Lovely hotel until you have a problem . Both me and my partner became unwell with a sickness bug the day of leaving Flight at 2am expected to check out the room at 11am , both being sick no where to go unless sitting inside possibly infecting others trying to enjoy their holiday , I asked reception if there was a possibility they could put us in a room for the rest of the day ( willing to pay ) so we can rest and other guests are not being affected . The rude lady on reception was not bothered and said it wasn’t her problem . Shocking customer service .
This is a truly amazing hotel. We've done the 5 star all inclusive family thing for several holidays now and this was by far the best. Food, pools, rooms (not huge, but very nice), bars and beach all fantastic.
The standout for us as a family with young kids was the kids pool and slides. Yes the slides open one at a time, but the lifeguards control the usage with utmost safety. Lovely little bar with snacks throughout the day, and the animation team were FANTASTIC.
The only thing we were a little disappointed with was the evening entertainment. Mostly singers, who were very talented, but it got a little repetitive. The Michael Jackson Tribute show was very good though!
All of the staff were nothing short of incredible. Especially the restaurant team.
Things to be aware of:
Beach is beautiful but you need pool shoes as it's a rocky paddling experience.
There is an issue with people reserving sunbeds around the main pool. Not sure of the solution, but it was annoying.
Tourist tax. We were unprepared for that one when checking in.
The all inclusive"Local" spirits are weak. Ask for the branded alternatives which they do have behind the bars.
The lifts are small and very busy at peak times.
Been a long time since I've not wanted to come home at the end of a holiday, but this hotel pulled it off ! Considering returning next year!
Since this is our seventh time in this Hotel, we are probably not the most objective reviewers, but I’ll write a couple of words anyway. We were visiting both in July and August this year and our only regret is that, due to our jobs, we are unable to come once more in September/October. This time we stayed in the executive suite, even though family room with sliding doors is totally fine for a family with two small (5 and 2) children. The room was great, always cleaned, as usual no issues with it. The food was amazing, as always. I must mention a couple of people from the main restaurant - Poly and both Marias - we’ve known them for years now, and Panagiotis, who we met in July for the first time. Amazing people who you can only wish to have around you. They moved all the daily activities to the water park area this year, so it’s a bit louder over there, but it’s a great place to spend your time with the kids, both on the slides and in the bar, where two wonderful and kind laides are working. Since the activities moved to the water park, the pool bar is much less crowded than it was in the past. Also, if you are visiting with small kids, beach bar is a great place to go starting from 11 am snacks which are very nice. One more thing - I am astounded when I read that someone mentiones recepction staff in any bad way, we’ve never had an experience like that in all our stays. I must mention Eleni who works at the reception, there was never an issue that she didn’t resolve in a matter of seconds for us. All in all, we are highly recommending this hotel for people with children, I am sure you will want to visit it again after spending some time in it. Of course, we are planning on coming back next year, so this won’t be our last review.
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The atmosphere was fantastic, the staff were friendly and helpful, and there was always something fun to do. The animation team was fantastic, friendly and energetic, offering a great variety of activities and creating a lively atmosphere throughout our stay. We would especially like to highlight Kola, the darts animator, who was incredibly engaging and made the darts games great fun. His enthusiasm and positive attitude made the sessions one of the highlights of our holiday. We would happily come back and highly recommend this hotel for a fun and enjoyable holiday!
Thought I’d leave a detailed, balanced review for anyone with time to read it. Really enjoyed our stay here and have listed feedback:
Room Lovely and clean. Had to ring reception on two separate days to ask them to fix the plug socket next to the bed which was hanging off the wall (the phone plugged into it worked and the light switches but the plug wouldn’t). It was fixed to the wall after the second call but still didn’t work. I gave up keep calling. There’s a small fridge in the room and it had two bottles of water in when we arrived but none after that. The bathroom doesn’t have a door on it so you can hear in the bedroom what’s happening on the toilet and any smells from the bathroom area. The hairdryer didn’t work and just smells of burning electrics when it’s turned on but we brought our own. I requested a quiet room and was allocated one just off the quad where the lifts are and were only on the third floor. We booked a sea view and our room was above (slightly to the side) the pool bar which is open in the evening so it was noisy until midnight. The rooms are not sound proof. Having the balcony door closed didn’t make much difference to the noise at night. Housekeeping staff are LOVELY! However, we didn’t leave our room until 11:55am one day and had the do not disturb on until then, we put the “please make the room” sign on when we left but no one did that day . At 9am, someone opened our door and came into the room realising it wasn’t the right room so the keys obviously work for several rooms.
The seat in the room wasn’t made either stained with make up and other marks. It’s a bit pointless as you can’t sit on it and see into the mirror as the mirror is too high.
Toilets The toilets in communal areas next to the pool have Frosted glass and no locks. There’s automatic lights in them that don’t stay on when you are in there.
Pool and beach There are nowhere near enough sun loungers for this hotel round the pools or on the beach. A lot of the sunloungers on the beach are broken. The sunloungers round the pool are all reserved with towels by 8am. There aren’t staff who walk round to clear up empty cups or food packages so on a windy day, they can end up in the pool or sea.
Restaurants The Italian restaurant is lovely; both the food and service.
The food in the main restaurant is lovely with a wide variety at breakfast, lunch and dinner. However, it’s rarely more than like warm. Even on Italian night, we arrived 5 minutes after the restaurant opened and the carbonara was cold. The staff are ran off their feet and the man on the door seems to always be arguing with the staff who seat people (the man outside and the lady inside) - I don’t know if these three are managers as they wear a different uniform to the staff who bring drinks and clear tables. There can be a queue to get into the buffet restaurant but that’s because there’s not enough staff to clear the tables quickly enough. The staff in the restaurant work SO hard but there’s just not enough of them.
In all restaurants, at any time of the day, you have to hunt for waiting staff if you want more than one drink as they only seem to have enough staff to bring people one drink per meal. We had to wait 15 minutes one morning for someone just to take a drinks order.
The beach bar during the day is staffed by two lovely men (sure they’re related as they look almost identical).
The swim up bar in the family pool has lovely staff. The frozen yogurts are really nice, as is the iced green tea (I’ve never tried it before but a server recommended it to me one day and I’m grateful she did!).
You never have to wait long at any of the bars during the day for a drink. The bar upstairs on the other hand … expect a long wait for your order to be taken and your drinks to arrive. This can be 20 minutes even when there’s only you and two other small tables in!
Hotel The hotel overall is lovely. Unhelpful signs of wear so you can’t tell what some signs mean and the buttons on the room which have red and green lights have faded signs so we don’t know what they mean. There’s no welcome book or information on the hotel app to explain things in the room.
Hire of the tennis courts is free but not mentioned anywhere. The gym is open until 8pm and has 3 x treadmills, a cross trainer and three bikes (plus weights).
The lifts only allow two people or a small family in at one time so if there are people in the lifts only allow, the lift won’t stop at your floor. There are only three small lifts for the whole hotel which can mean a lot of waiting around for a lift. They don’t stop at your floor if they already have people in so if you’re on a lower floor, you have a longer wait.
The air con in communal areas is poor. You can’t feel it inside the restaurant and there aren’t fan on the ceiling outdoors in eating areas to eat and cool the temperatures any.
