Overall disappointing 👎
Very disappointing. Apart from the staff in the restaurant everyone else was unhelpful and uncooperative. Food deteriorated as the days went by - we were pleased to be leaving. Won't be returning to Rhodes 👎
Lydia Maris - A lovely week away
We had a lovely stay at Lydia Maris, the hotel & grounds were very nice. The room was small but had everything we needed & very clean. We had a shared pool, which unfortunately we only used twice as it was freezing cold! The main pool was slightly warmer, however, it was closed for 3 days following the storm that hit (it flooded & turned green so needed cleaning) my only criticism was that cleaning it could have been started a day earlier as there was nowhere else to swim! The food was nice, usual buffet food but always something for everyone & themed nights were nice. Breakfast was our favourite meal there. The pizza & gyros places were outstanding! Shoutouts to the following staff who were brilliant: Maria the cleaner - lovely, friendly lady & left our room spotless every day, Dennis the bartender/waiter who went above & beyond. Kiki the children’s entertainer & kids club - she was kind & very good with the littles & finally Manolis - so professional but warm & kind, particularly on the day of the storm but he was very kind & helpful too. The hotel is listed as a 5* but I would say it’s more of a 4*, it needs a bit of updating in places & there weren’t some of those extra 5* touches but it was still a lovely hotel with great staff & we enjoyed it. We’d definitely come back.

Lovely little gem of a hotel
What a lovely little break we had, the staff are so welcoming, always smiling and can't do enough for you. Very rare and was refreshing to witness. The rooms are very modern, clean, and the hair dryer in the bathroom is fab.
Food & drinks - always something to eat, wine and beer available at meal times. Cocktails aren't the greatest ( weak), if you're a vodka drinker you can get a slush from the ice cream hut and ask the bar to put vodka in it ( winner). There's pizza, gyros and ice cream 11-6 which was lovely little bonus and went down a treat.
Entertainment - The team are full of energy during the day, although night time entertainment isn't the greatest, we usually went out for a drink after tea, then returned about 10pm for a few drinks.
There is a bus stop outside the hotel so you can head into Lindos or Rhodes, reception can provide timetable for this also. I would recommend arranging your own transfer to and from airport as cheaper, 50-55 euros.
A pleasant stay minus the weather, we hope to come back next year, thank you x

Lovely holiday
Overall, we had a fantastic holiday and were genuinely sad to come home.
The food was excellent, with a huge amount of choice and everything we tried was delicious. I honestly can't see how anyone would struggle to find something they enjoyed. The Gyros grill during the day was a particular highlight, serving great food with an even bigger smile.
The entertainment team, bar staff and wider hotel team were all exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The pool was lovely, if a little fresh at times, and there were always plenty of sun loungers available.
A few points of constructive feedback. Whilst our room was clean and comfortable, it was very tired and is overdue a refresh. The bathroom appeared to have been recently renovated and was excellent, which made the rest of the room feel even more dated by comparison.
The food quality was superb, but it was often not quite as hot as it could have been. I appreciate this is a challenge in a buffet-style environment but it was a real shame for such lovely food to be cold.
My final observation would be regarding the reception team. On several occasions we witnessed guests seeking help with genuine issues and felt the responses were rude. This was observed on multiple occasions and was totally unnecessary.
That said, these were relatively minor points in what was otherwise a wonderful holiday. We had a fantastic time, thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and wouldn't hesitate to return

Good stay in June 2026
We stayed 10 nights in June 2026. The hotel was the best hotel we have visited so far with our family. Food was good, and everyone from our picky-eating family found something good to eat. The pool was a bit small, but clean and more than enough for us.
The staff was really friendly. Gustavo made our time worth while. Our kids still talk about how funny he was.
We have already booked a trip to Rodos for June 2027, and the hotel will once more be Lydia Maris. A good choice for everybody.
