Excellent hotel - doesn't need much to be 5*
Don't come here if you are expecting an animation team doing waterpolo or archery during the day, or if you are expecting things on at night. This beautiful hotel is for rest and relaxation. We arrived early morning for two weeks and were impressed with the room and contents of the minibar. Some nice sandwiches were provided. The app is crucial. However, it would still have been useful to have been told some things on arrival. e.g.
- you can book as many a la carte restaurants as you want - rather than the usual 2 per week that many hotels offer
- what happens with beach towels in terms of getting fresh ones
- that sunbeds are available for everyone and not just the room they are outside - this caused a few arguments in the time we were there.
- drinks service is only available to the main pool and no others - because they have 11 pools
- room service is available free of charge 24 hours
- knowing which wines you can order in the restaurants is important - given the wine lists are extensive, asking for for a specific type of wine was challenging.
The sun beds were really comfy and the pools and pool areas very clean. If you wanted music then the main pool is for you. The rest were all very chilled, especially as its a kid free hotel. The food in the buffet restaurant was so good - buffet restaurants can always be a bit samey. The a la carte's were just superb. The staff were unbelievably friendly. Best hotel we've been to for that. So many names to list and I won't do them all justice. Phillipos was the Food and Beverage manager. Along with Michalis his Deputy they were so incredibly attentive. We had a couple of small issues regarding service and it was fixed in an instant. They were amazing. Gregori's wine tasting event was brilliant - he was such an excellent host - so knowledgeable. Gerald in the Bar Siana was so funny, and again attentive. Hassan in the Fanes was brilliant too.
If you aren't keeping on your room for a late checkout - cost 160 euros, a courtesy room is available in the gym. I asked if you had to book a slot and was told no. For the guys this seemed fine. However, my wife had to share two showers with 9 other women - not ideal as we were getting ready to leave. So a rota might be better.
In previous hotels, a shuttle bus was on offer to take guests to Rhodes town for 8 euros per person return. This is not on offer here with a booked taxi costing 20 euros - depending on where in the town you wanted to go. Would we go back? In an instant. This was a lovely, quiet hotel filled with amazing people. The food was excellent. If they fix those few minor issues, it has the ability to be the best hotel on the island.

Wonderful experience - will definitely return!
We stayed in a Junior Suite with a Sea View and Shared Pool as a family of four. Although there is no exclusivity over the shared pool, or indeed any of the pools at the hotel (meaning anyone can use any of the pools), this did not spoil our enjoyment, as there are about 11 swimming pools with plenty of comfortable sunbeds and bean bags - enough for everyone! We spent many sunsets on the gorgeous sandy beach. The hotel is elegant and modern in its design, with great touches. The staff are all incredibly kind, helpful and highly professional from the main desk, to the trips and tourism desk to the waiters, pool staff and cleaners. The buffet food in the main restaurant is fantastic and never failed to impress in quality, creativity and options. We tried breakfast, lunch and dinner in the main restaurant. We also dined at some of the other restaurants (as everyone says, you should make bookings at these restaurants using the hotel app as soon as you can) but don't worry if you don't get a booking as the food in the main restaurant is brilliant. The bar created a wonderful vibe in the evening, with a wide variety of cocktails, mocktails, drinks, great music (always a DJ and even musicians on some nights) adding to the ambience. The common thread throughout the hotel is the attention to the detail from the rooms, to the restaurant, bar, pool - everything is looked after so well.

We had a truly wonderful experience at this hotel!
Philippos, the F&B Manager, was absolutely outstanding — highly professional, attentive, and always making sure that everything was perfect.
The service at Siana was exceptional, with excellent drinks and outstanding hospitality. We also had the pleasure of dining at Masari and Fourni restaurant , where both the food and the service were excellent.
Overall, this is a wonderful hotel with an amazing atmosphere and, most importantly, fantastic people who truly make the experience special.
We had an unforgettable stay and would definitely recommend this hotel. We look forward to coming back!
A beautiful hotel with so much potential
We stayed here for a week, and whilst it is a beautiful hotel with lots of qualities, there are shortfalls which I don’t think reflect a 5* hotel.
The hotel is beautiful and is incredibly clean. The rooms are large, and the beds were really comfortable. The service from every member of staff was excellent, and everyone from at reception, to waiters, to the pool staff were all very lovely and attentive. I can’t say we waited more than a few minutes for a drinks order, or for the drinks to be delivered - it was all very prompt. The food selection was also excellent, with plenty of choice for everyone. We enjoyed the pottery class and yoga that the hotel put on.
Frustratingly, what is letting the hotel down are small things which really shouldn’t be a problem. Firstly, due to sustainability reasons, the room air con won’t go below 22 degrees. This is too hot for sleeping, especially if you are a hot sleeper and leaving you uncomfortable. Reception did provide a fan which was appreciated, however they say it’s for sustainability yet they give out so many plastic bottles every day?! The drinks menu looks wonderful with a huge selection, however I would say around 70% of the time what we wanted to drink wasn’t available. Three alcohol free wines were on the menu, and by the mid-end of the week there none left in all the bars and restaurant. And we would have a glass or two a day, so weren’t exactly drinking it all up. Cocktail availability was also limited depending on which bar you ordered from, even if it was on the menu. I also heard the same from other people when they tried to order drinks.
Whilst there are many pools, there aren’t enough sun beds for July peak season. If you go out for the morning, it’s luck if you get anywhere to sit for the afternoon. They have such an unused area where the Minuty wine stand is that could have more sunbeds by the main pool. This area is completely unused apart from 2h on a Sunday…
The evening also didn’t have much entertainment, and could be quite boring after dinner after several nights of playing cards. There was a lovely band and singer on one of the evenings, but this wasn’t advertised on the app! We could have easily missed this in the bar, had we not have been nearby. Please have more live music, and let people know on the app.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s a lovely resort, and I hope that they make some improvements to bring this back up to a 5* resort.

Beautiful stay and beautiful staff
We've just returned from our honeymoon at the Ella Ellisa and it was fantastic. On arrival our room had been set with a Prosecco and fresh fruit platter which was much appreciated after our travels from Ireland.
The amenities where great and the staff very attentive, particularly around the main pool. Everyone was great, though James stood out as a star who would go out of his way to accommodate any request. Very personable and often remembered our regular orders.
After a couple of evenings we found the 33 1/3 bar, which we then attended every evening until our stay ended. The quality of the mixologists we found to be a level above as the cocktails where incredible. We also had the absolute pleasure of becoming friendly with Jenefer and Lampa who made each evenings visit to the bar exceed any expectations and provided us with the most welcoming experience I've ever had when on holiday. These girls made our stay five stars!
