A beautiful adults-only resort with stunning views and a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere

A beautiful adults-only resort with stunning views and a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere

Lindos Grand Resort & Spa is a beautiful, well-appointed adults-only resort that delivers exactly what you’d hope for when looking for a relaxing Greek escape. It’s a little cold aesthetically and a has a cruise ship vibe so don’t expect a true Greek feel.

The location is simply stunning, with incredible views across the bay that make the perfect backdrop throughout your stay.

The beach is only a short stroll from the resort and has dedicated seating for guests, along with a fantastic beachside bar and restaurant. It’s a great place to spend the day and enjoy the beautiful surroundings without needing to go far.

The buffet deserves special mention. Both breakfast and dinner offered a fantastic range of fresh, well-prepared food with plenty of choice. Just be aware that this is very much a resort dining experience rather than a traditional Greek taverna. If you’re looking for authentic local cuisine, take a short taxi ride into Lindos and explore the many excellent restaurants in the village.

We didn’t personally use the spa, but it looked excellent, and the spa team were always visible around the resort offering complimentary massages, which was a lovely touch and a great way to introduce guests to their services.

The staff throughout the resort were friendly and welcoming. It’s a perfect choice for couples looking for a peaceful, high-quality adults-only holiday.

One final piece of advice—especially for my fellow Brits: respect the Greek sun! Nobody should spend spend their holiday trying to like a Waitrose chicken in a bag, and that applies equally to both guys and girls. If you are bright red you are not a chicken in bag you are more like a lobster!

Remember, the umbrella is there to keep the sun off you, not to become a walking stick to help you back to your room after enjoying one too many excellent cocktails at the bar!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful hotel

We had an amazing stay at Lindos Grand and couldn’t recommend it more highly. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, with stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. The breakfast was exceptional, with a huge variety of fresh and delicious options every morning. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help, making us feel so well looked after throughout our stay. The pool area is amazing, perfect for relaxing, and the beach facilities are just as impressive, with easy access and everything you need for a comfortable day by the sea. Our room was spotless every day, and the view from our balcony was absolutely breathtaking. Overall, Lindos Grand exceeded our expectations in every way. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing getaway in Rhodes.

The best hotel in Rhodes!!!!

We visited this hotel for our honeymoon and we couldn’t fault anything. We stayed B&B and had a deluxe room with sea view. We did initially think the room was a little small but it had everything we needed. Very modern room. Great air con, comfortable bed and powerful shower. The hotel is spotless. The staff could not do more for you and you wanted for nothing when it came to breakfast. The food is fresh and delicious. The hotel is in the best location with Lindos being a 10 min drive away. The guests tended to range from early 20’s to early 70’s so a nice age range. All the staff were amazing from the cleaners to the restaurant staff. Have to give special mention to Giannis who went the extra mile every day. We don’t usually return to the same hotel but we will definitely be going back here. It was superb 😊

Questionable room descriptions and poor food quality at breakfast

Having stayed in a number of luxury hotels over the years, we booked Lindos Grand expecting a genuine five-star experience. Unfortunately, despite charging five-star prices, we found the hotel delivered closer to a four-star experience, with some aspects falling well below that standard.

The positives

The large infinity pool overlooking Vlycha Bay is beautiful and is undoubtedly the highlight of the hotel. We also loved the beach directly in front of the hotel. The bay is stunning, the sea is crystal clear, and having complimentary hotel sunbeds available on the beach made it easy to relax and enjoy the setting.

The staff were, overall helpful and genuinely sweet throughout our stay. In particular, Nikos at reception was very sweet. Staff also responded to any queries or requests as tried their best to leave customers satisfied.

The negatives

  1. Seafront room was not truly seafront

We booked and paid for a seafront Junior Suite, yet our initial room had a significant part of the view blocked by the neighbouring sister hotel. After raising the issue, we were moved to another room with a clearer view. In reality, many rooms are better described as sea view rather than true seafront. We even considered upgrading to a private pool room, only to discover that many of these are set further back from the sea, offer poorer views, and provide very little privacy.

  1. Layout of the resort

The resort is spread across multiple levels, meaning many guests rely on the buggy service to move around the property. During our stay, the waiting times were often excessive, and we frequently heard other guests expressing the same frustration.

  1. Coffee policy

The room was equipped with an Illy coffee machine, but the complimentary capsules were not replenished daily. Once the initial supply had been used, any additional capsules had to be purchased. As the machine uses Illy capsules rather than the far more common Nespresso size, it was not possible to simply buy replacements locally. This felt unnecessarily penny pinching for a hotel marketed as five-star, particularly when many comparable hotels replenish coffee capsules every day as part of their standard service.

