The hotel is located on the beach of Ialyssos, on the northwest part of Rhodes; it is 8 km from the island capital, and 6.5 km from the airport. Ialyssos, also known as “Trianta”, is the second largest city on the island, with a population of approximately 12,000; it also features one of the most beautiful and fully organized beaches, with fine sand, pebbles and crystal-clear waters. It is also known for attracting wind surfers, due to the favourable winds in the area. Due to this, wind surfing competitions are held here every year. The establishment is distinguished for its high level of services combined with an ideal location on one of the best-organized beaches on Rhodes, and the staff’s hospitable attitude, will turn the guests holiday into an unforgettable experience. Easy access both from the city of Rhodes and from the airport, coupled with the countless options available to visitors for sight-seeing, food, shopping, and entertainment, have elevated Ialysos to one of the most popular destinations on Rhodes. All rooms are spacious and full of light, with comforts that meet contemporary demands like modern furniture, comfortable beds, full sound-proofing, all guarantee that you will enjoy serene and restful moments. For the business guests there is a conference center which is fully equipped.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Probably the best holiday experience we’ve ever had.
Stayed for 7 nights at Blue Horizon and from the very start all staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. We had a bungalow with garden view which was spacious and modern and very clean.
Food was amazing particularly as I’m a picky eater but I couldn’t fault it, the Mexican theme was my favourite and I ate far too much it was so nice.
Pool is clean, quiet in the afternoon and more upbeat in the late morning.
Weather was amazing, just can’t fault it and would go again without hesitation.
We went here on the 10th June 2026 for our honeymoon for 10 days. Overall it was a good experience but there were a few details that could have made it better. The staff and the cleanliness were top notch. A few miserable restaurant staff but all other staff were excellent, especially Peter and Kevin in the bars. There wasn't much choice of drinks in the main bar and the cocktails were ready made and not very nice. Food wise, we stayed half board so had breakfast and evening meal. Breakfasts were very much geared towards the German guests, of which there were lots and we didn't like it the food very much. We had breakfast out a few times because of this. Evening meals were hit and miss. Lots of the dishes were very salty and there was no options for children at all. If we had taken the kids with us we would have struggled to get them to eat most of the international dishes. Also drinks for the All Inclusive guests were not included at meal times and they were charged extra which I wouldn't have been happy about. We also had to pay €8 per day for 2 sunbeds on the grass or the beach area, which isn't much, but when you pay over £2000 for a holiday you'd expect this to be included for guests, seeing as it'sa 4* hotel. Sunbeds were only free around the pool but the Germans got there first! Also, the rooms were lovely, and the view was amazing, bathroom was nice but the room was let down by the bed which was very hard and very dated with lumpy pillows. Other guests we spoke to thought the same.
We have just returned from a week at the blue horizon rhodes. The welcome at reception and speed of check in was a good start. The whole experience was very friendly with attention to detail from the cleanliness to the food choice. The hotel was well situated along with a lovely pool and plenty of sunbeds.Keep the good work up, a lovely peaceful stay
Thanks Mark 😊
A spotlessly clean hotel from which we have just returned, we stayed on a half board basis and found the food pretty much the usual standard and we always got something for breakfast or tea. The staff are very friendly and attentive, from Yanna on the front desk who was very helpful , Magna one of the maids who always welcomed us with her Big genuine smile and the maids liked to leave you a display of flowers most days on your bed for your return. Sibeeca/sabeeca in the restaurant was Again very cheery with her smile and attentiveness, the staff all in all are great and couldn’t be faulted. The gardens and grounds are very nice with a short walk through the beautifully manicured gardens to the pebble beach, be warned, bathe shoes are a must and probably one of two things that were negative about blue horizon as the pebble beach would be quite painful without a pair, the only other negative thing was the taxi into Rhodes town for trips or sight seeing was always a flat €20 with the hotel being a bit out from the town. Lastly if you love burgers, steaks and all sorts and brilliant cocktails then be sure to check out Alkionis Sports Bar & Grill a two minute walk from the blue horizon which was great especially for the late night World Cup games on in the early hours of the morning
Noisy, told the beach or grass sunbeds (chargeable)are peaceful. Please take a minute to listen to the video I posted. Staff/ receptionist rude/unhelpful. Bsr by beach very nice staff. Restaurant staff rude, rushing us setting up lunch as we wanted breakfast, rude.
