buffet-style and one à la carte—offering a variety of local and international cuisines. Guests can also choose from three bars and a snack bar for quick refreshments and light meals.
All rooms at the hotel are equipped with a wardrobe, air conditioning, and a flat-screen TV. The private bathrooms include a bath and a hairdryer, ensuring a comfortable stay for all guests.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Everything at the resort was wonderful, especially Vivian, our Brazilian host, who showed us around the hotel and introduced us to all its facilities. She was incredibly kind and helpful, and truly made our stay even more special. It was such a great experience! The team, in general, was really nice and kind!
What a week! Booked last minute and was the best decision we made. First time in Zante and won’t be the last. Great location as only ten mins from the airport. First drop off on the transfer. Family of 5 so we had a duplex room. Smaller than I expected but was fine for us. Air con was a god send. We stayed in block B so looked over the main pools which was lovely. Room was only cleaned once in our stay however towels and fresh sheets provided daily. Atmosphere was amazing as soon as we arrived. Warm welcome on reception and hotel was busy. Lots of families. I would recommend having a walk round as you don’t actually realise how big the resort is. Food was brilliant. Yes repetitive like any all inclusive but all tasted great. My kids are not adventurous with food bur honestly enjoyed something every night and didn’t struggle once to find anything they liked. Main restaurant was busy but manageable and the staff do everything they can to seat you immediately. Managed to eat in both the à la carte restaurants but I would advise to book as soon as you arrive as they get busy. Staff wise I cannot fault them. Every single person works so hard from the cleaners, waiters to entertainment staff. I don’t think I’ve been to a resort where the staff work harder than these people. They deserve a medal in this heat. Amazing value for money. This is the best resort we have been too in terms of having everything you need in one place. The waterpark is amazing! Opens at 10am every morning and plenty of sunbeds. Same for round the main pool. Beds still free after 8am which is unusual. Loads of activities in the day for both adults and children. My eldest loved the volleyball, darts and ball games in the day. Overall a brilliant week away and wouldn’t hesitate to come back! Shout out to Tara, Hakeem and the rest of the animation team who works so hard everyday whilst keeping the kids entertained!
We are so sad to be leaving, had a fantastic stay at the Caretta Beach. Lovely hotel with fantastic staff. Big shout out to the entertainment team, in particular Hakem and Tara, who were so much fun and our kids had a great time… we hope to come back again next year!
Stayed in August as two families 2x adults and 2x kids each family.
If this was a review on the water park and staff in the waterpark and restaurants/bars/cleaners, we would likely give this a five star.
However, food - average - yes we expected mass produced for an all inclusive, however there was next to no variety in options (and we have stayed in similar all inclusives where there are theme nights and variety so it’s possible).
Late check out was a farce. Accepted days before, told it was available then given vague options for over 24 hours before being told it wasn’t possible. Lack of clarity and communication were the biggest issue here. Just say no up front.
OGs restaurant was not great, wouldn’t recommend. Pleasantly surprised by the Italian.
Changing facilities for those not able to hold a room for late check out were sub standard. A slippery death trap, no kind of air ventilation or anywhere to safely store dry clothes to change into, an absolute joke.
Area of Kalamaki itself is great, located on the strip so loads of restaurants, shops and bars - we ended up eating out for half of the week and can say they were the most enjoyable nights we had. Pandesia, Buon Amici and Bullhorn Steak House are great food options, as well as Speakeasy and Divine for drinks options.
Won’t be in a rush to return here especially for the price.
Another great family holiday here ,bar staff were great ,Fotis ,Nick ,Maria so friendly, ,great food and entertainment team Tara and Hakem were so friendly and really made our holiday special we had great fun water volleyball and my baby grandson absolutely loved them always made time to talk to us and loved all water games xx
