10 kilometres from Rhodes Town with its picturesque medieval walled city and countless historic and modern attractions, this elegant hotel combines easy access to the local points of interest with a secluded location just a 5-minute walk from the most popular beach on the island. Especially popular among families with children, the complex offers not only a large outdoor pool with sun loungers and parasols, but a fantastic waterpark with numerous thrilling water slides, a children's pool and a playground. After a day of sun, water and fun, guests will appreciate the spacious rooms with individually controlled air-conditioning. Those who prefer a more environment-friendly way of cooling down, can have a refreshing drink on the breezy balcony and patio of their suites.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Love the pool and the staff Are Nice like the slides and my bed feels good
love this place the pool is good and i like how much the staff is kind
me and my friend stayed here mid july. checked in and got put in a golf buggy to go to our room because it was SO far away from the hotel complex? arrived at our room (818, which actually looked derelict) and there was a man dressed all in black sat outside staring up at our balcony (i found this concerning as a young girl). got to the room and the door would not lock from the inside. i have no words for that room other than foul, there was also no wifi or signal. we went to reception and informed them of our issues. i explained that we need a new room which has a signal as my mam at home is ill in and out of hospital. after this they pushed us to stay in the UNLOCKABLE room. obviously we refused so they put us in another room for the night. the next morning we went back to reception and discovered that they had put another young couple in the same block. it seems that they’re putting younger people in the less cared for rooms (shanty). in the end we ended up in a room across the road where there was a lot of works being done, balcony had what looked like blood stains on the floor and if you came back to your room after 12am you were quite literally attacked by water sprinklers. cleaning staff would just walk into your room, apart from that the new room was tolerable. breakfast was ok but lunch and dinner were awful. absolutely stinks outside of the hotel? if you want to be able to sleep before 2am i would highly recommend that you don’t stay in this hotel. cars/vans go past beeping all hours of the day/night. hotel itself is really noisy. one of our room keys did not work. all sun loungers are pinched by 9am. found restaurant staff stare at you, especially if you’re female. had an overall bad experience with this hotel and wouldn’t even recommend it to my worst enemy.
We stayed at Sun Palace Hotel and unfortunately our experience was very disappointing.!! The attached photo shows the room we were given for our first night. This is not what we would expect from a 4-star hotel.!!
The positives first: the water park was good, and my 10-year-old daughter enjoyed it. The Greek restaurant served delicious food, and the staff in the restaurant was friendly and welcoming. The location is also good, with a lovely beach just a 5-minute walk away.
Unfortunately, many aspects of our stay did not meet the standard expected from a 4-star hotel. On arrival, we waited around five hours to receive the room we had booked. The first room offered was not the room category we paid for, and we were told the hotel was fully booked.
During our 7-day stay, our room was cleaned only twice, despite daily cleaning being advertised. I had to ask reception several times for cleaning, but I was repeatedly told it had already been done when this was not true. I was also wrongly accused by hotel management of requesting that our room should not be cleaned, which never happened.
The cleanliness of some public areas was disappointing. The rubbish bins near the bars were dirty and there were unpleasant smells, including in the toilet near reception. Wine was served in regular glasses instead of wine glasses, which did not feel like the standard expected from a 4-star hotel.
At the end of our stay, after all these issues, we asked for a small goodwill gesture of a 2-hour late check-out. We were told we had to pay €40, and I was told that if I did not pay, there could be a problem with being allowed to board our flight. I found this extremely stressful and humiliating.
The support from TUI representatives was also very disappointing. They did not make any real effort to resolve the problems or improve our experience.
Overall, it is difficult to understand how this hotel can be considered a 4-star property, as many aspects did not match the expected standards.
Despite some positives, this was not the holiday experience we expected.
it is a good hotel and is fun aswell
