The best hotel we have stayed in!! Super friendly and helpful staff, the food was fantastic and always different each night. The views were amazing, the pool and all the facilities were fantastic. We will definitely be returning!!
I could say so much about this place but I’ll try to keep it short. The worst hotel we have ever stayed in. Several of the Hotel staff were sighing constantly. The food is extremely low quality and borderline inedible as other reviews have stated (wish we read this before booking).
The rooms are not in good condition at all and stink of sewage at random parts of the day. Our shower head was rusted, did not work properly and it took 3 days to get this resolved. Items hanging off the wall and mould in the fridge. Ants all over the room too on day one!.When we raised this with staff we were offered an ant spray. I asked them to send someone to do this and they did.
At one point after the morning clean we had left for a short walk and the cleaner snuck back into our room and cleared the mould, when we returned 2 managers and the cleaner were in our room and the cleaner was saying there is no mould and we were lying. Fortunately for us we took many photos and the manager said it’s ok she was lying. Nothing else came of this and we did not feel safe having her come back to our room. The walls are also extremely thin so you can hear every step in the adjacent rooms. How this is a 4* we do not understand. If you have any respect for yourself at all, AVOID this “hotel”.
The hotel is pretty much as described. It is quiet with lovely views. The room was spotlessly clean. The food and drink is plentiful. We ate out most of the time, as planned, but the food we did eat was good quality.
Staff were always friendly and welcoming, and willing to answer any questions about the hotel and Kos.
There is a lack of any entertainment in the bar on evenings, so make sure you take cards/games to keep you entertained.
If you plan to eat out, visit Romeo’s which is about a 10 minute walk away. Food is good, but the owner is super friendly and can’t do enough for you.
Harmony Crest resort is situated around a 10/15 minute bus/car journey from Kos town, the bus stop is at the bottom of the road from the hotel, also E-Scooters from Volto if you download the app. We stayed Wednesday to Wednesday.
On arrival we were greeted at reception with complimentary drinks. All guests are required to pay the tourism tax which for two people, 1 week is €70 based on a 4 star hotel, 5* cost more btw.
We was offered an upgrade to swim up room however out of the 3 blocks or rooms with swimups, 2 of them are constantly in the shade so was not of any value to us personally.
Our room was clean and tidy, we did have an issue or two but reception swiftly dealt with them so I can’t complain at all. (Fridge wasn’t working) .
Treat the cleaners well and they treat you well, a big thanks to the housekeeping team, we actually had a little competition going on between us and them who could make the best towel animals ect. This was a key moment for us that made us enjoy our stay.
FOOD - Yes this is an all inclusive hotel but dont expect your massive dining rooms with tons to choose from because this is not the case.
Breakfast everyday is fresh eggs (can be cooked to how you like) sausages, bacon, salad ect…
Lunch is generally pizza, chips and pasta. Dinner is almost the same tbh.
DRINKS- 2 bars, pool one during the day and indoor bar in the evenings. Cocktails ect, some are too shelf so you pay for them but there is enough of a selection from the inclusive menu.
SPA- no idea why this hotel is a resort and spa because there is no spa… theres 1 sauna that you have to pay for and thats it.. treatment section was closed all week until our last day.
Things to do at the hotel- pool table €2 a game, a dart game and an interactive game table. On our stay we only had 2 nights of some entertainment, singers on one and belly dancing on another. Most people sat around playing cards together.
Theres a small section behind reception with some bits like cans/oreos/crisps and some other body bits but thats it, theres a market shop about 1 mile towards kos town.
This is a small hotel, if your looking for a big resort then this hotel isn’t for you. If you’re a couple looking for a quiet, peaceful vibe then i would recommend this hotel. Id recommend going out to kos town and the old town, go for a nice meal because the food does get boring at the hotel tbh.
Overall id give this a 3 star hotel, definitely could be better.
This is a lovely but slightly dated hotel. We arrived at 2am and anyone who's had a night arrival usually knows what to expect, a night Watchman or security who doesn't care but that wasn't our experience. Upon arrival we were greeted by a very friendly night receptionist/security who welcomed us and told us what to do. Rather than having to write a form out or Passover passports you scan a qr code and fill the form in electronically which is great. To our surprise we were given a food pack which contained sandwiches, fruit, some fruit drinks and water. This was great as it was obviously a long day for us. He showed us where everything was and pointed us to our room. The room keys are an actual key which I haven't seen for years. Our room was clean and yes a little tired but that's ok as nothing was hanging off the wall or dangerous. The balcony was fantastic as we had a sea view room and our surprise the next morning we got the sunrise right in front of us. From our room you can see Bodrum across the sea. In the room you have the usual facilities including a safe which cost €25 for the week to use and again is a physical key. You have a small fridge you can use which includes a freezer box for ice, a kettle and usual stuff. The shower is lovely and yes like others have reported doesn't seal so you need to put the towel down outside the door otherwise the water will spread this isn't unique to this hotel. For the shower pressure have a look outside if you see the pool guy on site I'd wait to have a shower if you want pressure as the whole area looses pressure when he starts refilling the pools (usually around 730-8 am). The cleaners are fantastic and very friendly and always happy to accommodate requests. We had ants once which is fine as the hotel is in the country side we told reception on our way out and the cleaners attended while we were out and sprayed and cleaned all the ants away. As a warning don't leave things like crisps open on the counter the ants will find it. The Aircon is good for the room size and isn't noisy. The pool was a good size and you could always get a sun lounger despite the best efforts by the Germans to claim them early lol. The hotel is mostly German and British tourists the TVs in the room are in German only. The food we found was really good they had what I started calling the beige area where they tend to put things like pizza, chips and chicken nuggets. The central area had the variation of foods they do we always managed to find something to eat with plenty of choice. If you're going to treat it as an all you can eat then yeah you're going to get bored of the food. The drinks aren't great which is the only down side. I didn't like the wine, beer or even the vodka but that's also fine it's a matter of preference as plenty of people seemed to enjoy them. The biggest selling point here is the staff who are fantastic and very helpful and friendly. We got some good local advice from Suzanne on reception (she's Irish). Yes the hotel is a bit in the country but that makes it lovely and quiet at night time, we made good use of the local escooters and bike hire (hot bikes was great at 5 euros a day). Here you can choose to either lay by the pool all day or venture out and see some of the island. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone but I would say it's not a 4 star hotel more of a 3 star. It doesn't have any spa facilities but has a sauna that they charge 30 euros for 30 minutes use I never saw it being on at any point so I'd guess that it actually didn't work. They had entertainment twice per week on Wednesdays and Fridays.
