Great hotel - we stayed here as a family this month (July) and I have to say what a super place ! Staff are really freindly and polite made us feel really welcome. Food is excellent great buffet and excellent Pizza in the afternoon. Room was clean and modern with Air-conditioning and a safe In short a great base to exsplor the island. I would return to this hotel Local beach is ok bit if you have a car there are amazing beaches less then a 20 min drive away.
Recently stayed for 5 nights with my wife. Nice, clean and well maintained small hotel, that was perfect for a quiet relaxing break. All inclusive food and drinks were good but did feel slightly repetitive after a few days but for the price we paid we had no complaints. Ate out a couple of nights in the restaurants local to the hotel. Beaches, shops and bars all within walking distance. Hard working and pleasant staff with a special mention to the guys at the pool bar in the evening. I would definitely recommend this hotel to couples or young families looking for a quiet holiday but maybe not if your looking for an action packed party holiday or have teenagers, the local area is nice but quiet.
Firstly this hotel is far from 4*, in my opinion it is around the level of 2plus/3 hotels I have previously visited. The hotel certainly fell short on many areas and I would not return. I understand that the hotel star system is very different in places like Greece, Turkey ect and I am taking this into account with the review.
Negatives: -LACK OF SUNBEDS! There are only 54 sunbeds (pictured) around the main pool. For a hotel with almost 150 rooms, I am unsure how management think this is ok. There is a smaller pool towards the rear of the hotel, however half of these beds are private as they are on certain rooms' patios. (A note for those rooms; your private sunbeds are in the shade for 75% of the day). -Food: really poor selection and quality of food (pictured). Usually 2 meat dishes, 2 vegetarian dishes and a couple of sides and salads to choose from. The quality was also poor, reminded me of school dinners. It is also very repetitive with very little greek or traditional food. Usually it would be something like "boiled fish", "beef in sauce" or "veal". Labelling of the flavour or type of dishes was poor. -UNDRINKABLE soft drinks. (watered down local soft drinks) which literally tasted of sour water. Most guests including myself were having to buy soft drinks from the shop to consume at the hotel. This meant that cocktails and spirit with mixers were also horrible tasting. Some spirits and ALL cocktails were also only allowed between 18:30-23:00. The 1 bar was only open between 10:00-23:00 so no drinks allowed outside of these times. Unless you are drinking wine or beer only, you will be very disappointed. -Aircon not great. The aircon had been programmed by the hotel to not allow you to set it below 23'C, this meant the aircon did keep the room slightly cool but definitely not what you want on holiday. -Only around 8 spaces in the car park. -Some rooms can be loud until the entertainment finishes at 23:00.
Positives: -The hotel was very clean! Housekeeping were amazing, this was the only part of the hotel which lived up to its 4* rating! -Staff are friendly and quick to help. -Seperate to the main restaurant there is pizza (day) and gyros (evening) available. These are good and a nice addition. -Beds are conforatble and rooms are average with no massive complaints (except wires in the bathroom wall for some reason?) -Nicely located at the start of the Kolymbia main street, the town is nice and small with everything you need and a good bus service.
Don't forget there is a €10 per night tax payable when you check-in. I was unsure whether to give the hotel a 2 or 3 star review but in the end I decided 2 was an honest representation (2 stars dropped for being poor in a few important areas and another for advertising itself as a 4* hotel when it really isn't even close).
Great hotel, lovely atmosphere for couples. Not so much family oriented. Food was lovely, plenty of choice. Rooms cleaned to a very high standard everyday. Good value for money and literally on the main kolymbia strip. Taxi rank is right outside. Staff very friendly, bar staff fantastic. Will stay again.
Hotel is beautifully clean , cleaners come in daily Pool is nice and warm there’s a 2nd pool at the back but we didn’t use this , it’s a quiet area Soft drinks not the best tasting but are the same across Rhodes apparently , we just bought coke from shop and added to spirits in evening Only beer , wine and soft drinks in day but that suited us , we are beach people anyway Max the animation man is hilarious and speaks several languages , he’s super friendly All staff were wonderful , very friendly and helpful The hotel is located on main road in kolyombia. Where there are shops and bars but sadly no live music , kolyombia for us was a little too quiet but still a stunning place Food was excellent , wide choice daily and always warm , even the fussiest of eaters could find something . Deserts were varied and lovely and they had live stations throughout our stay with sushi and other traditional greek dishes being made fresh Local beaches are nice although be prepared to pay €20 to € 30 euro for 2 beds and umbrella Room was clean and adequate but small , but ok to sleep and get ready , tea/coffee facilities would be a bonus Ice creams , pizza available during day and gyros at night made fresh Local beaches Overall a lovely holiday , nice hotel , we sadly wouldn’t return as kolmbia too quiet for us but if you are looking for a quiet relaxing holiday then the marathon is the place for you Definitely worth the 4 stars and good value for money Rhodes is stunning , Lindos is a must see , and if you want a lively night out then get the bus to Faliraki €2.40 pp and taxi back around €25to €30 euros Enjoy your stay , it’s a great hotel and staff 😃
