The 430m beach is laid out with sunbeds and gazebos, while a unique culinary experience awaits with 16 food and beverage outlets dotted throughout the resort.
Pros- good location excellent food and are able to dine in all 4 a la carte restaurants. Great freshly made cocktails. Cons- only water in the fridge. I expected at least some cold drinks for a 5 star. Impossible to get a sun bed around the pool unless you are up really early as not enough beds. Entertainment is probably the worst in the amphitheater and only 9-10 pm. Occasional singer around the pool bar which is not much better.
First off let me start with the people that make your holiday better while staying in Amada: The animation team, especially Victoria, Mirre and Sigrid. Their energy and happy vibes are unmatched. Then there are the people from the main restaurant: Kromidas Panagiotis, Pantios Vasilis and Iska Maria Eirini go well beyond what is expected to make you feel welcome and appreciated. Each day we looked forward to seeing them. They truly are fantastic human beings.
The hotel itself is very nice, food is great (even the beach bars provided more than decent food), the rooms are clean, the elevators are fast. The grounds are clean and with 1 exception (see below) well maintained. The shows in the evening were very entertaining, too bad they didn't host the WK 2026 games in the hotel, but there is a bar on walking distance that does.
There are plenty activities throughout the day and the pool has an adult only zone for those looking a bit or a more relaxed experience.
Just a few minor things cost it a 5/5 review:
Having read reviews of different hotels/resorts in Rhodes, we picked the Amada Collosos Resort. Even though the reviews were excellent we were apprehensive as to how the resort would be when we got there. We shouldn't have worried as first impressions of the hotel were amazing. Ours was a late night flight so by the time we got to Amada Collosos it was about 2am. After checking in we were hungry and we were told that there were sandwiches in the fridge in our room. Our room had sea view as was clean and lovely. We went all inclusive. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner was in the main buffet dining room. There was a lot of different delicious dishes and my wife being vegetarian, we were happy they had plant based section. All the staff were very helpful and courteous. We used to sit in the outside dining area where Vasilis who was the head there was so friendly as helpful as knew what drinks we wanted. He is an asset to the resort. Also would like to mention Katerina who brought our tea for breakfast and was always pleasant. Most of the staff there were so nice but would like to mention the following ones ......Vasilis dining area Katerina buffet dinning room Christina Elena Kouloumbraki Maria captain Marina from housekeeping Dimitris at the Towel counter at poolside. Kromidas Panagiotis Manager Yaedev at the Cocktail bar. The only disappointment was in the first few days when we couldn't get a sunbed at the pool as guests had reserved them by putting towels on them. But the hotel changed the policy and started removing towels where the sunbeds were unoccupied before 9am. There were a lot of sunbeds free on the beach. Entertainment was ok with the family entertainment nightly at the Amphitheatre. There was also varied entertainment at the main poolside area. On a couple of nights there was entertainment in the cocktail bar as well. The choice of drinks was quite good. We really enjoyed our stay at the Amada Collosos Resort. Hopefully we would like to return there in future.
We chose this beautiful hotel to get married and we definitely chose the right place . From the begging of our holiday ...our wedding ❤️❤️ to the end we have all (17 of us) had the most amazing time. A true treat. The staff are so welcoming and happy to see you. It's so clean !! The food was perfect massive variety for all . And the wedding planning was exactly as we wanted .. all planned by Athena and the team .. lian from Tui who were both equally exceptional. We really couldn't ask for more .Thankyou so much again. Kind regards Mr & Mrs Wilson x .
Lovely hotel amd staff the sunbed issue is so bad they allow people to leave towels from 7am amd the entire pool area is empty. So no beds for early risers we arrived around 8.40am. When we asked at reception they said tough. Most people don't arrive to claim their reserved beds until 11 or 12 so anyone that wants to sit there in the morning cant they should remove towels after 2 hours of an empty bed to give everyone a chance. The rest of the hotel is so good and I would recommend apart from this issue
