Caretta Beach Hotel is a well-organized family destination located in the Kalamaki resort, a renowned nesting area for the Caretta-Caretta turtles—a beautiful creature that inspired the hotel's name. The long sandy beach is just a short walk away and can also be reached via a private bus.
Situated 850 meters from the beach, Caretta Beach Resort & WaterPark features a water park with six slides for adults, six slides for kids, outdoor swimming pools, a wave pool, and a lazy river. The front desk is available 24/7 to assist guests. Dining options include three restaurants—two buffet-style and one à la carte—offering a variety of local and international cuisines. Guests can also choose from three bars and a snack bar for quick refreshments and light meals.
All rooms at the hotel are equipped with a wardrobe, air conditioning, and a flat-screen TV. The private bathrooms include a bath and a hairdryer, ensuring a comfortable stay for all guests.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We loved our stay at Caretta Beach Resort in Zakynthos. The kid’s mini disco every evening was a huge hit - our children looked forward to it all day, dancing and playing games with animators who clearly knew how to keep them engaged.
In the evenings, there was always something fun going on - karaoke, dance shows, and live singing that made for a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere.
A huge shoutout to Chabah, the entertainment manager - he was amazing and clearly the heart of the whole program. But what really stood out was the restaurant staff - incredibly friendly, attentive, and warm at every single meal, making us feel welcome the whole week.
Five stars all around - this was an stress-free, genuinely fun family holiday!
The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff were friendly and provided great service, and the overall atmosphere was very pleasant. The food in the main restaurant was average, but the specialty restaurants, especially the Italian restaurant and OG, were excellent and definitely worth visiting. The pool activities were fun and entertaining, and the location of the hotel was also very good.
We had a fantastic stay at this resort and would definitely recommend it to families. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming, and one member of staff, who we think was a manager, really stood out. He was always around, making sure everyone was happy and couldn’t do enough for the guests. He’s a real credit to the resort.
The rooms were clean and well maintained throughout our stay. The food could be a little repetitive at times, but there was always something for everyone to enjoy, so nobody went hungry.
The waterpark was a massive hit with the kids, and they absolutely loved it. The snack bar was also really good and perfect for grabbing something during the day.
Overall, we had a lovely holiday and would happily come back. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable!
Clean rooms, pool areas tidy, staff friendly and work very hard, loads for kids to do.
We came here last year and coming back this year was a big shock, gone down hill massively, rooms are not cleaned properly, the food was awful and the same every night, the snack bar was by far the worst I’ve ever experienced on a holiday, limited either chips or onion rings, pizza was awful, pasta salad and gyros and onion rings wasn’t always available so some days all there was were chips and the staff are rude and miserable, pools were clean, massage place was good, the man was incredible, the women who works there wasn’t very good, gave a really poor massage and didn’t really know what she was doing, won’t be coming back here for the price of the holiday there are much better places to go for your money with a better service
