- Lindos Sun Hotel
This charming hotel commands a remarkable position on the island, situated in the middle of a beautiful bay, 800 m from the picturesque St. Paul's bay and church, 1 km from the village of Lindos and 2 km from the resort of Pefkos. Diagoras Airport is some 50 km from the hotel, whose interior blends simple chic with classic Greek style. The hotel is built in bungalow style and offers 40 rooms, all with their own private balcony or veranda. The rooms are elegant and in keeping with the simple nature of the Greek islands, but fitted with all modern necessities. The swimming pool is surrounded by gardens, set against the red volcanic rock of the mountainside and has its own views of the spectacular bay of Psaltos. Guests can enjoy a drink at the poolside snack bar and relax with the sun loungers and parasols laid out ready for use.
Take advantage of recreation opportunities such as an outdoor pool or take in the view from a terrace and a garden. Additional amenities at this hotel include complimentary wireless Internet access, concierge services and wedding services.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

Returned from a weeks stay here and was not disappointed. On arriving at the hotel the service was excellent, from reception, to the pool bar, restuarant, cleaners and the gentleman who fetched us to our room on the buggy (which was much appreciated). We were always greeted with a smile and hello, this hotel is definetely getting it right in terms of the staff they have. The breakfast on a morning is one of the best selections i have seen, cereals, pastries, jams, fruit, hams, cheeses and then your more traditional english items such as bacon, beans etc and not forgetting the egg station, the guy on there always has a smile and does the best omlettes. We visited the pool bar several times, the menu was extensive and reasonably priced which is good to see. The gyros platter there was really nice and enough to share. As we has booked our stay well in advance we were half board (now not available) and therefore visited Le Grec several times as part of this. The lady and gentleman were always really friendly and attentive and one of the nights the chef even came up and asked if all ok which was a nice touch. The food here is lovely and i love the ideas the chef has. I have to say the lamb was definetely by favourite dish. The only thing i would say is that portion sizes are huge and some of the side dishes would have easily fed 3 or 4 not 1 person due to this we rarely made it to dessert although on the occasion that we did the cheesecake was lovely. The restaurant could really do with some marketing as it was never very full however is in an ideal location for passing trade, maybe a sign out front and 10% off for guests would increase footfall plus as one of the previous reviews mentioned a traditional greek night once a week would surely bring in the crowds. The location is a little out of the way, around 20 minutes walk to Lindos which i wouldnt recommend in the heat as its uphill however a taxi there and walk back was lovely. We also visited Pefkos during our stay and it was nice to have the choice. We would 100% return to this hotel.
Hotel is in a good location, inbetween Lindos and pefkos, 25 min walk in Lindos or 10 euro in the taxi, staff friendly, hotel clean and tidy, as breakfasts go would give it 9/10. Pool bar food good and decent price.would stay again 👍
A nice hotel, with nice rooms, cleaned everyday and very quiet a night. Would expect fresh milk for coffee in room. The view from hotel was amazing. Its around 20 minutes walk to Lindos and a taxi ride to Pefkos and nothing in-between, which doesn't help if u want anything from a shop, as the hotel shop only sell clothes, inflatable, condoms and cigs. Breakfast was 1st class, but not enough staff on each morning, having to find them to request a hot drink.
Wonderfully relaxing hotel, spotlessly clean, quiet location. Special mention to the staff who were friendly, attentive, helpful and good fun. The rooms have been designed to guarantee a great nights sleep, mattress was 10/10, a bit more storage would be good. The choice for breakfast was fantastic, plenty tables available including outdoors. We had lunch, dinner and room service during our stay, all exceptional quality especially Le Grec. The walk to Lindos village took us 20 mins, it was lovely to mingle with the crowds in the narrow streets then return to the fresh, calm atmosphere of the hotel, and cocktails at the bar. It’s impossible not to rate this hotel highly, it’s understated attention to detail just works.
Stayed here late September and can’t recommend it enough. From arrival (transfer coach was late leaving airport) so we didn’t get to the hotel until 10pm , reception was so welcoming and rushed us over to the restaurant to feed us before checking in. We were then helped with luggage to our room (423) which was spacious, clean and had a generous balcony with great views looking out beyond the hotel plus behind at the rugged rocky terrain. Lovely little touches to the room, through out our stay staff were so friendly and always at hand to help. Generous food choice at breakfast, plenty of choice where to sit inside & out. (I favoured sitting out watching the mountain goats on their morning trail). Although situated near a main road , the gardens and pool surroundings were quiet, pretty with pink flowers & relaxing . Lovely sized outdoor pool, plenty of sun loungers never felt crowded. First thought Le Grec Restaurant may be a little expensive but after visiting Lindos some evenings all relatively priced the same. Great options of places to visit and beaches in both directions from the hotel within walking distance with pavements, plus a bus stop outside for excursions. Our stay was a much needed relaxing one in a beautiful kept hotel, thank you team Lindos, we hope to return one day.
