Lindos Blu Luxury Hotel and Suites

I wrote a review on the incredible Lindos Blu a few years ago, but we are back, so I thought I’d share a more current assessment. In summary, it is as amazing as ever if not better, not a detail missed and remains the place to beat. A wonderful hotel to spend your holiday, with fantastic hosts and a beautiful location. The leadership team of Nikos, Inese and Katerina should be very proud of what they and their teams have achieved, Epic! ⭐️. Thank you so much for another brilliant holiday!

I’m writing this review from the very well-appointed private beach area with large comfortable loungers situated on the sand, or expansive terrace area. It’s notable that the covers are regularly changed for cleaning – don’t often see that anywhere. There’s no shortage of connectivity through the hotel WiFi and a packed menu of food and drink. All overseen by the fantastic Giannis, you’ll be looked after exceptionally well. There are plenty of options to get up and down the banked road to the beach (the hotel is built into the cliff face) including golf cart, lifts, or a spirited walk up and down if you fancy it.

This time we are staying in one of the Deluxe Jacuzzi rooms, quite a bit larger than the standard rooms and high up, with incredible views of Vlicha Bay which you can take in from your own loungers or jacuzzi on the balcony. They have recently been overhauled with a lovely modern interior and new furniture which we really like. In my experience all the room types here are very well appointed, great views and very well maintained.

Now food…from breakfast to evening meal the choice is vast, quality exceptional and something for everyone. Breakfast is a standout buffet style of fruit, breads, pastries, cakes, cereals, meats, cheeses, hot food, fish, vegetables, I could go on and on. That level of variety extends to the main hotel dinner offering in Smeraldo. With a soup to start, followed by an equally expansive themed buffet, brilliantly presented main (fine dining style) and a rack of very well-presented deserts, it’s all there for you to enjoy, and you really will. The wines are also plentiful, whatever your taste.

If you do want to step it up a notch, The Five Senses restaurant at the top of the hotel offers a very intimate setting with exceptional food and drinks. It is proper fine dining offering an experience to match. A place to take your time and enjoy the innovative, tasty and stunning dishes individually prepared. Probably not one for every night of your holiday, but a lovely indulgence you should do. There is a very popular lobster night on a Monday at this restaurant, but book early!

The hotel bar is right up top, views amazing and whether it’s beers, wines, spirits or cocktails you’ll be covered. Lovely before and after dinner. The rest of the facilities at the hotel follow the same focus on quality. There’s a well-appointed shop, a brilliant spa and lovely swimming pools dotted around, both outdoor and indoor. The gym is shod in technogym kit which is very current, capable, and great to use, alongside loads of free weights, kettlebells, TRX etc etc.

This remains the only hotel (ignoring work trips) that I have been to more than once, and we will come again and again. It is exceptional, as attested by the sheer amount of repeat guests and constant stream of positive reviews – there is a reason for that and it’s the consistency of everything above. Amazing People, Amazing Hotel and Amazing Location! Be sure to book, you won’t be disappointed.

I was unsure of whether the reviews of this hotel were going to set my experience up to fail, as having read the reviews I had very high expectations. In my experience, this is one of the best hotels I have had the privilege to stay and dine at. Having spent holidays in The Four Seasons hotels, The One and Only hotel group, the Burj in Dubai, various hotels in Monaco along with many other 5 star resorts, along with eating in Michelin starred restaurants worldwide. I can honestly say that the hotel standard to include food is on par with my previous experiences. The beef wellington served on the first night of my stay at Lindos Blu surpassed the same dish eaten at the Cliff Restaurant in Barbados earlier this year. (Rhianna eats at this restaurant when at home) Now for the best bit - the staff. Each and every staff member is there to make your experience the best you can have. It is evident that all staff take tremendous pride in their jobs, from management down, the main focus is the guest experience.

If you get the opportunity to book into the hotel spa - do it. Anneta is the spa manager who exudes a serene and calm aura……that is carried throughout the spa. Anna-Maria provided a tailored treatment to an injured shoulder and Eva provided a facial and shoulder massage. Both therapists are highly professional and listen to what you would like to achieve.

Rooms are cleaned daily, to a high standard, with bottled water replenished daily.

It is hard to put into words just how exceptional this hotel is. If you are looking at reviews to help in your decision making - look no further and make the booking. You will not be disappointed.

I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel - an experience not to be missed.