  1. Room quality and amenities

Although we booked a Junior Suite, it felt surprisingly small. The room was divided into a separate bedroom and sitting area with a sofa, giving the impression that the layout had been designed primarily to accommodate a third or even fourth guest rather than to maximise comfort and space for two people. As a result, it lacked the spacious and luxurious feel expected from a five-star Junior Suite.

The room also had a noticeable unpleasant odour on arrival to the extent that an automatic fragrance diffuser had clearly been installed to mask it rather than address the underlying issue. This pong smell was noticeable each time we opened the door and entered the room. The white dressing gowns were surprisingly soft and better quality. The plimsoles supplied were too thin and cheap quality. Luckily we had our own from a previous resort

  1. Breakfast quality

Breakfast was probably the weakest aspect of our stay and probably the worst breakfast we have ever had at a 5 star hotel.

While the selection looked extensive, the quality simply was not there. Items such as cucumbers had clearly been left out for some time, omelettes were cold and we were not allowed to have them freshly made (unless at an additional cost). pastries lacked freshness, and the spanakopita and bougatsa were dry rather than crisp and flaky, giving the impression that some items had been reheated from frozen.

Fresh orange juice was advertised, but what was served certainly did not taste freshly squeezed. We were also surprised to discover that soft boiled or poached eggs incurred an additional charge, with a separate chargeable breakfast menu for even poached or soft boiled eggs . Overall, breakfast felt designed for high-volume package tourism rather than a luxury five-star hotel. We have been to many 3-4 star resorts where freshly prepared eggs were part of the buffet breakfast morning service and it felt ridiculous to be begging for a soft boiled egg for an additional charge.

The other experience with food were the welcome gift of four macaroons that were awaiting us on arrival in the room. Unfortunately they were also stale, which was not the best first impression for a luxury hotel.

  1. Shower

The shower pressure was inconsistent, while the water temperature fluctuated unpredictably between very hot and cold, making it difficult to enjoy a comfortable shower.

  1. Pool safety

Although the infinity pool itself is beautiful, the tiles surrounding it become extremely slippery when wet. We found them almost hazardous and guests had to walk very carefully to avoid slipping. This is a safety issue that should be addressed.

  1. Maintenance and furnishings

For a hotel marketed as five-star, some of the furniture felt rather cheap and did not reflect the premium rates being charged. There were also several visible signs of wear and tear, including chipped furniture and finishes that clearly require some TLC. Individually these may seem minor, but together they detracted from the overall luxury feel.

  1. Overall atmosphere

Although some guests may appreciate it, having a supermarket located within the hotel grounds further reinforced the impression of a resort designed primarily for mass tourism rather than a premium luxury property.

We were fortunate to have booked just bed and breakfast rather than half board , as after experiencing the breakfast quality we had little desire to try the evening buffet or drinks.

Overall

Lindos Grand undoubtedly benefits from a good location overlooking Vlycha Bay, an excellent infinity pool, a beautiful beach with dedicated hotel sunbeds, and several genuinely kind and hardworking members of staff. Unfortunately, these positives are outweighed by questionable room descriptions and room amenities, disappointing food quality, poor attention to detail and numerous cost-cutting measures that simply do not belong in a hotel charging five-star prices.

Lindos Grand, In its current form, however, feels much closer to a three-and-a-half to four-star hotel than the five-star experience advertised.

We will not return or recommend.

The best hotel ever!!

Our stay at Lindos Grand Resort & Spa was simply unforgettable. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, we felt genuinely welcomed and cared for.

The entire hotel has a peaceful, luxurious atmosphere that makes it the perfect place to relax. The pool is absolutely stunning, always spotless, and offers breathtaking views. We especially loved the morning yoga sessions by the pool – such a wonderful and unique way to start the day.

The food deserves special praise. Both the main restaurant and the pool bar served delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented meals every day. A huge thank you to the bar manager and the entire bar team for their outstanding service, professionalism, and warm hospitality.

The biggest thank you goes to Aggelica and the wonderful reception team. Their kindness, genuine smiles, and willingness to help with every request made us feel like valued guests throughout our stay. They truly went above and beyond.

Thank you to everyone at Lindos Grand Resort & Spa for creating such amazing memories. We will definitely return and highly recommend this beautiful hotel to anyone visiting Rhodes!
