This hotel boasts an incredibly convenient location as it lies in the heart of Rhodes. It is close to the old town where guests will find various shopping venues and entertainment opportunities. This fully air-conditioned establishment comprises a total of 200 rooms spread over 6 floors. Guests are welcomed in the lobby, where they will find the charming café and the bar. In addition, the on-site restaurant serves a vast variety of culinary delights. All air-conditioned accommodation units include an en-suite bathroom and Internet access. Guests are able to make use of the swimming pool located in the well-tended grounds.
We stayed here for four lovely nights and had a really enjoyable stay. Before arriving, I was a little worried after reading reviews about the small pool and having to queue for sunbeds, but it wasn’t an issue for us. The pool area opens at 9:20am, so there were usually a few people waiting, but we always managed to get sunbeds. It does get much busier from around 11am onwards. The pool itself is small - perfect for a dip and for children to enjoy.
The rooms are traditional rather than modern, but they were spotless and cleaned daily with fresh towels. On arrival we were welcomed with a bottle of bubbly, and on a few mornings we were also treated to fresh fruit and rolls, which was a lovely touch. The views aren’t the best, as the Mitsis Grand Hotel opposite is currently being renovated. Pool-view rooms can also be a little noisy, as this is a city hotel and the rooms are much closer to the pool than you would find in a large resort.
There is one buffet restaurant with a different theme each evening. Some nights the food was excellent, while on others it felt a little repetitive, particularly if you’re vegetarian, as the choice was more limited. The fresh pizzas from the clay oven were absolutely delicious, and the salad selection was always excellent. We stayed on an all-inclusive basis, and the drinks selection was fantastic. There’s also a pool bar serving snacks such as chips, crêpes, hot dogs, and popcorn throughout the day, which we really enjoyed.
We had a lovely, relaxing holiday, but it’s worth knowing that this isn’t a large resort-style hotel with lots of daytime activities. That said, the evening entertainment was great, creating a fun and friendly atmosphere. The staff were wonderful throughout our stay. Their hospitality was exceptional, and they genuinely went out of their way to make sure guests felt welcome and well looked after.
The location is fantastic. It’s within walking distance of the beach, which is very pebbly, and Rhodes Old Town is also close by, along with plenty of shops, bars, and restaurants.
This was a different experience from my usual five-star resort holiday, but we still had a very pleasant stay. I would definitely book another Mitsis hotel in the future, although I’d probably choose one of their five-star plus resorts. This hotel is more of a comfortable, basic city hotel, so don’t expect luxury extras like concierge service, room service, or premium resort-style facilities. It’s ideal for people who enjoy exploring the local area, whereas if you’re someone like me who prefers spending most of your holiday relaxing at the hotel, I’d recommend choosing one of their larger resort properties instead.
Overall, we had a lovely trip and really enjoyed our stay.
Good vraiters Stella and Ersi Good clining good atmosféra in hotel helping receptions
We had a great stay at this hotel. It offers excellent value for money, and the service was outstanding. A special thanks to Popi from the restaurant, who truly went above and beyond to make our stay memorable.
Many thanks to the staff, especially Dora and Floutra from Housekeeping. You made our stay very pleasant.
On arrival had a lovely welcoming from staff. Our room faced the construction of the new hotel being built, asked to be moved which happened efficiently the following morning. Isolated pool area, wall locked, no air and on top of each other if you are lucky enough to get a bed. Doors lock the pool area until 9.30 and queuing was necessary. Location of hotel is great. Food not good, bland, cold and not much choice we ate out even for breakfast. Went to hotels beach 4 min walk no vacant beds or drinking/toilet facilities. Lounge area very small, outside area 7 tables overlooking the traffic. The hotel is very dated and worn. The staff were all excellent in every area but this is not enough to warrant cost as cannot camouflage as many negatives.
